My pleasure. I think we need some representation in expat videos so I try to bring that perspective when I can. I would agree with your observation with larger cities but I think it would still be hard to navigate. We I go back, I will try and capture more from that perspective.

Greetings from Panama City..great video. Want to add other things not mentioned. There is a permanent farmers/produce market in David in the San Mateo Neighborhood just before the Super99. Thats where many of the locals in David do their shopping. Also the wonderful roadside vendors all over David, and Chiriqui province in general selling fresh produce out of a truck on the side of the street. Another place to visit is the store chain Del Productor al Consumidor. Its mini markets with that same phrase with the Chiriqui flag and multiple locations in David, Dolega, Bugaba etc. Thats where the local produers sell their food directly to customers. Also in Chiriqui Mall in vicicinity of the Pricemart is the CityMall a massive department store with 3 stories and Walmart esque type of experience. They have everything under the sun but it does get crowded. Less crowds at their store in Paso Canoas at the border. Overall good video.

New subscriber! Thank you for telling us about the realities of having a disability in Panama. I'm in a wheelchair now, but can walk around my house if I hold the walls and countertops. I've seen a few videos where people have been told that living close to the equator, will bring them pain relief. I asked my doctor about it, and she said YES!! She hasn't read too much on it yet, but has been to conferences and seminars where they have talked about people with chronic pain, and specifically fibromyalgia. We are planning to take a month to visit this year, and check out the areas we think would be best for us. I live in Canada, and I'm so over 4 seasons. I don't go out a lot right now, so if I could just get some pain relief naturally, and get rid of some of these meds, I would be a VERY happy person!

I stayed one nite in Boquete & one nite in Chirique since no rooms due to Festival Time. If I am now 72-yrs old but if brave would like living in David. By the way, what do you know about Gay Life in David. I once saw that a Gay Bar was sold there. So is David Gay Friendly? I would love to come back to visit Panama & relatives but so worried with my sleeping and vertigo. Today 7/16/21 looking at your video I almost said, I'm Going.... And how about what we read about concerning the garbage crisis, not only in Panama, but other countries as well. Panama's strong anti-covid protocol has saved many a life. Yesterday was the first day since the pandemic began in which there were no deaths. And today only one death. Panamanians have pulled together in solidarity to minimise loss of life and because of this you will be able to live here sooner worry free because actual recovery is around the bend. I predict the mask restriction will be lifted within the next two months. Unlike in other places, Panama did not and will not suffer a third covid wave, and recovery will certainly be more definitive due to no false starts. We are all very appreciative of the moral leadership our government has displayed as the cohesive pro-active understanding as we all have shared what we have had to face. And it delights us in knowing that this truly will soon be over.
Notice that Panama in its resilience and mutual support did not face mass evictions nor bouts of bankruptcy and homelessness as with other geographies. We were all in this together and together we brought the covid deaths down to zero even in the midst of our vaccination campaign. For that I am extremely grateful. Each life is priceless.
