Char Bucket Like I would become a actress but knowing your being stalked on the internet 24/7 would be creepy. But it's something they sacrifice to do what they love.
IMO, "method" actors are making up for their inability to act. If you have to "become" the character, even off-camera, you're no longer acting, are you?
I would just offer the poor guy a sympathetic hug and let him know that there are people who do sincerely understand his anxiety. I'm one of those people who gets freaked out by being the center of attention/in the spotlight, so I well understand how he feels at times.
Thankfully, I think Evans costars are very sympathetic to him. I've watched a lot interviews (and I mean A LOT) of Downey and Scarlett addressing it, and they seem like they genuinely care about Evans' anxiety.
I feel ya, I hate all eyes being on me. Anxiety is a real terrible thing. It can really keep someone from doing so much. I mean, mines not crippling most of the time, but the rare times it is is just awful. People always suggest ways to cope with it, but none ever worked for me. I'm glad Evans found help with his though, and hope you have ways to work around yours.
We can relate cause that can happen to pretty much anyone. Knowing that you can't go back if you start something can really stress the hell out of someone. Glad he got over it.
Leathurkatt I'm worried that if I achieve that level of fame, my only recourse to all the negative attention and pressure, would be to basically walk around with my hand over my ears and NEVER look at magazine covers again. I'd probably volunteer to projects that keep me away from social media, just so the temptation to look is gone. Doesn't sound effective but, it's the best I've come up with.
Well, Evans btw looks like started really liking what he's doing, at least he is really positive about Cap's role in interviews and all and as far as I know he even stated that he would like to extend contract.
....aaaaaaaand people wonder why social anxiety is rampant. Speaking of sick children, you bozo, Evans is a huge charity supporter and he's done amazing things for a children's cancer center that's helped a family member of mine, so YEAH, I think he's probably got more sympathy for sick kids than YOU clearly do. I don't pretend to know the guy, and you don't know him, either. What you're doing is a clear example of WHY actors end up with anxiety at all. Gee, work hard and get famous so that nobody jerkwads can come online and call you names. Yeah, that's not anxiety-producing at all. And no, nobody needs to grow a thicker skin. YOU and people like you are the problem. You need to get manners, get a life and stop making yourselves feel big by trashing people you don't know. Why not log off and go out and make something of yourself rather than sit on your butt on social media and rip someone who never did you any harm to shreds? Last but not least: I've noticed that people like you tend to accuse others of having their own faults. Insults like yours say FAR more about your shortcomings than they do about the person you've targeted. Keep that in mind the next time you choose to egregiously insult someone.
You're working 70 hours a week and you still found time to come on and trash someone you don't know. Hmm..... You know what the sad thing is? That you can struggle with a psychological disorder and yet have gained absolutely no empathy whatsoever for someone else's pain. Wow, what a waste of a life experience.
Nocturnal Rites While a somewhat harsh way to look at the situation, I can't help but agree - albeit with a mote of uneasiness. It really does trouble me a great deal to see people that are apparently unable to empathize with those around them. It's especially confounding when those that they condemn have done absolutely nothing to deserve such jugement.
George Clooney sounds like a badass, I like how he stepped up and wanted to protect those who could not protect themselves for fear of loosing work or a livelihood. Good on Clooney.
Good thing Evans became captain America. The Captain America trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. I would go as far as to say it is my favorite superhero trilogy of time. Also, I don't think all the hate for Jared Leto's performance was justified. The only problem with it was that it wasn't very Joker-Like. It was a decent modern thug performance, and he wasn't the only person in that movie who was grossly out of character. We have already had 3 great Jokers, 2 of them live action. We don't really need another one in the DCCU, we just need to know that there was one and he did a couple of things to Batman that helped shaped him into the grizzled veteran Batfleck is.
They used the term "meltdown" pretty Damn loosely in this video. Making someone pick on you instead of everyone else isn't a meltdown, neither is being a method actor.
To be fair Jared Leto being pissed about the cut scenes from Suicide Squad is warranted once you find out what those scenes were as they added a lot to character development. I really hope the eventually release an extended version of the movie that includes those cut scenes added to the film.
Liam Leonard the cut scenes weren't added to any of the dvd versions so why are you speaking as if they were? if by you mean a deleted scene reel thats not what I'm talking about
Arkhamun Frost he only signed a contract for 6 films, the 6th being infinty war. im pretty sure he says he wanta to get into directing his own movies instead of.
A lot of people say that jared leto was a shitty joker, but i actually like that portrayal. Maybe if he had more than 8 minutes of screen time, people could have given him more of a chance at being the joker. This is putting aside his method acting. And solely focusing on his performance.
There's also the fact that the studio completely redid his role after shooting. The Harley/Joker relationship was supposed to be way more abusive and Joker was supposed to be more vicious. Apparently they reshot almost all his scenes. I'd be pissy (like he is) too. He signed on for one character and the studio made him do a different character.
After people bitched that BVS was too dark they chanced suicide squad to make it lighter. That meant removing a lot of Joker scenes. Now the critics bitch about that too.
George was right, talking shit has limits. It was a director's meltdown actually. Marlo didn't had a meltdown, he was always good at his work with cool ideas. Chris's freakout was a typical thing.
Derpanda Cakes I think i have that too. Propably thats why i can relate. Problem is that it can turn worse if you overthink of something. You can't imagine the problems it can cause... kinda funny cause it's all in the head.
What is your definition of a 'melt down'? Most of those sounded like the actor acting like a spoiled brat, and the one with Chris Evans was anxiety. None of them seemed like a real melt down from what I've been told a melt down is.
I found it a bit odd that for their number one they had...Chris Evans having anxiety and worrying he would not be able to fulfill his duties as an actor.
I think someone needs to teach ScreenRant what a meltdown is. It isn't, "Actor having a mental disorder (like anxiety) thus making them worry that they may not be able to fulfill contractual obligations. But overcoming that with therapy and being a (seemingly) courteous and great person to work with."

Evans's meltdown was more of him being a more introverted person with social anxiety. Though that may have caused meltdowns, it should be noted the cause is his anxiety. This causes him to overreact to some things when he is nervous and makes him sometimes seem too flamboyant when in fact, he is just nervous in the situation.
Clooney was more than justified id have to say, Evans I do get his anxiety a lot of people do not like to be in the lime light as many would think otherwise, but i am glad he is continuing.

Exactly! I thought the ice bucket & the worm-boy were very relevant to the role, a mad scientist The veteran star knew what he was doing. So he had his lines fed him, so what? He was totally in character. I could think of better candidates, like Shelly Duvall in The Shining or Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now, just off the top of my head
Then I guess he's just a $#&%@! This is from IMDB's page for The Score: Marlon Brando took to calling director Frank Oz "Fozzy" and "Miss Piggy" during this movie. Oz is the voice of the Fozzy Bear and Miss Piggy characters in The Muppets. Brando's hazing of Oz over his work with the Muppets got so bad that Robert De Niro was forced to direct Brando instead, with Oz giving him instructions via headset.
Yeah, Brando's wasn't a meltdown, really, as at that point in his career he was well known for being an asshat that was just all around a problem for everyone he worked with. His ego got bigger than my ass.
im so glad Evans turnt to someone for help. im sure a lot of actors would turn to the "easier option" of drugs, alcohol or worse. its not weak to ask for help. support makes everyone stronger.
Poor Evans... working for shit made for TV movie studio like Fox, can't blame him... well... now he's home with Marvel, Disney will take care of him...
I like Chris Evans. He just seems like a great guy off screen. Humble. I don't think he should be in this video since his reasons for a meltdown were personal and didn't really involve anyone.
Chris Allen well as u said and as my friend told mw who reat that comic, he is just a gangster. And Against ledger who was totaly crazy leto is maybie just c of crazy. Maybie
raco Well from my experience there are three different Jokers. Gangaster joker(Leto), anarchist joker(Heath)and random ass crazy motherfucker joker(Animated series). But that's just me.
Wow, I didn't know Clooney was that cool. And I do sympathize with Chris Evans. All that pressure and being under public scrutiny at all times can drive people crazy.
04:40 That wasnt accidentally Bale said it himself in interviev I think you can even hear it in tape .The guy was walking around all the time so he couldnt focus on shooting the scene
Jared Leto didn't have a "meltdown" on set, he just sent weird gifts to his co-stars. Also, Marlon Brando did all of that weird stuff in his movie from his own suggestions. Those aren't examples of actual meltdowns. The Three Kings and Terminator Salvation incidents are examples of TRUE meltdowns.
P Ferreira Wes Anderson wasn't that well known then so Hackman probably didn't know who he was and why he should care that this unknown guy wrote a part for him. Plus Anderson only had an "indie film" budget to work with. Hackman only got a fraction of his usual pay for doing the movie. I'm glad his agent talked him into doing it, I can't imagine anyone else in that role. Hackman was perfect.
Bee Whistler Yeah it still makes no sense. It's crazy Hackman would feel offended by a role written just for him regardless of lack of money he would get.
I had no idea Blade Trinity was like that, I think there's a shit load more to that than you're letting on though, or couldn't find out, maybe the director was really that bad and Wesley Snipes just couldn't put those differences aside. I'm very glad that Chris Evans got over his bad vibes for Captain America, there's so very few people that could play the Cap as good as he does, great stuff.
Matthew Fox (known for Party of Five and Vantage Point) went nutball and attacked a transit bus driver while filming lukewarm suspense film "Alex Cross" (w/Tyler Perry)
I know the actress who played Rea in Star Wars the force awakens had a meltdown because she got the main role and it scared her and she almost didn't do the role
Wesley Snipes got a bit exaggerated in this,he didn't have a choice about doing Blade Trinity-he was about to deal with court proceedings for tax evasion so of course he was going through some sh*t
So wait Wesley Snipes' director had some black guy stand around in a t-shirt that said garage and it's wrong that the actor's got angry and called him racist.
I swear to god if I hear Jared Leto's name in another fucking countdown mentioning his portrayal of the joker I'm going to have a meltdown- let it go already
Hard to believe that Lily Tomlin wasn't mentioned even though her yelling and screaming like a lunatic at the director of I Heart Huckabees was captured on video and uploaded to TH-cam.
oohh my gawds, quit talking about Leto's joker! it sucked, even if it had more scenes in the film it would still suck, and his attempt at "staying in character" that he did with the gifts was freaking lame.
Are there two different voices for this channel? Voice for this channel is WAY better than the one for other video uploaded today. Also that other video sucked and I like this guy way better
This is why Chris Evans is the perfect Captian America. Even his meltdown is about him being humble.
I was going to post something similar but you beat me to it.
Marvel has so much winning..
Sir Derpington wait till he announces himself as hydra
too soon
Evans as cap has been a blessing to the world. Thank you therapist
Has he done anything for the world except taking your money out of your wallet ignorant fvk
lol wonder what it feels like to be as stupid as you
You think calling me stupid will make you smarter?
Technically, that's the distributor's job.
Never thought the very Chris Evans would have a meltdown but I can't blame him! He's just human like the rest of us.
Char Bucket Like I would become a actress but knowing your being stalked on the internet 24/7 would be creepy. But it's something they sacrifice to do what they love.
Oh god, get over Leto's "method acting" stunt already.
SoFre$h I don't think screen rant has gone through a single video without mentioning him
SoFre$h yeah
And this thing wasn't a breakdown at all
He purposely did it to freak them out
Different thing
if thats what he try to do to keep up with ledger, he really needs to step up his game
I'm just tired of hearing how his "method acting" makes him a good actor...
IMO, "method" actors are making up for their inability to act. If you have to "become" the character, even off-camera, you're no longer acting, are you?
In Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
That little Shoe character had a pretty graphic meltdown onscreen.
like bob peck once said "Clever girl"
I'm sure there are many many MANY people who can sympathize with Chris Evans.
I would just offer the poor guy a sympathetic hug and let him know that there are people who do sincerely understand his anxiety. I'm one of those people who gets freaked out by being the center of attention/in the spotlight, so I well understand how he feels at times.

I think the amount of money he now receives for his movies probably helped with enjoying his work haha.
Stan_The_Man lol, probably true, money is pretty solid motivation
Spidey SS not bucky but nigga falcon
Awww! Now I just want to give Chris Evans a big hug, feed him cookies and tell him he's pretty. lol. That always works for me. xD
You would love that, dont you?
Owen Plando who wouldn't
Never was a fan of George Clooney, but if this is true he has my respect.
what I always saw him as a big Hollywood type but that's actually really cool if he did that
He's a solid dude.
Hearing about Chris Evans broke my heart. Just wanna give him a hug and tell him to stay strong tbh.
Dexter White Don't downplay anxiety. Have some compassion for a fellow human being, man.
....aaaaaaaand people wonder why social anxiety is rampant.
Speaking of sick children, you bozo, Evans is a huge charity supporter and he's done amazing things for a children's cancer center that's helped a family member of mine, so YEAH, I think he's probably got more sympathy for sick kids than YOU clearly do.

of course Dexter White would know, because of all the movies he's been involved in.*Nobody cleans studio toilets like Dexter White*
George Clooney sounds like a badass, I like how he stepped up and wanted to protect those who could not protect themselves for fear of loosing work or a livelihood. Good on Clooney.

Gundalf this 1 player keeps kicking my ass
I heard TheLegend27 once defeated an entire army with a single blow
You are correct
TheLegend 27 ha ha

Liam Leonard they still did not add all of the scenes.
Liam Leonard
the cut scenes weren't added to any of the dvd versions so why are you speaking as if they were? if by you mean a deleted scene reel thats not what I'm talking about
Glenn A the extended cut had a couple extended scenes
Liam Leonard
but it didn't have any of the deleted scenes that Leto was pissed about.
Steve need to stop playing because I don't wanna see anybody else play Captain America.
Unless he recently got a new deal, the original movie deal he had ends with Infinity War
Arkhamun Frost he only signed a contract for 6 films, the 6th being infinty war. im pretty sure he says he wanta to get into directing his own movies instead of.
Chloe Wilson *sigh* nothing good can ever last
Arkhamun Frost no unfortunately. But once he finishes, i will constantly be reading and watching all things captain america 😁
Since they are setting up Steve to become Nomad in Infinity War, it looks like we may get Bucky or Sam as the new Captain America like the comics.
A lot of people say that jared leto was a shitty joker, but i actually like that portrayal. Maybe if he had more than 8 minutes of screen time, people could have given him more of a chance at being the joker. This is putting aside his method acting. And solely focusing on his performance.
I went in hating everything about him, after watching the movie I'm ok with him, he's not the best but I'd watch a movie with him as the main villain.
There's also the fact that the studio completely redid his role after shooting. The Harley/Joker relationship was supposed to be way more abusive and Joker was supposed to be more vicious. Chris's freakout was a typical thing.
I agree with your Clooney comment, George was just calling the director out, probably tired of seeing his costars bullied
Sabrina He's the man indeed.
Johan Dale
Yeah I'm pretty sure Chris has social anxiety/anxiety
Derpanda Cakes I think i have that too. Propably thats why i can relate. Problem is that it can turn worse if you overthink of something. You can't imagine the problems it can cause... kinda funny cause it's all in the head.

KaijinSCendre complete nonsense
kinda knew jared leto had to be on here
An Addict With A Pen and Bale tbh
An Addict With A Pen wow my frens are everywhere

I think someone needs to teach ScreenRant what a meltdown is. There we go. Screen rant talks about Jared Leto Joker
I feel bad for Evans, I I was signed to a major box office movie I would panic too
last time I was this early, arsenal were 1st😂😂
😂😂
Xboxer04 😂😂👌
Xboxer04 😂😂😂😂
can people even be that early
william kinlan Yeh couple months ago 😂😂
You know, one person that has never had a meltdown is thelegend27
Brotherhood of steel knight _ lmao
I like your list mate it's good
Hey screen rant nice video again keep up the great work
TrueGaming99 stfu liar
that lindsy lohan one though that mustn't have been a good filming experience
I don't see where the meltdown was with Jared leto
TheRealCSD well he was in character not making bizarre demands
Poor Chris! He does such an amazing job, it must be SO hard. But we all love him so much, I hope he knows that 💕
I have become obsessed with this channel
As far as Leto goes. It's one thing to stay in character as still talking like the character and having people refer to you as the Joker but that doesn't mean you need to be an asshole to other people to remain in character.
Jared being an asshole to other people to remain in character, is pretty method and accurate, since his character is one of the biggest assholes in comicbook history.
I heard Leto put a single skitlle in a bowl of m&ms
OH MY GOODNESS IS HE THE SON OF SATAN??
yo that is some good clean pranking
I love your videos bro keep it going 😜👍💯
Leto might have dedicated himself to method acting the Joker. Does not change the fact it was a garbage portrayal of the Joker.
And your opinion doesn't make it a fact. It was like every other take on joker. Some liked it, some hated it, some loved it, etc.
Marlon Brando didn't really have a meltdown
Exactly! I thought the ice bucket & the worm-boy were very relevant to the role, a mad scientist The veteran star knew what he was doing. So he had his lines fed him, so what? He was totally in character. I could think of better candidates, like Shelly Duvall in The Shining or Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now, just off the top of my head
poor girl never really recovered which is why she's not as famous
Then I guess he's just a $#&%@! This is from IMDB's page for The Score: Marlon Brando took to calling director Frank Oz "Fozzy" and "Miss Piggy" during this movie. Oz is the voice of the Fozzy Bear and Miss Piggy characters in The Muppets. Brando's hazing of Oz over his work with the Muppets got so bad that Robert De Niro was forced to direct Brando instead, with Oz giving him instructions via headset.
not a meltdown but massive ego
Yeah, Brando's wasn't a meltdown, really, as at that point in his career he was well known for being an asshat that was just all around a problem for everyone he worked with. His ego got bigger than my ass.
If you're reading this, I hope you have a good day ;)
Wyd Anakin thank you :)
im so glad Evans turnt to someone for help. im sure a lot of actors would turn to the "easier option" of drugs, alcohol or worse.
its not weak to ask for help.
support makes everyone stronger.
directors should probaqbly not be "exposing"(sexually harassing) their stars.... kinda bad form.
Poor Evans... working for shit made for TV movie studio like Fox, can't blame him... well... now he's home with Marvel, Disney will take care of him...
nice new list
lol, who else skipped the whole video to Chris Evans?
Wait so how is the last one, a "meltdown"? He just had a lot of pressure.
I feel like Ian McKellan's breakdown on the set of the Hobbit should've been mentioned.
Cris Evens doesn't seem like he had a meltdown. And they didn't mention anything about it happening on set.
It didn't. This article is extremely misleading.
this channel really loves superheroes
Omg, they're still bringing up Leto?? LET IT GO ALREADY GODDAMMIT.
Angellus Black true
Out of all of them it seems like chris Evans was the only sensible one to actually talk to someone about his emotional stress
1:08 You can't see California without his eyes.
I like your list.
I like Chris Evans. He just seems like a great guy off screen. Humble. I don't think he should be in this video since his reasons for a meltdown were personal and didn't really involve anyone.
Technically Leto didn't have a meltdown.
Not on set
You're Right. People Blinked During The Video.
umm read the tile meltdowns. love it just love it.
The Joker is so awesome that he reaches out into the real world to drive people insane!!!
Evans had anxiety attacks leading up to filming but I don't believe he ever had one on set
Well Leto's joker was not crazy. Ledger was crazy. Leto was weird gangster
That's kinda what the clown is. In some versions is just an anarchist, in some he is just nuts, in some he is a gangster etc
Chris Allen i know. I am just saying he was not crazy.
raco He was pretty crazy.
Aw, Chris, you should've come talked to me, baby XD
whats even better about Chris is no that the contract is about up he is freaking because he loves the role so much
Woah! Never been this early!
Wow, I didn't know Clooney was that cool. And I do sympathize with Chris Evans. All that pressure and being under public scrutiny at all times can drive people crazy.
cool vid but expected a bit more vids of the actors freaking out a lil haha
should have had matt damon on there. when he flipped out on that guy acting durring a commercial for a charity
Im supposed to be playing game of war but this one person keeps kicking my ass
nice vid
Bruno Griffin thank u
love it
I heard something about Chevy Chase on the set of Vacation.
04:40 That wasnt accidentally Bale said it himself in interviev I think you can even hear it in tape .The guy was walking around all the time so he couldnt focus on shooting the scene
Aw I wanna give Chris a hug 😭
Jared Leto didn't have a "meltdown" on set, he just sent weird gifts to his co-stars. Also, Marlon Brando did all of that weird stuff in his movie from his own suggestions. Those aren't examples of actual meltdowns. The Three Kings and Terminator Salvation incidents are examples of TRUE meltdowns.
isnt the song at about 4:30 the song used in "the chaos" in dancing line?
Why would an actor hate a role that was written for them?
P Ferreira Wes Anderson wasn't that well known then so Hackman probably didn't know who he was and why he should care that this unknown guy wrote a part for him. Plus Anderson only had an "indie film" budget to work with. Hackman only got a fraction of his usual pay for doing the movie.
I'm glad his agent talked him into doing it, I can't imagine anyone else in that role. Hackman was perfect.
It's a reason but he still sounds pretty egotistical.
Bee Whistler Yeah it still makes no sense. It's crazy Hackman would feel offended by a role written just for him regardless of lack of money he would get.
P Ferreira idk
one famous actor you forgot is Robin Williams
All that Method Acting and Suicide Squad still came out bad
I had no idea Blade Trinity was like that, I think there's a shit load more to that than you're letting on though, or couldn't find out, maybe the director was really that bad and Wesley Snipes just couldn't put those differences aside.
I'm very glad that Chris Evans got over his bad vibes for Captain America, there's so very few people that could play the Cap as good as he does, great stuff.
I knew I liked George Clooney. Telling the director to pick on him and not everyone else. That's called having balls
Matthew Fox (known for Party of Five and Vantage Point) went nutball and attacked a transit bus driver while filming lukewarm suspense film "Alex Cross" (w/Tyler Perry)
poor chris evans. someone as great as him shouldnt be plagued with anxiety :C
Anyone had the face of the confused Black guy meme when Barlon Mondo "meltdown" wasn't really a meltdown
More like the last years (decades?) of his life were a melt down.
Who's that one player who keeps on kicking my ass?
Niall_Swfc the legend 26
Icyz-z duskmink
Niall_Swfc is the Legend_27
its*
I know it's called a joke
Oh yeah the I'm Still Here thing was a complete joke, kind of like a Borat thing.
Wait... what kind of meltdown did Chris Evans have?
So wait Wesley Snipes' director had some black guy stand around in a t-shirt that said garage and it's wrong that the actor's got angry and called him racist.
I swear to god if I hear Jared Leto's name in another fucking countdown mentioning his portrayal of the joker I'm going to have a meltdown- let it go already
i get butterfly in stomach from anxiety and often have to run to toilet
The George Clooney one didn't seem as much as a meltdown as it was sticking up to a bully.
Hard to believe that Lily Tomlin wasn't mentioned even though her yelling and screaming like a lunatic at the director of I Heart Huckabees was captured on video and uploaded to TH-cam.
Leiroy likes your videos.
The Gene Hackman background music is from/ used in the UK TV show Pointless
I'm in the 200 club
I'm not surprised with Chris Evans. I'm a huge fan of him don't get me wrong. But he does have an anxiety disorder so it wasn't unexpected
oohh my gawds, quit talking about Leto's joker! it sucked, even if it had more scenes in the film it would still suck, and his attempt at "staying in character" that he did with the gifts was freaking lame.
Phoenix just memed us all
Are there two different voices for this channel? Voice for this channel is WAY better than the one for other video uploaded today. Also that other video sucked and I like this guy way better
