Hi, after updating, I am unable to use pages which is a shame. Seems the one I was using won't work with Catalonia ! so I am wondering if anyone else has had this same issue and if they managed to resolve it. Also aware the the mac updates now coming to me aernt always received. BTW my mac with the new Catalonia runs slower but does work, its teaching me a whole new way to be Patient !

Hey dude , thanks a Million for this :) pls help ,, im on 5,3 - Mac mini "Core i7" 2.0 (Mid-2011/Server) … having a little glitch , on Safari the top of the screen (about 10 - 15%) goes black sometimes. Any ideas ? blocks out everything from the favourites bar up 🙈
You might be able to just use google instead or it could me something with your display

i have a macbook pro 2011 (early) i can't update to macos cataline but i used a (patcher) and it worked but when it's finished i face security problems because the system integrity protection (SIP) does not want to activate I used (csrutil enable) and it does not work. please help me because the majority of software requires activation (SIP)
In what disk will your files go if you download something in the catalina, will it be the previous one or the apfs drive?
What you didnt say is that you jave to disable SIP and after the installation you jave to enable back the SIP on a older Imac

I followed all steps and it says that the installation was successful. But after I restarted it, it shows that it’s still on the old operating system.
i did this on my mid 2010, but some of the programs crashes. is there a way to fix the crashes?

HI, How can I fix this ? SIP is enabled on this system. SIP must be disabled in order for the in-place installation to function correctly. To disable SIP, boot off your system's Recovery partition, or an OS X 10.11 or later installer drive, open Terminal, and run "csrutil disable"
System protection, your computer will be permanently disabled if you don’t know the password.

I installed os and I'll created booteble USB using Catalina patcher but put my pendrive to Mac press - alt
Their steps completed press alt to show my booteble USB i click it and show apple logo and start to loading loading complete but not going to next to page stuck it.

is it necessary to format in APFS ? because when i use that format it says for firmware update then it stop my installation

Um, sir, you can delete the files and the hard drive of catalina right after macos catalina is fully installed, am I right?
Yes, once you install Catalina and install the Patches for it, you can then wipe the installer drive that you created for it.

so if im gonna do this to macbook can i wipe the main hardrive to aps when i do the install and not worry about it or gonna need a usb gonna be the option i need
When you install macOS Catalina onto the Internal Hard Drive, you can chose to erase it as APFS if you would like to start afresh and erase all of the previous data on the Hard Drive. If you decide to wipe the Drive, then you will have to create a bootable installer (I recommend using a USB for this but you can use a spare blank external Hard Drive if you would like). However, if you decide to install it like an update process (as shown in the video), you will not need to use a USB for the installation. To use this method, just click "install to this machine" at the Installation Method screen. This does mean that you won't be able to erase your Hard Drive as APFS though.

How many gb should the catalina hard drive have?
I would recommend a minimum of 100GB for the Catalina Partition, as any smaller than that will fill up really quickly, even with just the bare minimum essential apps. Although, ideally, I would suggest anywhere from 200GB and larger if you plan to use it as your main machine.
Sadly the 'Music' app crashes (known bug) which means you lose all iTunes functionality...what a shame.
