- We all knew it was coming...doesn't make it any less icky 😂 But we ALSO got a dark and stormy night with Sir Criston, and who could complain about that? Rhaenyra's got her fire back, we are getting deep into Act II of this show, and more invested with each passing episode! The only thing we didn't get enough of in this episode was dragons...and we all know there's no such thing as too much of the dragons. Maybe next week! See you guys then! ❤️Jacqui

There's kingguards who broke the vow of celibacy, they cut his ball and send him to the wall. For Cole the punishment would be more severe, he would lose his head that for sure. And they going after his family, make sure Cole lineage erased from history book....so yeah, Rhaenyra bring a lot of troubles for Ser Cole 😬
I think they only do that if they father children on high born ladies. There are kings guard who go to pleasure dens and father children on common born women and they overlook it. He definitely would his head on a spike for deflowering Rhaenyra though. She is not only a Princess but also the heir.
Tbf, screw Cole. Him and his treason committing ass deserve what happens to him.
The disgraced Kingsguard is talked about in the book Fire and Blood. Ser Lucamor Strong (those Strongs can’t seem to stay out of trouble 😂) who is better known as Ser Lucamor the Lusty. Who had atleast two secret families until he go busted.
I'm still undecided whether Damon stops because he cares for her and decides he doesn't want to go through with it or because she takes control and the loss of control affects his previously demonstrated performance issues.

I think if Daemon knew Otto's little birds were watching, it was a huge gamble for him knowing his brother banished him again after how many days? Daemon found a way to get in trouble after 4 years being gone and it only took a day, perhaps? 🤣 But he did get Otto fired by letting the crowd see who they were.
A commenter said Daemon tried to frame Rhaenyra so he can marry her knowing since she's already deflowered, no man would take her. Perhaps. Another is he got limp again (show runners said this) but also because he was feeling guilty. He cares about Rhaenyra and doesn't want to use her as a pawn. The other being Daemon wanted to get back at Viserys.
Perhaps it's all of the above? Why can't it be all of them? Whatever you think it is, he got Otto fired. Whether that was intentional or not, Otto still got fired. No way Viserys is going to choose Otto over Rhaenyra even if he believes in what Otto said more. Perception matters. Not truth. If Rhaenyra goes down, her father goes down.
So Otto became the fall guy whether Daemon broke Rhaenyra's virginity or not and whether Otto was just doing his job. Again, what Daemon proved was third-party accounts aren't reliable especially if they're biased and working for certain people. For all we know, Daemon saying "heir for a day" was taken out of context. We actually never heard him say that in the show.
I don't really buy the idea that Daemon tried seducing Rhaenyra to get back at Viserys. The sweetest moment we've seen was Viserys and Daemon share a hug. If Daemon was doing this out of spite towards his brother, then why make a big deal he returned? Why not sneak back to KL and do this? He came back wanting this to be a celebration. This ruins their brotherly love moment.
I know the show runners are saying this but I believe Daemon wanted to get back at Otto. If it was Viserys he was trying to get back at, then maybe the reason he went limp was because he got back with his brother on good terms and didn't realize how great it felt hugging him? He realized he cares too much for Viserys and Rhaenyra and didn't really want to spite Viserys once he felt that guilt.
@@theshamelist Yes, the directors mention that his impotence in the scene is due to the fact that he knows using her like that isn't right and also because of her being excited and taking control as well.
Actually the reason Daemon stopped was because of his erectile dysfunction.

I took the moon tea scene to mean that Viserys was saying, hey, even if you did do it, I’m still going to be on your side and protect you

Of course it won't work out. He's a knight of the king's guard. He took an oath to forfeit titles and inheritance and to not take a wife or father children, basically a vow of abstinence. Now there are kings guard who father bastard children on common born and working girls. It's generally frowned on but not a big issue. However he slept with the Princess. He " sullied " her and now she isn't a virgin therefore decreasing her value as a political bargaining chip. He absolutely would be sentenced to death if the king finds out. He did have a choice. He had many chances to stop but he gave in. He was hesitant yes, but he's been carrying a torch for her as well and gave in to his feelings for her. There have been members of the king's guard who have turned down propositions from royal members before because they would never break their oat and disgrace themselves. Even if it meant making a powerful enemy in the process.

@@Freya1412 And yet, had the situation been reversed and Cole been a noble and Rhaenyra common, people would scream to high heaven about the power imbalance. It's hypocrisy.
I actually really disagree that Daemon is manipulative. I think his entire personality can be summed up with him being an impulsive messy bitch and him loving his family.
Literally every single thing he has done in the show can be traced back to one or the other (or both) of those two traits. Even the stuff that took planning, like taking the dragon egg can be traced to him wanting to speak to his brother, it's the first thing he asks when Otto shows up for it. Like, I want my brother to come to Dragonstone so I can ask him to come home, lets steal a dragon egg.
And people don't realize(partly because the show is obfuscating it atm) that marrying Rhaenyra will not give anyone Kingship. because it's a feudal state dependant on oaths of fealty, the best any spouse of Rhaenyra's would have is the type of power Alicent has, unless they were granted more by Rhaenyra. So Daemon wanting to marry her is actually a big admittance that he doesn't actually care about being King. He would gain nothing he does not already have as Prince, other than Rhaenyra herself. The only person who doesn't treat him like a ticking time bomb.

I just want to say in relation of Otto, Rhaenyra and Daemon, it’s good to keep in mind what GRRM said. Nobody in this book is purely good or purely bad.
I think it genuinely hurt Otto to report about Rhaenyra in the brothel, he still cares about Vyseris. But he is also obviously a calculating dick who used her daughter to become part of the royal family.
The linguist did some of the languages for Star Wars as well.
Daemon didn't go through with it because he couldn't. Physically. He couldn't get hard. That's why he was so frustrated. And that makes two such instances of ED for him in only four episodes. It must be setting the table for something later in the season.

I don't think it's proof necessarily that the King does not believe her. I see it as, at this point, he doesn't care what the truth is, or who is lying. He's just not going to take any chances either way.

Deamon is actually not a bad guy and knew Otto would have spies around so he did it more to get Otto to tell the king so that the king would basically fire Otto, deamon loves his family,and its pretty obvious from the trailers that rhaenyra gets with deamon, I'm waiting for everyones reaction to when the dance starts and who is on who's side I think you'll be surprised
im so glad Alicent is still defending and protecting Rhaenyra! she seems to truly love her and is trying to do whats best for her. And Rhaenyra is back to being ok with Alicent

Until this show, we couldn't find much that neither of us had seen, and we got a lot of comments on our previous videos that people enjoyed the humor of one of us knowing and the other not. We do reverse sometimes. We found when we started that I had seen more TV, and he had seen more movies, so that kind of balances who gets to be the one in the know. And we have a few movies coming up where we both go in blind, so we'll see how they go! Glad you're enjoying either way! ❤️Jacqui
In Game of Thrones we saw incest of cersei and jaimes and that is very wrong and not because they are brothers because in the Targaryen family there is a lot of that and it is normal in the family for example Daemon's countries is viserys they are brothers and they are tired and viserys he is married to his cousin who is a mother and Rhaenyra so it is super normal the incest more than Cersei is Jaimes there yes and wrong Because they are not Targaryen if it was Targaryen then it's ok they can be together but they are not Targaryen that's why na series they hide it because they know it's wrong what they are doing that is incest they can't but if they were targaryen then no one is bothering them but they aren't targaryen so they can't be related it's only targaryen who can to incest because it is the Targaryen family custom to incest
The Daemon likes Rhaenyra the daemon wanted to show Rhaenyra things because Rhaenyra doesn't know anything outside the kingdom the daemon's plan I believe the daemon wanted people to see them together and they say the princess went into a brothel with her uncle so much as soon as the daemon took off rhaenyra's hood and hat before entering the brothel but the daemon gives up and walks away too bad because he left her alone and rhaenyra and christian's relationship was also wrong because christian he is a knight and he soiled his white robe, remembering that Christian is older than Daemon, so age doesn't matter in this universe, just like incest doesn't matter because that's normal in the Targaryen family. I'm already used to it because I read George Martin's books and in the stories he tells about the Targaryen family, they all have incest. Incest is the most normal thing in this universe
I didn't like the way Alicent talked to Rhaenyra if she wants help friend no and just like you approach a friend Alicent is jealous of her Rhaenyra because Rhaenyra slept with whoever she wanted, she doesn't have to sleep with an old man, you'll understand yet more later Alicent is jealous of Rhaenyra's life in the book shows more
See the difference in the scenes when the daemon talks to Rhaenyra talking even though she is married he can feel pleasure with whoever she wants in the Alicent scene and viserys Alicent is not feeling pleasure already in the Rhaenyra scene and Daemon Rhaenyra is feeling pleasure even if it was the kiss but she is enjoying it more after she sleeps with Christian and she feels pleasure there you can see
In the throne scene, when the daemon says that viserys can do what he wants, because he is the king, he rules him and the law, he is a Targaryen, this is true, as it is also true when viserys tells Alicent that the daemon and rhaenyra are dragons are restless that's true too
the Prophecy on the Dagger may have FAILED from the start because Aegon I may not have been the father of his wives children. His line ended with him.
There's nothing to suggest Aegon I wasn't the father of Aenys I. The prophecy is alive and well, I have a pretty good idea where GRRM is going with it.

The TV writers completely whitewashed Alicent. She's not this likeable. I figure they needed to make Alicent more likeable to keep viewers evenly divided between her and Rhaenyra.
and thats a problem because?
the book was badly written on this front. alicent was a 1 dimensional evil stepmother. that made alot of people be anti-green. in game of thrones, the lines are pretty clearly divided between a good house vs bad houses. the Dance should be more complex than that. and its not "whitewashing" to give a villain more layers and depth.
they could be making her start out good and as the years get closer to the dance of the dragons she gets more evil
Rhaenyra is eaten by her half-brother's dragon.
