When Bernard first enters the "hidden lab" (06:27 here), in the actual show, Bernard enters a basement room and in the corner is a shadowy cowboy from the first generation of hosts. That cowboy is (Yul Brynner) the gunslinger in the original 1973 Westworld.
Now I understand that I've seen this recap 4 years ago before watching season 1 and season 1 was a dream I dreamt 1 yr before that. And after watching it I immediately went forward in time to get ready for season 2 but hen I realise i have to watch the recap. Then the loop continues.....
so Elsie was talking to Bernard over the phone about what was happening and she gets grabbed from behind right after she hangs up. but its Bernard who grabs her.. am i remembering it wrong? or does he have teleportation powers???
this show is so confusing that i was quite lost after i watching season 1 and season 2. So before watching season 3 i went back watched season 1 recap, season 2 recap, then watched season 1 and season 2 again, then watched season 1 and season 2 recap again. Now i think im gonna start season 3.
I'm kinda sad not being able to fully understand WW S01 without this recap! Maybe my brain just fell apart after watching easy no-brainers like The Walking Dead..
What a great idea & I dare say this isn't too far away. If you think about it, the way 'some people' act in South East Asia (such as Thailand & Bali) WestWorld already exists.
You said William was the investor that was able to keep the park going after Dolores killed Arnold. But the park was already established and running long before William was in any position of power or wealth.
the reason you guys all still confused is because the recap has so many incorrect summaries.... sigh... thats why she says confusion, because she doesnt get so many of the points. i recommend watching other explanations of season 1, it will be easier to understand
In s1e10, am i the only one that thinks that there are 2 Doloreses? They are talking to each other, and after that dolores goes and kills Ford but has a dress and isnt stabed, and until that is in pants and shirt and stabbed
I know you asked forever ago but in case you never found an answer: in season 1 the humans can be shot, but it’s more like getting hit with a paintball gun than anything fatal. The only way guns can kill humans is if the gun itself is modified to register everyone as a host, which Ford programs before Delores shoots him in the finale. Or if they are given a regular gun from outside of the park, like the one Delores uses to kill Arnold before the park opens.
Ali Sheikh Hmm I started season 2 and saw the 'official' recap they have at the beginning of the season as well. I feel some of the things this recap says there are conclusive answers to in season 1 were only really hinted at/suggested in the first season. Haven't rewatched s1 so that's a hunch from starting s02. Either that or a) I missed an episode b) watched it so long ago I completely forgot some BIG details. c) some of season 1 went waaay over my head
i guess you mean the character "lee" - the story editor. based on the calibre of other actors on the show, i doubt they would have an actual bad actor in the cast.
A Nice Chianti First off, the management and the guests aren't AI. Secondly, the show largely revolves around the idea on how real the hosts are or aren't. One of the creators did suicide because he believed the hosts are too human to experience the horrors of the park. I see them as human enough to root for them at least when they're not in their extra robotlike states. Also consider that some of them are developing into nearly humans at this point seemingly with consciousness, free will etc. If so, they're pretty much the same.
Joseph Maimon arnold explained it on episode 9...the road to consciousness starts with "memory" then "improvising" and at firet he thought it was steps on a pyramid but later on discovers that's the process is not linear but rather a loop in a form of a maze and when you get to the center of it (the robots) would gain consciousness
The solution to solving the maze is actually the hosts ("the robots") gaining consciousness, that's the center of the maze, a.k.a. the top of the pyramid. That's the reason why Dolores and everyone else keeps telling the Man in Black that the maze is not for you.
Don't waste your time watching this....it was terribly fast and missed out so many things... Watch alt shift X's vidoe. I think they did a faaar better job
Sooooo,, I watched a short recap (not this one) and was still confused, so I watched the first 3 episodes of the series only to realize I didn't have the patience to watch it again. I watched this recap and some of these facts are wrong because I watched some of the earlier episodes and I vividly remember some of these facts to be wrong and out of order. In short, this recap is awful and that why y'all are confused LOL
I don’t think even the writers of this story understand what they’re doing .. a totally messed up tv series .. only the nudity makes the people watch this show
I got here for Anthony Hopkins Thandie Newton And Ed harris 3 real good actors that on any science fiction movie never lay me down now they got Hopkins out on the end of this season 1 Bad idea real Bad idea the writers I got no idea who this people are look like tv soap opera all my children like BS the basic idea is great but if they fack up the writing some of the actors need to really go they remove hopkins this is a bad flag look like the idea is to recycle actors all the time not good this type of writing need to have a anchor for the viewer and that is the actors if this become a cowboy movie they won't make it true the 2 season all ready the park part is the less interest the androids caracter and the idea of scape is real good they need to cut the wambulance BS to much emotional whit no contest
You probably shouldn't watch WW if your IQ is lower than 135. Its really not that hard to understand. I enjoy and understand WW. Thank you HBO ! TWD is one of the stupidest show on TV I can't understand how Brainless it is. No wonder its popular in America.
You say that you shouldn't watch it unless you have above average intelligence, but then you say "it's really not that hard to understand". So... Why do you have to have an IQ of 135? You're just contradicting yourself.
so Will is actually the man in black trapped in the park for 35 years? And he can be killed by Teddy? Aren't they just guests (humans) in the park? I don't understand this AT ALL. So confusing
And now that I watched the recap, I think I'm ready to watch season 1 again haha ... confusion..confusion
TRUE LMAOOOO
Lmao facts
Im not afraid to admit it...I still don't totally get it.
J M EVEN NOW I A BIT LOST! 😭😤😭
Thank you! Same here
I understood nothing when i started season 2 this show is just so, enigma.
watch the video by alt shift x. its also 15 minutes but covers everything and will blow your mind
SAME.
i was about to watch season 2 after a long time , so i watched this recap Now Im going to rewatch season 1
😭 this recap confused me lol
Exactly my thinking aha
When Bernard first enters the "hidden lab" (06:27 here), in the actual show, Bernard enters a basement room and in the corner is a shadowy cowboy from the first generation of hosts. That cowboy is (Yul Brynner) the gunslinger in the original 1973 Westworld.
As I said after almost every episode of season 1......poor Teddy.
i am confushun
One of the best Recaps I've ever seen, thanks for the good work!
great recap, I needed that
I love ur Voice (and accent).
It reminds me of *Sansa Stark*
BTW, I think the park with the logo (SW) stands for (Samurai World).
I took it was sarcasm because of how obvious it was. But of course, I may be wrong.
SA3D so she is not Sansa?
It was sarcasm, it very obviously stands for Samurai World.
SA3D fuck that stark bitch
Best recap. Thank you, Sansa
Now I understand that I've seen this recap 4 years ago before watching season 1 and season 1 was a dream I dreamt 1 yr before that. And after watching it I immediately went forward in time to get ready for season 2 but hen I realise i have to watch the recap. Then the loop continues.....

"Sayze"
I thought I was imagining hearing that
northern england innit
I like this show, but it could use more twists and turns.
Kube Dog Bruh did you watch Season 1?
Ohh yeah. Write an entire season haha
yea, i am only 86% confused
Great review for an incredible show
I started this show yesterday. I finished season 1 today.. I'm going to be so sad when its all over. Where am I? When am i? Is this.... now?
What a great video!! Thank you! This is exactly what I needed before watching season 2!
I just noticed that Logan’s pin looks just like Ned’s “The Hand of the King” pin in Game of Thrones!
HBO's brooch game is always on point.
Don't you know, the big reveal in the end is going to be that Westeros is a park inside of WestWorld.
Even with that recap, I'm still friggin confused.
how did bernard receive the phone call from his assistant but then also have flashback of killing her?
Yeah I don't see how that is possible either
Time lapse between the scenes.
Great recap, fantastic, and love the humor.
Great recap, thank you!
THANK YOU! I literally forgot everything
this show is so confusing that i was quite lost after i watching season 1 and season 2. So before watching season 3 i went back watched season 1 recap, season 2 recap, then watched season 1 and season 2 again, then watched season 1 and season 2 recap again. Now i think im gonna start season 3.
1:10 Good to see Bret Farve finding work after the NFL.
aaron rodgers is in season 3.
I was wondering if only first generation robots are able to remember things? This quality is reveries. Right?
I'm kinda sad not being able to fully understand WW S01 without this recap! Maybe my brain just fell apart after watching easy no-brainers like The Walking Dead..
Easy no brainers? If you think this show is any "deeper" than TWD then you didn't have a brain to begin with
@@lilsk5229 i think the opposite holds true. Imagine thinking the walking dead has any deep meaning...
SW = Samurai World. that would be my guess.
Tara Vanflower or sensei
I was gonna guess South World for SW because WW is West World but your guess makes more sense seeing as they show all those Samurai
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Wrong. Shogun World
yeah, i said it was a guess.
I feel like this and every Westworld season would have been significantly better if they were told in linear time.
how does the bullets of hosts work on e.g. ford? or the other real humans
What a great idea & I dare say this isn't too far away. If you think about it, the way 'some people' act in South East Asia (such as Thailand & Bali) WestWorld already exists.
Thanks! This is really helpful.
You said William was the investor that was able to keep the park going after Dolores killed Arnold. But the park was already established and running long before William was in any position of power or wealth.
yeah might be a mishap in writing
the reason you guys all still confused is because the recap has so many incorrect summaries.... sigh... thats why she says confusion, because she doesnt get so many of the points. i recommend watching other explanations of season 1, it will be easier to understand
On S2 E3, have to get back to this, cos I do ‘t remember much. Sigh...
Thanks needed that recap !
12:25 That'd be "Shogun World". Think.
Great recap! Did you do a recap for season 2?
I feel so much better now after reading the comments of a lot of people more confused than me
Holy crap. I thought I remembered season 1. But now I'm just plain confused. I don't follow anything anymore haha
11:20 So didn't Teddy kill the MIB right there? Did he just wound him? I forget
Wounded. If i didn't remember wrongly, He didn't die until season 2 or 3.
Thanks
That's what you call 'streamlining'? You just summarized what was seen on screen.
Thank you for making this more complicating 🥴
Are you going to recap season 2?
Thank you.
I needed this I forgot everything
Can someone explain what's with the reveries update and it's significance in the show I don't get it
The reveries where an update to give no human qualities, subtle body language but it instead opened the door to them becoming sentient.
ohhh!! My head hurts.....
Is it open to interpretation?
Season 2??
The screen goes black but I still listened
Ignore it was my phone
Awesome Thanks
glad i watched this and not the whole season
LOL I'll be back after watching season 2 so you can explain it too me.
Great recap thanks. BTW "Says" is pronounced "sez"
Yeah... I thought that as well, very strange that a native English speaker uses that pronunciation.
Cringed everytime I heard it lol
America and England pronounces words differently.
In s1e10, am i the only one that thinks that there are 2 Doloreses? They are talking to each other, and after that dolores goes and kills Ford but has a dress and isnt stabed, and until that is in pants and shirt and stabbed
lavorboj two timelines
How was Teddy able to shoot Man in black? I thought he couldn’t be shot.
I know you asked forever ago but in case you never found an answer: in season 1 the humans can be shot, but it’s more like getting hit with a paintball gun than anything fatal. @@etherd.859 thanks!
Lol I understand more about the show now then when I actually watched it loool
Same here! Getting ready for season two watching this, and feel like I either missed an episode of S1 or had no idea what was going on lol
CYLop yeah defo, that's last part, something definitely went wrong I feel like I missed a whole episode towards the end.
Ali Sheikh Hmm I started season 2 and saw the 'official' recap they have at the beginning of the season as well. I feel some of the things this recap says there are conclusive answers to in season 1 were only really hinted at/suggested in the first season.

Great recap but I still dont understand everything XD
So they get you to keep watching
Fuck this show is Genius
That Sizemore guy is the most irritating character on the show. In fact, I'm not sure if he is irritating or if the actor is just crap!
i guess you mean the character "lee" - the story editor. based on the calibre of other actors on the show, i doubt they would have an actual bad actor in the cast.
He’s a fucking terrible hack of an actor. Seeing him share a scene with Hopkins was bizarre.
This show would be a LOT easier to follow if there was a more obvious clue as to what scenes are flash backs and what aren't
This is exactly the reason why this is better than most shows of similar genre.
I like Jimmi Simpson's recap better
Oh the tyranny;) gets it! Haha Extra Pete please LAPHROiG!
Good show but something's missing.. I don't feel attached to any of the characters probably because there ai
A Nice Chianti First off, the management and the guests aren't AI. Secondly, the show largely revolves around the idea on how real the hosts are or aren't. One of the creators did suicide because he believed the hosts are too human to experience the horrors of the park. Wasn’t THAT hard to understand, not sure why everyone’s saying they desperately needed a recap
Look at Einstein over here
Didn’t really explain the points of the maze or conscience
Joseph Maimon arnold explained it on episode 9...the road to consciousness starts with "memory" then "improvising" and at firet he thought it was steps on a pyramid but later on discovers that's the process is not linear but rather a loop in a form of a maze and when you get to the center of it (the robots) would gain consciousness

That's the reason why Dolores and everyone else keeps telling the Man in Black that the maze is not for you.
This show should be simpler, it!'s too many story lines. This is like the jurassic park but with robots and confusing plots.
This series should have ended in the 1st season. It was very good, after that it was terrible, just went downhill... Too many plotholes.
you sound like sara pascoe
speed 1,25 was perfect
The end of this review has just made matters worse. More confused, in fact I don't think anyone understands what's going on
SW Shogun World
Pourquoi je trouve pas de récap comme ça en français ???
Andy R why do you comment in French on an English video...?
Why not ?
Andy R, ce serait encore plus déroutant en français
Sara Pascoe
I started watching because of Anthony Hopkins...then kept watching because of Mauve walking around naked!
Sw-south world
It’s “says”’ ... not “says”
you do realize that billion of people speak english around the world, with as man accents as there are countries
Don't waste your time watching this....it was terribly fast and missed out so many things... Watch alt shift X's vidoe. I think they did a faaar better job
This series should have ended in the 1st season. It was very good, after that it was terrible, just went downhill... Too many plotholes.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
SW? clearly SOUTHWORLD
you explanation way more complicated than the series.
this explains nothing
this is incorrect. the "ultimate" recap would be actually watching the 10 episodes that made up the 1st season.
this is incorrect. the word recap implies summary. Nice try, Cornjob
@@souffle01 Shut that bitch ass up

Indyiana D. No it's not I've watched the entire season, this recap is informative in a chronological order of episodes.
Can u give examples of these wrong facts you mention?
I don’t think even the writers of this story understand what they’re doing .. a totally messed up tv series .. only the nudity makes the people watch this show
not true at all,you only watch it for the nude,I watch it for the story telling, shows how much you know about shit.

Milton Lopez that comment is really hard to read. Use punctuation to better bring across what you want to say.
Have you ever heard of a period? Jesus, you complain about bad writing but utterly fail at writing a damn TH-cam comment...
This is a bad recap and its voiced by someone who has a very very heavy accent.
ekoms108: What's wrong with her British accent! What, you don't like English people?
VincentL7 she can't pronounce "says "
Maybe for her *you* have a "very very" heavy accent. This is not a thick accent by UK standards
You can turn English subtitles on if it's too hard to understand 👍
You probably shouldn't watch WW if your IQ is lower than 135.
Its really not that hard to understand. I enjoy and understand WW. Thank you HBO !
