JEEP XJ- HOW TO REMOVE THE GLUE UNDER TRIM

- While waiting on wheels, tires, rock sliders, etc. we decided to continue changing the look of Buggy by removing the plastic trim pieces. The glue proved difficult once it was out of the sun, but we used a few tricks, and it came out great!

I love the trim delete.. after peeling off my trim I let it sit in the sun for a few hours to straighten it up then posted it on eBay... 20 mins later is sold for 110 buck! Your lucky tho, i found accident damage covered under my molding. Not the case for you guys your XJ is amazing!!! I love how you guys referred to it as Dan's. Bubble! Haha I'm honored!!! I get bubble and bolts today 🤩🤩🤩. 🤣 You guys crack me up. Awesome vid again! Keep it up.

I removed the trim in 40 degree weather so most of the adhesive stayed on the car but I found some plastic razor blades that worked in conjunction with brake clean and while very sharp they did not hurt the paint. Took about an hour for each side.
Another way to do this is with a 3m stripe remover/stripe off tool. Goes fast, just don't apply a lot of pressure or you burn the clear.
We actually had one in our ‘cart’ on Amazon but just couldn’t wait 😁. Definitely would have made it easier...but we got it done and had fun doing it.
Love the xj....trim delete is scary for me....can't quite pull the trigger, myself. also, thanks for all the not-so-subtle side boobage....hey, it can't hurt
