Evanston, Illinois | 4K drone footage

Evanston is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Home to Northwestern University, it is situated 12 miles north of downtown Chicago, bordered by Chicago to the south, Skokie to the west, and Wilmette to the north. On the shore of Lake Michigan just north of Chicago, the area that is now Evanston was home to Potawatomis until the 1830s, when they were moved west to Iowa. During the 1840s the area became thinly settled by farmers from upstate New York and elsewhere in the eastern United States and by German -speaking immigrants from the region where today the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany converge.

Thank you. UiC is near downtown Chicago. South of I-290. University of Chicago is located in south side Chicago close to Museum of Science and Industry. Evanston is the northern Chicago suburb. Home of Northwestern University.

Interesting that the drone only shows the downtown area and the area of Northwestern and ignores the older less well maintained area just west of downtown around ETHS, not to mention the former industrial area West of Dodge Ave, nor Evanstons high crime area South of Main Street, North of Howard, between Ridge and Chicago Ave.

Well. Interesting point:) I will plan to cover more in the spring/summer months but those high crime areas are a little bit tricky. Had some questions about specific areas and times and I didn't feel comfortable about it. If you know what I mean.

@@rickzepeda4403 This varies but most of the footage is around 100-200 ft I would say. Evanston doesn't have really high buildings so there is maybe few shots at 400ft.
