Love the channel so far, and the car of course! If you dont mind me asking, what did you buy the car for/what did the setup cost you? I am moving to minnesota this next summer for school and I have a bolt on (minus headers) and tune is350 that I will be bringing it with. Not sure if it's an ideal car, if I do get something else I am thinking the exact same gen as your tdi.
Munder Difflin-Your channel name is badass lol. All together I have about $14,000 invested into it including the purchase price. I paid $9,000 for the car. The full straight pipe and tune together cost about $2,200 but there are much cheaper options. I went with the highest quality and largest size pipe for a deeper tone. I have a 2.5” lift with 225/70r15 Cooper AT3 4s tires, the lift spacers were $130 and the wheels/tires were about $1,000 all together since I also needed a full size spare.
Munder Difflin-And about your is350, it just depends wether it’s rwd, fwd or awd. If it’s rear only then yes I would highly suggest getting something else that’s FWD or AWD. So far my Jetta has been a freaking tank in all weather conditions. Also you can get practically the same car as mine in AWD if you decide to go with Audi, it’s simply a slightly different body style and different badges with an AWD chassis rather than FWD only like VW.
@@Realtreecamo98 thanks!! 😂 who is your favorite in the show? That isnt bad at all. Only $9,000 for the car? That's awesome. It's a 2013? Congrats on that deal!! Tha thg s a good bit, but I'm sure the car is way better with those performance mods. Interesting, why a lift? Never even thought of such a thing for a jetta!! It is rwd. Apparently they are decent in the snow, but I kind of want to keep it a summer car. Haha that's so awesome man, glad t oll hear it! My mk5 jetta tdi with cooper true north winter tires was just awesome I'm the winter as well, I was shocked actually! Oh really? What model/year is that? Thanks for letting me know...that really intrigues me! Very interesting.
Munder Difflin-Dwight for sure lol. Yeah you’d be surprised how cheap you can get them for in the Midwest. $7-10k all day. Yes it’s a 2013 MK6. The delete alone made a huge difference, then the tune made it an entirely different car. I was averaging 53-55mpg before I lifted it and put the big tires on it. Now I’m back down to about 47mpg but the pros outweigh the cons by a long shot being lifted. I chose to lift it because I’m a huge outdoors fan and I have no use for a big expensive truck, I can keep my great mileage but still get down low maintenance roads out in the middle of nowhere and not rip my exhaust off and mash a hole in the oil pan. I had a 1996 BMW 318i last winter and it was miserable to drive in snowy conditions, rwd on a light car in the snow is awful. Might be a different story for your is350 but I wouldn’t know. I’m not exactly sure what years Audi produced the AWD 2.0 TDI Sedan but I Know they’re out there. I want to say 2014-2016 but don’t quote me on that lol. I have the 6 speed manual on the stock clutch. Even with the Tune and big tires my clutch holds up pretty well unless I’m trying to do a WOT pull and then it slips all the way to second gear but I didn’t buy this car for a race car lol. DSG doesn’t hold up to the power increase as well as the manuals but I know a lot of people that have the same setup as me with DSG and have no issues. Probably comes down to driving habits more than anything.
What tune do you have flashed in the video? I just finished up my 2014 a couple weeks ago with a full performance rawtek. Love it so far. Currently running the .5 tune until I can get tuned for stage 2
Allen Goldstein Never had a single issue. Always starts, great mileage and it turns a lot of heads when you’re putting the diesel handle in your car at the gas station lol. Run a dash of anti-gel additive in your fuel tank each fill up when it starts getting below 40° if you live in an area where it gets cold and keep up on regular maintenance like oil changes, fuel filters etc and they’ll go for 350-500k miles.
whats your exhaust setup do you have resonator or what its nice it doesnt have that bad sutter sound

@@Realtreecamo98 what clutch do you have on the car? I'd be fine with a 6 speed manual, prefer a dsg but manual would be fine as well!

This tune would be the Malone Stage 2
How’s the reliability? I’ve never owned a diesel but I’ve heard they’re supposed to be more reliable than their gas counterparts!
