    Thank you for remembering my request to dig a hole. I like your opinions and reviews. I certainly understand about the weather. All of your reviews are well presented and helpful and enjoyable to watch. I use my grapple often and trying to learn how to effectively use the bucket. To me, being old and slow , it is not as easy to use as a front end loader on a regular tractor. Thank you !

    I have had my Ventrac 4500Y for four years and absolutely love it. I use the power bucket with teeth and grapple. Do wish they would make a grapple with smaller sides. When picking up brush, you have the sides holding it out of the bucket, yet grapple works well. I use the grapple to move mulch, don’t use the bucket extension. When doing work with Ventrac and JD 1025r, always go to Ventrac 4500, except when using backhoe, JD has it as Ventrac has no backhoe. Also like JD for lifting things above 2 feet :) Overall, Ventrac is a GREAT machine.

    I've moved lots of dirt with the power bucket. It works great.

    A great addition to the power bucket is a Piranha tooth bar from bXpanded. I've got one on my 4500Z and while no loader can really do much in the way of digging, the Piranha bar makes a big difference.

    Nice bucket, I am surprised they didnt put covers over the hoses, to avoid damaging the lines

    Do you have LED headlights on the 4500

      Yes I added the LED lights at the dealer when I purchased it.

    It doesn't lift very high, does it? I think they have another one that does lift a lot higher, right?

      They do make a front loader as well . Similar to a compact tractor style.

      @@steiger256 Thanks! I found it on another video. I have a Steiner 450 and I'm thinking about selling it and getting a Ventrac. Nothing wrong with the Steiner, I just like some of the features of the Ventrac. Namely the power lift front, which the Steiner is manual. It would make it easier to store with the front lifted up...

      @@terryjones8360 I love the Ventrac. It is has a lot more options over the Steiner. I plan on doing a video on that soin as well.

    Will they ever make a forward post-hole-digger?

    • @steiger256
      @steiger256  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They did at one time. If I recall it mounted to the Versa loader.

      @@steiger256 I just went trough the online store and did not locate one. Also if they can make a stump grinder, why not a post hole digger? I think a post hole digger in the front would be what every tractor owner would wish for?

      @@steiger256 Thank you! Did you see the size of that auger! Maybe the price of good American steel has caused pause at Ventrac? This last comment was simply light humor...thanks for the info!

      @@pointdoc1 No problem. May not have been a big seller because it has to attach to the loader. Im sure not to many people have the loaders also. They work well, But the power bucket fits 90 percent of most peoples needs probaly

      I will say it was a lot easier to use the bucket on my 430. The Steiner was a smaller and the hood was lower so you could see the bucket better. I have only used the power bucket for a short time. Best advice I could give is just turn sharp into what ever you are picking up and lean out to get best possible view. With the tractor turned it will give you some better views. On the 430 I used to stand up and look over the hood and I could see straight down at what I was doing. Unfortunately on the Ventrac when you stand the tractor will shut off, Even with the PTO not engaged. The Ventrac is just a bigger machine so it does make it a little more difficult to see, But I do love the extra lifting capabilities and power. Once I get some more time on using the bucket if I figure out any other tricks I will be sure to let you know. Hope this helps.
