The comment on developing resistance to other cats was true for me. Before i got my siberian kitten i was very allergic to cats. After only 8 months of having my cat my allergies to other cats was almost all but gone. Amazing! Hopefully you can build up a tolerance to it over time on top of your shots
Thanks for this video! I have pretty much the exact same allergies, very badly to certain cats, some dogs, trees in spring, and developed food allergies to fruits. The allergy shots in my country are also extremely expensive 😢 This was a super informative and realistic, cats and even "hypoallergenic" ones seem like they might not be an option for me!
I’m glad to hear this helped!! Yes, even my allergist told me very bluntly that “hypoallergenic” isn’t really a proven thing so best to try visiting friends’ pets or pet sitting to see how you do if you still want to try getting a pet 🙏🏼
Thanks so much for the well wishes 🥰 it's always interesting to hear other people's experience with their pets and whether hypoallergenic pets actually alleviate symptoms so thank you for sharing. Happy Holidays!! 💕
This is very helpful! I have seasonal allergies and I currently don’t have dog or cat allergies, but my dad has cat allergies, so there could be a possibility of me developing them later on.
I’m glad you found this video helpful!! Allergies are difficult because it varies so much from person to person but I hope you don’t develop any to animals 🙏🏼🥰❤️
Hey! I was thinking about trying to convince my parents to get me a cat like these but, one of them is severely allergic so I was wondering how bad your allergies are so I could compare. Thanks!
Thank you very much for this info. May I kindly ask: how did allergist find out you type of allergies, is it through blood test ? And how are you feeling now after the the shots ? Thank you again, your kittens are so lovely I am jealous 🤣
I’m also allergic to dogs and cats. I get hives whenever they lick me, my eyes get watery, itchy, and they swell up. I really wanna get a cat but im scared!
Hi! I'd like to ask whether the allergy shots are working and how effective they are (have your allergies disappeared / barely visible / still there but a bit reduced / no effect?). I'm thinking of also getting lil siberian bois but I'm scared that my allergies would flare up and I'd have to give them back. I think I might have the same amount of allergy as you given your symptoms, so follow up would be awesome. Thanks!
Hello :) thanks for reaching out! I have been on allergy shots for about 9 months now and finished all my build up and am about 3 months into the maintenance phase. Unfortunately I haven't seen much effect at all but my allergist did tell me that people don't usually any relief until after they've been on maintenance for a few months so hopefully I'll be seeing some effect soon!! 🤞🏻 I did also recently learn about Purina Pro Plan's LiveClear dry cat food. Looking at the reviews, people seem to swear by it as the only thing that's helped their allergies. It is quite pricey but I just ordered some to try :) Good luck on your journey!!
@@AnyaUniKatsu Ey thanks for the follow up! Hmm I see, I'll probably try to first get shots and wait to be on the safe side of things. Will also probably read up some research papers on ncbi.nlm.nih.gov about their projected effectiveness. Again thank you so much!

Oh wow, just 8 months! That really is amazing. So happy for you 🥰💕 I do have allergies still, unfortunately but they have gotten better than before!

I don't have allergies to cats but still have wet eyes with my Siberian cat sometimes.
Thank you for the video. I wish you love and health!

@@AnyaUniKatsuany update on trying the food you stated above? How is the allergy for you now?
Also, have you tried allerpet spray?
Beautyful kitten ❤❤❤❤❤
Luckily I don't have any allergies
