    This is a beautiful pattern and, as usual, extremely well explained. Thank you for all your hard work making crochet a pleasure for us.

    I’m loving this pattern. I’ve started it before. I ended up using the dragonfly pattern in a rectangle baby blanket, for my new grandson and this time I’m trying this shawl to convert into a bandana. Such a beautiful pattern. Thank you so much.

    Fiber Spider, May I just say it is a pleasure to listen to you as you fly along with me doing the impossible (teaching an old bird new stitches)! You are amazing, thank for having the humility to show that even you, that produces exquisite pieces of art, makes mistakes, and you dust yourself off and keep going. You show that it is possible that we too, may be able to make beautiful art like you. Thank you for reminding me to breathe 😊 I get into the project and find myself holding my breath, I think of you and exhale and deep breath. I love that you take care of me while I learn and let me know that I can do this. I love your smile in your voice Thank you for being here Fiber Spider you are the Catz! 😻meow
    PS. I used a H hook 5.00 mm my yarn I chose a weight of 3 and used the Mandala bonus bundle in the color GOLEM. It is 100% Acrylic The shawl came out great thank you for your expertise in tutoring. Take care of yourself and have fun remember always to smile 😊

    excellent tutorial I used Mandala bonus bundle by Lion Brand weight #3 color way Elektro Electro, I used a H hook. I mashed two of your tutorials together the butterfly prayer shawl and this one I skipped one dragon fly row then added butterflies in with dragonflies. I am putting a hood on it as well for an early spring and fall shawl. 🎉

    Great video. I really enjoy crocheting along with you. Your voice is so soothing. I'm using a lace weight merino with variagated colors of greens, oranges, and yellows. Hopefully it will be nice and big since I have so much thread. This is one that I'm keeping for myself.

    I’m making a Shawl with Yarn Art Flowers Midnight (#2 fine) cotton mauve gradient cake yarn with beautiful pink sparkles. I’m using a 3.5 mm (E) hook. It is definitely growing at a much slower rate than yours….but so far it’s looking very striking and has a wonderful drape. Can’t wait to see how it will turn out! Thanks so very much for providing such a detailed and confidence building tutorial!

    I've watched part 1&2 of your tutorials 2X's . While watching it the 2nd time, I wrote your directions down. Now comes the hard part but I'm just going to do it, I will be using Premier Yarn Turquoise Ombre because this is going to be for my daughter and is one of her favorite colors. Fingers crossed and a few prayers and we're off LOL

    This is on my to do list as it is so beautiful! Another gem from your repertoire! Thank you! Dear Spider would you be willing to do a crochet tutorial for a small purse? Summer is going to be around the corner and I just love the light weight of a purse made out of a beautiful yarn! Would so appreciate it. 🤞

    How do I do the third row of dragonfly motifs? You are a terrific teacher. I really appreciate how you explain everything! I just wish I had a still picture of the finished work. I have purple ombre yarn here and I can't wait to try it!

    I so enjoy both the dragonfly and butterfly top down patterns, how about 2 or 4 point poncho. Also, after making 2 shawls with your count, my next dragonfly shawl , I have changed the spacing, so much fun.

    • @1carolmurphy
      @1carolmurphy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      THIS INFO. is for Butterfly ponchos.I figured it out, 2 point count, 14 X what length you need on the odd number, turn each round. 4 point 14 X even number, turn on each round. SO, for Square, 21 dc, ch 3, x 4 sides then I connect ch. Turning on ea. round., I do corners like granny sq. turning on ea. row. Corners for both, "Only first round,3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc"...ALL other first rounds. rd 1,2 dc ch sp.,1dc in next st.,3 dc total rd 2, 2 in ch sp. 5 dc total, rd 3, 2 dc in ch sp, 8 dc total, rd 4, 1dc in ch sp.

    How many yards will this take if using a 3# wt yarn or a 2# wt? I have 3 balls of Bendigo Wollen Mills sock yarn that are approximately 400 meters or 437.445 yds per ball. The gauge is 28 sts/10 cm on 3.25 mm needles but no numbers for a crochet hook. Just trying to determine if I will have enough yarn (I think I will) and what size hook to use. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Also, what are the finished dimensions of the shawl please? Thanks.

    I'm confused. If we do the 17-20 rows, aren't we supposed to do that increase on rows 17/18 to help with the shaping of the wings or are these increases for just those 2 rows?

    Hi, FIbey! What do you recommend for blocking th Dragonfyl shawl? i WANT TO MAKE ONE FOR A CRAFT SHOW this weekend, and I wanted to be OK.

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are different methods for blocking. Soaking and pinning, steaming, etc. It only works well with natural fibers (which I seldom use) and often needs to be reblocked to keep its shaping. Personally I don't block and I think my pieces look just fine.
