I've been looking for a "bat wing" crochet shawl pattern, and this is perfect! I am using big twist Heather in color charcoal and it's coming out perfect! Thank you for your pattern and video!!! 🦇🦇
Hi Fiber, i fell in love with this pattern and immediately ran to JoAnn Fabric and bought mandala in Sasquach AND 3 other colors. Im on round 17 after 1 day...having so much fun...i cant put it down because i want to see what the next color way will look like. Thank you sooo much. Luv u❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I keep looking through your tutorials and I see you are using another Letto hook. They are back not on Etsy, but you can Google them and yes still (Letto Workshop )is the name. ❤The workmanship of these hooks how comfortable they are to use and how light they are made me fall in love with them. ❤❤❤ I can imagine that is why you use them in your tutorials. As always your work is wonderful and it is very nice to follow you through it all. Thank you
❤this pattern, but it looked so complicated. You have rendered this entirely possible. Yay! Just goes to show what an excellent teacher you are. Thanks again.
Love this pattern! I already had this same yarn, so this was perfect! Thank you so much ❤ I really enjoyed this tutorial. You are my new favorite crocheter on TH-cam!!
I love your yimmeryammer 😊😊😊 of point options. To me 9 points may give more fabric to wrap around neck and over shoulder. I also love ❤❤❤ it when you model your wares giving an excellent representation of how garments fit/drape.
Hi there...just had to tell you i finished my shawl. I got 9 sections and had enough left to border to long side with 3 sc in the first ch3 space and 2 sc in next ch3 space...i also added a bead on each point. Omg it is gorgeous. I used the mandala bundle and alsi had a smidge left. Thank you sooo much for this pattern❤❤❤
I had some mandala yarn that I impulse bought a couple of weeks ago. I saw that you posted this today. This was the perfect project for this. I can do it while I listen to audibles as well, without having to count stitches. Thanks Fiber Spider!❤
This is soooo cool 😍and unique. I crochet shawls for charity/nursing homes. I love the idea of a "non slip" shawl. Might need to be a little bigger to meet some of their requests....one I definitely will be making. Thank you FiSpi...🤗
Absolutely love this !!! I made a New Year's resolution to not buy any yarn this year until I used up most of my yarn in my stash. This is perfect for my Red Heart It's a Wrap !!! I moved up the recommended hook size and it's working up beautifully ! Thank you -You Are Awesome
I love this so much and have just started making a couple of hours ago. I have the same yarn I am told, and colour, but it is slightly different as it is packaged and colourchanging for a different shawl. A shawl with tassels... I may have to put tassels on the points, if I have enough yarn left.
Hello lovely Fiber Spider. please allow me to share my wonderful project with you. Thank you so much for the beautiful pattern. I made thos shawl for our prayershawl ministry, and it is already comforting someone. Thank you, bunches, for the wonderful work. I LOVE it❤ 4:31
It’s so hard to pick what to make next you such wonderful work thank you so very much for teaching us all to learn how to do crocheting ❤❤god bless you
Oohhh this is going to make some lovely bat wings for Halloween!! Thank you for yet another amazing tutorial! I've made so many pretty things with your tutorials, and I recommend your channel to people I meet that are always intimidated to start learning/want to relearn crochet. You're such a good teacher and I'm so very happy that I stumbled across your channel!
I JUST WANT TO SAY I HAVE APPRECIATED THAT GREEN FROG MORE THAN I THOUGHT. I AM ACTUALLY CROCHETING WITH YOU ON THIS ONE. I LOVE THAT SHAW. I DONT HAVE YOUR COLORS (AND I BELIEVE YOUR COLORS IS WHAT MAKES THAT SHAW SO BEAUTIFUL) BUT ITS OKAY I LOVE THE SHAPE AND THE CROCHETING HAS MORE GRANNY EXCITEMENT TO IT IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ITS A PRETTY ENOUGH STITCH TO MAKE A CARDIGAN. I WANT TO MAKE ONE SO BAD FOLLOWING YOU WITH THIS PRETTIEST STITCH. I THINK THIS IS THE STITCH!!!!
If you decide to make it nine points, you will need to wait till row nine to do your first decrease row. Thank you, for this tutorial. I was specifically looking for a 9point shawl tutorial to play around with making shoulder shawls for charity. I wanted a soft draping shawl that would cover the shoulders and upper back, with plenty of length to cross over without needing a pin, clasp, or tie. Thank You,Thank You, Thank You! I did add additional points, as you mentioned. I discovered I had to improvise on the decreasing, by waiting til row nine to start the decreasing. Thank you, again. Still playing around with this. But so far, I am so delighted! ❤🤗 Update: 🤔hum, I maybe wrong about decreasing on 9 rather than 8. Not entirely sure. Something looks odd. Oh! I rewound, and listened from the beginning. You did say, adding nine points looks odd, and you didn’t prefer that look. Well, neither do I. 😆 You are the best! Yay! I am starting over with seven points. ✨Oh My Goodness! What a remarkable difference! Yes, made it right along with you, and seven points is the Trick! So so Happy with this. Thank You! My first star crescent shawl, but certainly not my last! Happy Dance! 😊❤🌼 🕊💕🕯😇🙏🏻💚
I’m starting a new Shaw now in Spirit mandala. Thank you for this pattern. PS. I keep expecting you to say “double, double toil and treble (trouble).” I😂 I must have McBeth on the brain (or nothing).
I think this is so pretty! I started one with 9 points,is the pattern the same or will I have more single clusters in between the points or double clusters? Thank you,I love your tutorials you explain things so darn good 😊
Thank you, FiSpi for another great shawl😊. I sometimes wonder if it’s possible for the spikes could be rounded humps instead?! Bit hard to put into words but still have the granny stitch bit in smoother points at each corner/ point… maybe I am thinking more of the Virus type pattern? And do you use the yarn as the colours appear or make the colour stripes change at the ends of rows “on purpose”? Or is it a secret trick?!I made your virus shawl (5) humps when Covid-19 started for my sis in Ferris Wheel Evergreen -its v cosy for her, south in Victoria Australia . It’s hot humid summer in Queensland right now, not very inspiring…! But I get my inspiration from your vids galore. Mandala is great too. I am also trying the type of hooks you use too & holding it nearer the hook for more efficiency & even stitches, thanks- I keep my good eye on you !! Toodle-Pip! 🥰Julia,C&P🎶🦜🦜
Hi, thank you for this shawl. I love it. I'm making it in Mandala Thunderbird. I do have a question, did you just end with row 8 - no border? Again, thanks

I really like this pattern because i like a shawl to wrap around to the front and not just lay on my shoulders. Thanks ❤😊❤

So this what I've been saving my Mandala Big Bundles for. Thank you so much. Your really one of the best.
Hi, thank you for this pattern. I just finish mine using a thinner cotton yarn and a 3.5mm hook.
This would be a pretty poncho too! ❤
I like these shawls with a nice drape over the shoulders. Pretty pattern too!

Love this pattern! Making it in sparkly red yarn to go on my blue sofa for a 'welcome' feng shui accent. How many rows are in your shawl?

Hi, thank you for this shawl. I love it. I'm making it in Mandala Thunderbird. I do have a question, did you just end with row 8 - no border? Again, thanks
Is there a border for this project? Im working on my shawl as i watch Swamp People
❤
Is there a way to crochet this pattern with a straight edge and not curved?
Will you have this written out ??
I'd like to know if there's a written pattern to follow along with the video tutorial as well?
@@tamicowles3143o
Do you end on row 8?
