    • @samuel2pac72
      @samuel2pac72 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rio Taco That’s such a bullshit stats because it’s a team game. Wade had the Big 3 for 2011 until 2014. The same with LeBron and Kobe, Bron had that big 3 team in Miami and Cleveland. If anything, let’s examine their head to head record when their rosters were competitive with each other. But that’s such a frivolous stat when it’s vacant of context.

    • @tacomaliciouso
      @tacomaliciouso 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@samuel2pac72 you miss out the point dude. This stat shows that they nearly had identical record on their matchups which mesmerizing because they also had similar record playoff record of 6-6 when their team at best. Also to satisfy your point, those 2 finals matchup they were up to are where dirk team is considered favorites in finals but choked on dwade heat and similary on big 3 heat choking to underdog mavericks team. Those 2 finals are where dwade and dirk had their best teams but still had similar records on their matchup. SO THIS STAT IS NOT A BS AND YOUR ARGUMENT IS SHIT

    • @ananthshreya
      @ananthshreya 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samuel2pac72 why are you getting so angry man. If you use that then you can look at all the pathetic teams wade got before and after lebron, or look at his injury history. I mean its an interesting statistic thats it. IMO on the all time list DIrk is 17th and wade 15th.

    • @danieldaw1778
      @danieldaw1778 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @imarino13 I wouldn't. Dwade was better at both sides of the ball, a pretty good rebounder for his size one of the best facilitating shooting guards ever, a much better defender, and the best blocking 2 guard ever. Dirk is excellent offensively and probably the best shooting big ever, but he wasn't a good defender and he was a pretty terrible rebounder for his size. For instance, in his 4th and 3rd to last seasons, Tim Duncan matched Dirk's career high and second best rebound tally. And out of the 19 seasons he played, in only 4 seasons does he have less rebounds per game then that.

    • @danieldaw1778
      @danieldaw1778 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @imarino13 Dude, Dirk had a 50 40 90 season once. He wasn't doing this every year. Hell, he had exactly TWO seasons in his entire career where he shot .500 or better, and 3 seasons where he shot better than .900 from the charity stripe, and 4 seasons where he shot .400 from 3. In those 5 seasons he shot .400 or better, only two had him actually make more than 75 three pointers. Yes, was Dirk very good? Yes, historically so. However, he was very one note in that he was a good scorer. That was basically it. He wasn't really exceptional at anything else. Dwade at his best was as good of a scorer if not better given his higher point totals on one more shot per game (if you look at their career splits, both only have one season with 20+ shots per game: Dirk averaged 25.9 points on 20 shots per game and Dwade had 30.2 points on 22 shots per game, the vast majority of their respective primes they both hovered around 18 shots per game), Dwyane Wade's superior career field goal percentage (though inferior eFG% due to Dirk undeniably being the superior 3 point and free throw shooter), I'd say they're about equal offensively. You could make a convincing argument either way with Dwyane being the better scorer in his prime with crazy efficiency for his size but not 3 and an average free throw percentage while Dirk is better from 3 and the ft, his career high would be tied for Dwade's like 4th best career outing, but he has more 20+ PPG seasons than Dwade does with 12 to Dwade's 10.
      However, afterwards is where Dirk falls behind. By a lot. Dwade was a pretty decent rebounder for his size, position, and the era he played most of his prime in. If he was in his prime now, he'd probably have had a lot more rebounds with all the threes and the small ball lineups. Also, for his position and the era he played on, he's one of the best facilitators at the shooting guard position ever. From 2004-2010 he averaged 7 assists per game while averaging 27 points per game. Additionally, he's the best shot blocking guard ever. Dirk had one season with more total blocks than Dwade's highest blocks total. At 7 feet tall. Dwade is 6'4 in shoes. Dirk has 396 more blocks than a dude he's like 8 inches taller than despite playing 5 more seasons and 468 more games in. Dirk looks even worse when you look at his rebounding compared to the other great power forwards of his time like KG and Timmy D. Dwayne Wade is better because even though it's difficult, if not impossible to compare their positions and the fact that their games couldn't be more different, Dwade was the more well rounded player by far. Dirk was really, really good at like one thing. However, you could argue Dwade was better at the one thing Dirk was great at, on top of being much, much better at the other parts of the game. If both were a 10/10 offensively, Dirk would at best be like a 3-4/10 defensively while Dwade would be an 8-9/10 defensively. That still ends up with Dirk being a 13-14 and Dwade a 18-19.

      Yeah I was incredibly pissed. Considering how 3 of those Mavs losses were by 3 points or less, the fouls really gave the Heat the title.
      I mean, even Shaq never reached 97 free throws. The closest he ever got was 93 in 2000 against the Pacers... and he was getting fouled intentionally.

    this is the most annoying comparison in the history of the game. besides shooting the basketball, dirk did nothing better tangibly or intangibly. because of what happened in 2011, the 17 year old me knew that people would rank dirk above dwyane wade. but the reality is if lebron even HALF shows up, the heat win that series in 6 games. and wade is finals mvp for the second time against dirk. people talk about the refs in 2006, but wade simply was better than dirk and some foul calls he clearly deserved. dirk having a longer prime doesn’t make him better. by that logic, lebron over mj. and dirk being more revolutionary for the game also doesn’t make him better. by that logic, steph curry over lebron. wade was simply better at his peak, like way better. would you say prime dirk is better than prime kobe or close to prime kobe? no of course you wouldn’t. so why use that argument against wade who was neck and neck with kobe and lebron in his prime? how in the world is a top 3 2 guard of all time not better than dirk? this is still THE most annoying basketball comparison to me. just because he’s european born, 7 ft and is a great shooter of the basketball, does not make him better. him being a “nice guy” also doesn’t make him better. him winning in 2011 despite dwyane wade having better numbers with underperforming teammates also doesn’t make him better. knock it off with this dumb ass take and comparison.

And After going back and watching it, it seemed more like wade was just taking advantage of bad defense and going to the rim and u get fouled when u go to the rim. This was after the league started to try to increase offense production and created more rules to crack down on over physical defense, and slashing guards like Wade and Kobe obviously thrived during this time because of how many times they drove to the rim and got fouled.
