    Question: With 65s hand pot bet on the turn, doesn't that big of a bet fold out all of his draws except combodraws? Therefore he has less foldable hands on the river?

    • @henrykayne6511

    I think the part about also knowing your opponent, you gotta know which players are able to fold here

    do you have the same betsize on turn and river with an Ace ? for me, with an ace, i want to hold him in the hand with a smaler size on turn and even smaler on river because i want him to bluffcatch. is the huge size maybe an indicator for an call on your level ?

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We want to use bigger sizings so we get more value out of our Ax, also allows us to generate more fold equity with our bluffs

    Hi Ben! I'm still micro player in raiseyouredge. I don't understand the reasoning of bluffcatching QsTs but not QhTh. If we bluffcatch we need to count the higher number of possible combos to the villain, then why calling with 2 blockers rather than with hearts?

    • @benjaminrolle7004
      @benjaminrolle7004 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      villain is supposed to bluff with non spade combos, therefore we can call those spade combos

  • @L4zEGaming
    @L4zEGaming 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    18:35 turn bricks are tough to navigate. I try to be careful to not over bluff on these type of turns because I think that’s a common leak in these spots. I’m curious to here your thoughts on bet sizing here and if going for larger bets is better with a more polarized range and very selective bluff combos.
    For example I think once you start to bluff the river with K8 combos it ends up widening your bluffing range too much in a spot where you might be over bluffing/ opponent over calling with his turn continuing range

  • @lucianozaffaina9853
    @lucianozaffaina9853 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why calling with QT of hearts is -EV? It should be plus EV because I am unblocking busted flush draws that are bluffing here

  • @stkfr
    @stkfr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    When u say "i target autofolds" in the 65s exemple, why u bet so highon river then? I mean if u really have a hand u want to value and not scare him, like 30% 35% no?

    • @constantinschwarze7876
      @constantinschwarze7876 3 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @NoWayFolding

    What do you think the solvers rationale for bluff catching QTss but not QThh. You didnt really talk about this dynamic.

    • @ghalibenchekroun3848
      @ghalibenchekroun3848 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's because having spades is not relevant because our opponent is not supposed to bluff with the Qs. Having Q10hh blocks his Qh that his definitely bluffing in some combos like QhJh or Qh9h because those combos unblock the FD folding range on the river

    • @michaokarma7707
      @michaokarma7707 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know Ben said we dont Want to bluff these but KQss is supposed to bluff like 50% in the sim so its intresting its considering calling sometimes

      @@ghalibenchekroun3848 Your understanding is right but on lower stakes if player bluff on a river he will do it mostly with busted flushdraw. It's probably better to call with opposite suits than solver suggest.

    Why do you say that A9 is your thinnest value bet? Whats the difference to A2? Any specific reasoning?

    • @PAomaiordomundo
      @PAomaiordomundo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A2 is probably not betting that size on the turn

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In this case the hand strength is the same, because it's 2 pair with T kicker. But if you bet your A2, means you will also bet all the other Ax and you may have a too weak of a betting range.
