    I love your teaching on the one baptism. I learned this through Les Feldick's teaching. He made it very plain about the difference between Law and Grace.

    We are baptised by one spirit into. One body. No carnal washings. Already done.

    It is very hard ( but not impossible) to believe water baptism is not required after 65 years of believing it is and 40 years belonging to the Church of Christ.

      Hey Vernon, I know what you are saying. But it is more important to follow what the bible says then man's traditions. Like I did for 35 yrs. Justin has a great handle on the scriptures.

      The text of the Bible makes it easy to believe baptism in water in Jesus's name is involved in being saved. It is "only" commentators that try to make it look like it's not.

    You said it yourself that Saul was already converted and then you at around the 26:18 mark read it yourself in Acts 22:16 that after his conversion met Ananias who said ..."arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins"...
    There is a clear distinction between being justified in the sight of man in an earthly kingdom and being justified in the sight of God, the Father in the heavenly kingdom.

    Great fundamental teaching on why not to be water baptized.

      Amen Bob, I could not believe my ears when I heard a certain so-called teacher say the words "Water baptism is EQUALLY AS IMPORTANT as Spirit baptism"... John and Jesus taught exactly the opposite. These people undermine the superiority of baptism with the Holy Spirit. In doing so, they say that in some way, shape or form Christ died in vain... GOD FORBID we're ever baptized into that spirit of error. God forbid we ever deny the Master that bought us. God bless you.

    Act 18:9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace
    This is right after Paul's few baptism's. Jesus speaking to Paul. " pssst hey Paul I got something to tell Ya" And Paul's account of this.
    1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
    Good Stuff!

  • @zachariah7114

    You say Acts 22:16 was water baptism, but Acts 22:16 YLT (Young's Literal Translation) reads "and now, why tarriest thou? having risen, *baptize thyself,* and wash away thy sins, calling upon the name of the Lord."
    Are we to believe Paul physically water baptized himself here? That makes no sense. But "baptize thyself" as in believe and receive the Holy Spirit (all the work of God) makes total sense. Furthermore, Paul is not explicitly said to have received the Holy Spirit after Ananias promised him just that. But if this "baptism" Paul receieved then and there was the one baptism he later revealed in Ephesians, it makes perfect sense.

      Zachariah, Paul didn't say that Ananias said be baptized washing away sins. Ananias knew that Paul's sins were already washed away in Acts 9: 6--17. Ananias knew that Paul was already saved, he called him "Brother Saul" V17.
      Paul, [Saul] was saved for three days before he was baptized with the Holy Ghost, but he wasn't baptized in water at that time. That's why Ananias said, "Why wait, arise and be baptized, because your sins have ALREADY BEEN WASHED AWAY, when you called on the name of the Lord" [Original Greek].
      Nowhere does the Bible teach water baptism saves, NOT when you know the Bible and the Biblical Greek.

      @@dr.alanhales544 I completely agree, my comment was not to promote water baptism or say that it saves a person. I was trying to demonstrate Paul himself was not called for a water baptism in that verse. We are mostly in agreement it seems, not sure where we differ.

    • @dr.alanhales544
      @dr.alanhales544 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zachariah7114 2 years ago you seemed to agree with the YLT on Acts 22: 16. YLT it not a literal translation, In fact his Hebrew and Greek dictionary contradict what he says in his Bible.
      The Greek for Acts 22: 16, says,
      "Why wait, arise and be baptized, because your sins have ALREADY been washed away by calling on the Lord".
      And Acts 9: 6--17 proves that Saul, [Paul] was already saved for three days before he was baptized with the Holy Ghost, But he wasn't baptized in water at that time.
      So anyone who knows the Bible, will know that the translators have misled people with Acts 22: 16, As they have with
      Acts 2: 38. and 1 Pet 3: 21.

Oh wait, because of copyright laws alone they all take liberties... KJV is full of errors too. What’s your point? You didn’t even read my comment or you’d know I was interpreting the verse not as physical water baptism. No shoot Sherlock.

      That was still the kingdom gospel. Paul had not yet been converted at this time. Paul was still persecuting the little flock (believing Jews). To go into the kingdom that would have came down if Israel received Jesus everyone would have to of done everything Jesus commanded. That is not our gospel today. Our gospel today is Paul's gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15 : 1-4.

      Jesus was telling them to water baptise, as they started doing in Acts 2. When Paul talks about baptism he is talking about the baptism by the Spirit. The Spirit performs this baptism not a man/pastor. I Cor 12:13

    • @zachariah7114
      @zachariah7114 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dkgrace6743 why then does Acts 2:36 speak or baptizing “thyself” then? (Btw I KNOW it’s not abt water baptism but baptism by Holy Spirit..) my point is you can’t water baptize yourself... read the YLT and do your own studying to see what I mean. The verse actually disproves water baptism, yet when I point this out people think I’m defending water baptism to save a person (I’m not)

      When Jesus says to baptize ALL nations, He is talking about going to all nations baptizing JEWS not Gentiles. Jesus never had Gentiles in mind when He gave that instruction.
      Gentiles would come to the Lord by way of Israel. And that is the way it will be in His kingdom.
