    Great video, only needed to replace the broken $2 bolt holding the wheel on but following the steps in your video worked perfectly. Had to buy $5 snap ring pliers so $7 repair. Thanks very much!

    I couldn't move the rear wheel height adjustment on either side of my mower. After disassembly and cleaning the rear wheel support it works as easily as it must have when it was new. Thanks for putting this up. This video was so helpful to enabling me to make the repair.

    Thanks for making this video, definitely helpful with keeping all your washers and spacers in the right place, for anyone else considering this repair make sure you're very careful with the ratchet key, (little piece sitting on top of the axle when you pull the gear off, very easy to lose).

    This part is the replacement for the crappy -01 part that causes rear wheels to not roll backwards. Bushing was too small.

    Sure wish you would mention that ratchet key during the disassembly; glad I watched he full video? BTW, found any disassembly instructions for the wheel assembly for a HRR2167VXA?

    How about a video for the HRR2167VXA with the single rear wheel adjustment for both wheels (Lever, RR, NH164). Need to replace this broken lever!

    Repair Clinic -- What about replacing the Right Rear Wheel Support on the same mower? Is it going to be different than this left side ??? Thank you for a very clearly documented with awesome camera work, video !! I also have the dreaded impossible to pull backwards wheels on an HRR2169VKA mower... Absolutely hate using it because it wont pull backwards..

    Thank you. I have a 4 piece set of German pliers. Mannheim or someting. Rubbish. Soft steel, bent, tips badly aligned, of different thicknesses! Tried to grind. Got one small check up out...then half an hour later a second one...What are your pliers please. Someone below recommended a set. They're $100 but have enough bad reviews to avoid them. Please tell us your pliers. Thank you.

    I am certain this will NOT work on a Honda HRT2162TDA. The bushing comes in from the back side, not by the wheel adjuster. My wheels are locking up when pulling it in reverse.

    You forgot to grease the damn thing before you installed it.

    Please help. I spent hours doing this thanks to the snap rings and the lousy snap ring pliers I bought. I did all this and now the mower doesn’t click click click when rolling forward. What would cause this? I checked that the pinion gear matches the direction yours is.

    • @pressseventeen8786
      @pressseventeen8786 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe I fixed it. I bought new snap ring pliers and I apparently had the ratchet key in backwards with the curved part facing outward. Now it clicks.

    • @HsingSun

      I watched from a different video, the pinion gear (flat side) should face to the front. Try it!

      It is a little tedious but I have done it many times now.. The trick is to get 2 pair of Channel Lock snap ring pliers, one large size and one small size, because there is a large snap ring behind the adjuster inside the mower, and then 2 small snap rings that need to be used on the axle that holds the wheel and the outer gear..
      Just be sure that the little key that goes in the slot before you install the gear, goes curved side DOWN into that little slot that has the spring in it..
      When you get it in and put the gear on it, you can carefully rotate the gear forward to see if will go forward, and then, you know that you have the gear orientation correct..
      You want the wheels to make that clicking sound when you push the mower Forward only.. If that gear moves backward and clicks, then you need to turn it around so the opposite side is up, and assemble it, carefully turn it forward and it should click and you know its correct in orientation..
