You lost the first two Eric brought the fire and you got the smoke my dude haven't seen the other rounds I like the beard it's more manlier you really didn't bring that heat bring it next time bro love you T you got em at the last part you're right about the beard not appearing in all spot's I grow stubble not beards it's really weak to not look all creeper I shave it off I look better without the moustache It's not possible to loose it because I look like a mustacheless ned flanders and that look is awful on me tried it didn't feel natural either
When I was younger and in College I was clean shaven. As I aged and got more comfortable in my career I grew my beard. I also grew my hair and pulled it back in a ponytail. When I changed jobs I cut my hair and beard. But then the Van Dyke came back. The longer hair just didn't make it for me. Back then the wife didn't care for the beard. Today I still have the Van Dyke however I use my beard trimmer to leave stubble on the rest of the face. I trim up everything once a week. In my 40's when I was cleaned shaven I didn't care for it. I lost my chin and jaw line. So the Van Dyke is with me until the end.
Absolutely . Being bold one needs facial hare not to look glossy and cold like a reptile. There is warmth to hair that we need to have. I'm bold too. Even a goatee is too little hair for me to have that warmth.
Antonio I always love our time together. You're such an inspiration for the community and very grateful for our chats. Beard or no beard, it doesn't matter; what matters is you invest in yourself. Keep on growing!
Eric i love your responses Gillette propaganda super heroes growing beards villains clean shaven. you can wash your beard with whatever or use special products. man beardless get home dads. i know you're a business man responses nonetheless love most answers. As for Antonio probably intended for the video he sounded like an annoying girl multiple times🤣
If you aren't a beard guy like myself, go for a smart stubble look. It still gives you that masculine and professional clean cut look for any occasion.
I have a such a difficult time to have nice beard. They do grow but they look disorganized and like remoline. Oher thing are I live in tropical and Caribbean archiepalago that is very hot and I hate sweating and that itchy feeling that make me cratch everyday.
@@yordannydelvalle3301 I can't even grow one. I get stubble ONLY on my top lip. I just can't get one. I hate it :-/ I wouldn't look as young as I do if I could get one.
Team beard here! I didn't think it would look good but I did a yeard and I get compliments all the time, mine curls like a Greek god. Grow the beard don't touch it and power through it and let it flow!
Being clean shaven or maintained short stubble is a great way to stand out with confidence, especially if you have a sharp jaw line and strong chin. I work in a very professional office, and almost every single guy has a beard. In this post pandemic world, being clean shaven is the definitely the way to stand out, and also having a beard doesn't make you 'manlier'. It's all what makes you comfortable
I love having a beard. I'm quite skinny and a beard helps to fill out both my face and my neck. I also have a strong jawline so the beard helps soften my face a little bit. That said-I do prefer a nice wet shave over beard maintenance. I'm a pretty stoic guy so people tend to assume I'm more aggressive when I have my beard. A clean shave also looks more kept-together than a beard.
I do both. It’s a win for me. It’s a win for both. I sport a beard in the fall and winter. And shave in the spring and summer. It’s more of a style thing with me. It just makes sense.
I was in the military and yes, I understand that we had to be clean shaven and grow a mustache within regulation. So since being honorably discharged over 20 years ago, I started to grow out my facial hair in my early 40s. In my late 20s and throughout my 30s I couldn’t grow out my beard due to a lot of patches. So by the time I got to my early 40s, I gave it a try and the patches are less and I feel like I rock facial hair a lot better than in my 20s and 30s. And to provide maintenance to my facial hair is just as important to providing maintenance to head hair. So yeah, even though this video was made nearly 2 years ago, and if you haven’t done so, then I highly recommend you give it that initial month and grow out your facial hair.
Beards in general arent a thing most women go for. ask any women on the street. Nowadays they will directly tell you that they either “dont mind it” or not prefer it entirely. the only sorts of people who do like it are men. i dont blame you guys for liking it it sometimes looks cool but that alone it isnt gonna get you ladies or in this case give you more chances of getting them. when females look at you the first thing theyd notice is facial features. then everything else comes after. what kind of female blushes over someones beard? they mainly if not all go/prefer jawlines. Look all over tik tok twitter and most male models. they either have no beard of Shaved ones. but anyone reading this rn if you dont have a good jawline most definitely get a beard
@@zereth2792 Fully agreed. I think most guys who are interested in big bushy beards are trying to cover up their weak jaws, which there's nothing wrong with ofc, but most women would 100% prefer good facial structure over a nice beard. One key point i'm highly against Eric on, is that you should grow your beard even if it's patchy/scraggly. You'll just look like shit.
Here's my take: - Clean shaven: You appear more trustworthy, younger, cleaner, more conservative. - Bearded: You appear more masculine, dangerous & aggressive. I have sometimes rock the, "5 O'clock shadow" that is a nice in-between that seems to strike a balance. My $.02.
Growing a beard is like shaving yourself bald... you just dont know if it works unless you do it. Even if its just for a while. Shaking things up to such degree against normal conventions is a very good moment for personal growth.
Since I started to grow a beard I started to look better 😅 , beard gives me a mean face and a more mature one too, I do lift weight and I'm black , but Man the beard made all difference when it comes to beauty and stile
I’m 100% Team Beard and here’s why. Round one: I was in the military for 29 years and as soon as I got out I grew my beard however I don’t let my hair on top get too long. 🤨 Shaving become a chore where a beard became just like jewelry or a hairstyle. It’s an accessory. Round two: I am now in a leadership position in a corporate environment and a well-maintained beard shows that you care where a wild or unruly beard may portray that you are more concerned with being unique. Round three: Once I grew my beard out, my wife will not let me shave it off. Round four: shaving takes more time as this is a daily requirement where good beard maintenance can be once a week or less depending on the style and level of manscaping. Last notes, A face with no hair is just your face but a face with hair is like a canvas that you can design a work of art of your own. Round five: all of the comments on the beard heroes in movie icons were spot on. In the past a clean shaven face was the thing. Now a beard rocks it! Round six: in the past hygiene was not an easy thing to maintain. Now there are more soaps and body cleansers than you could ever count with all of your fingers toes your neighbors fingers and toes. Round seven: growing a beard is not an easy thing to do. Some have problems with razor bumps and itchy and others can’t shave because of serious skin irritation. Final thought: Antonio, give it a try. Fight through that 1st tough week and see how it’s received. I bet you’ll be surprised. 😳
I grew my first beard over the last few months. My wife and kids have told me they never want me to take it off. I take as much time to groom the beard as I did shaving. I started a new job this summer and I shaved the beard down to just about nothing. My boss was actually a little upset that I took it off. I have had more comments and compliments on my look now than I ever have in my life. So, as long as you are clean and it shows through your appearance, it is a good thing. I am going for the Santa Claus look this year and have a fan club now.
Except many of you conformist lack much knowledge. No amount of beard will make a MALE a true MAN of VALOR wisdom, or principle. You simple minded sheep really believe you are fooling ppl privy to your self validation and trend following. “Makes you wise”, stop ✋
After I got out the military I went the beard route. I’ve been out about 13 years now and I’m finally started to shave every week. It’s been actually really nice .
From my experience I haven't seen any difference. I been shaved clean, having only mustache having a big beard and I still get women. I haven't had any problems. I love that I could change styles and still look good either way.
I’m 52 and have tried all facial hair styles. A short beard takes the least maintenance and looks great most of the time. Long beards take a lot of maintenance at times, and it gets time consuming when you have to comb it every day before leaving the house, but provide the most protection from the sun and the cold. Stubble is cool with low maintenance time, but some chics hate the burn and it can look lazy at certain times. Clean shaven takes a bit of time every day, but is always acceptable and classy, and can make you look the youngest possible as you get older. If your jawline is good, go with clean shaven, stubble or short beard. Weak jawline or double chin, go with medium full beard with low neckline. Outdoors a lot and single, solitary type guy? Let it grow super long My personal fave was the short beard in my 30s, but as the gray comes in I prefer clean shaven. Cheers
i prefer going clean shaven, growing to short stubble, then starting over, I can grow a full beard though, but I don't think I want to commit to the beard look, I am more handsome without it and I don't want my face lost in hair. Kudos to those who commit to the beard look.
At 71yo, I'm told I look several years younger than that. I have a full beard; I haven't shaved since 1988. I spend almost no time looking after it other than washing it when I wash my hair, and trimming it every once in a while when it starts to look scraggly.
I started growing my beard 2 months ago after not having a beard for 15 years and I am very happy with it. I also have noticed many more guys in my area with beards since the pandemic has progressed. I feel alot more confident and comfortable now, and now that it's November I can put together nice outfits that compliment my bearded appearance. and my girlfriend loves it as well. So whats NOT to like ! : )
round 1 - depends on your profession and lifestyle round 2 - properly groomed beard is good round 3 - it depends on the woman, but these days majority of women love beards round 4 - it depends on if you have time to take care of it round 5 - beard round 6 - history is history round 7 - genetics. I agree with Eric I am a die hard beard person. @antonio you should try the beard at least once
I have a full beard. I grew it out of self definition after going blind for a period of time. That said people will go with whichever they have. Be you whatever that may be.
Having had a beard for seven years and being a member of the British Beard Club (of which I’ve met some amazing people) for four years I am now bearded for life. I wear tweed waistcoats, jackets with jeans and a bowler or a top hat which I never wore when I was clean shaven. So I think that my style has also improved and I never got photographed in the street before and now I do plus I do so male modelling! So for me the beard wins and is a keeper. But everyone to their own
I give the first 4 rounds to Antonio and the last 3 to Eric. However, I choose to have a beard...I just love the reactions from people. Most of the compliments come from other men. Most women hate it. But I think it is a good opportunity for people not to judge a person in a harsh light if they choose to have a beard...even an 11 inch beard like I have.
As a beard person I can say that for men the beard is a win. I feel there is a cultural stigma against beards in this country. I get so many questions and conversation starters about my beard. Women get curious about me without a beard but many of the woman I’ve dated loved the beard. It’s a unique quality in man that exudes masculinity which’s draws an appeal Personally the last time I shaved to the skin was around 2013. It felt unnatural to my because of my face shape. Having a rounded face and no hair on my head made me look like a large baby. To this day I’ve kept facial hair as a lifestyle choice. I’ve seen YT videos in reviews of beard products. It took a long time to discover beard balm works best for me to keep it less corse and amazing fragrance. It’s easy to shave but it takes work to grow a beard. When women ask about the beard I like to joke that “A man with a beard is someone you should date. They know how to commit.”
I think a lot of men uses their facial hair to generate a sense of masculinity when in reality some actually look like a manbaby with it, there is nothing more dominating and masculine than a man who can be masculine without any beard, beards don't make you more masculine, men should learn what true masculinity actually is, sadly many don't today.
I will agree with Eric as the winner here. Antonio brings up just as many good points. The deciding factor for me was Eric's choice of the word "default". By default, men have beards. Be yourself, grow yours, and see yourself!
I can't grow a full beard and I used think that I am less of a man, you know plus being shorter that other guys. I learned that it's complete nonsense. You're not better or worse this way or that way. I think Aaron said in his latest video; surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you and that's exactly what you need to do, rather than invest in gillete or grow a beard to attract random people. Have fun if you can grow one, but don't depend your happiness on it.
Clean shaven to me shows that a man grooms and attends his face and he is comfortable under his own skin by showing his full face out there, i always kept my face clean shaven and i wouldn't want it any other way, beards and undercuts are everywhere these days.
I’m ex military and now I like rockin a beard. I keep it shorter. For years when I was a soldier and then a law enforcement officer...a beard was discouraged. Now I enjoy having one.
Please try the beard! I am team beard all the way! In my mid 20s I wanted to be taken seriously, so I grew a beard. Now that I'm 30, I am fully embracing the incoming salt and pepper look.
I don't need a beard to assert my masculinity ! I shave it clean every 2 or 3 days. I have other things to do than caring about my facial hair and to maintain it and to wash it. So for those who think they are more man because of your beautiful beard, good for you !
Sorry I had a beard once but did not enjoy having it. Too much upkeep and I am from a military family so being clean shaven. Though I have attempted to grow it but it felt weird.
For me to keep beard was to accept that I am hairy man so instead of investing in changing that. I learned how to maintain what I have to keep it clean
Ah and something on the topic. I wear a beard for 1 year now and I only got his of it 2 times in this period of time. And I think the Men with Beard won the fight ! But I like both styles, in the end wear what suits your personality better ! Cheers and thanks ! 🥂 🙏
Based on my own experience of being clean shaven and having a short beard ( 1 inch or less ), I do think it's more upkeep & maintenance having a short beard, even if one only trims/perfects it once a week or two. This is because of all the in-between time of regular daily 'inspection' and self-consciousness of getting any food particles in it and maybe being unaware of it while being out. I consider all this a form of maintenance. Shaving for me is no-nonsense, very quick, usually just one pass, sometimes two, and only done every 3 or 4 days or weekly. I don't fuss around with special shaving supplies and just use cheap Bic single-blade cartridge razors and either a decent shave foam (Gillette/Barbasol) spread by hands or Palmolive shave stick soap with a brush. I always get a fantastic shave with these ultra-budget supplies. I love being a frugal shaver I get a kick out of it. Once in a while I grow out the beard for a couple weeks with the intent of growing it out for much longer than that, only to always find myself shaving it off again at roughly the 2 week mark, primarily due to it making my facial complexion appear so much darker which I don't really like. I have very pale white skin and dark dirty blonde facial hair. But on my face the hair may as well be dark brown because I'm so pale. 50% Welsh 50% Swedish genes. I think my favorite look is short stubble ranging between the 5 to 10 day mark.
Practicality and professionalism: I think for most jobs clean shaven is a must. Also if you get into fight your beard may be a deterrent Attraction: I think most women would prefer 3 weeks beard or something. But i prefer the women who don't. Upkeep and care: Its actually harder to maintain clean shaven but easier to manage. Foam and razor. Instead of trimming and some kind of stuff.
I started keeping my face clean shaven since I was 20(late 2019), and here I am in 2022...I rather look myself younger. So far I had a lipstick mark on my right cheek(& my lips) from my mother's coworker(she really likes me btw)(despite the Pandemic) Also being clean shaven is the most important part during the Hair/Glam Metal era(Motley Crue, Poison, GNR, Ratt, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Stryper, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Dokken, Steel Panther, etc.)
Do it. Just show up suddenly with a beard that would be cool. What I like about my beard is that I can easily dress it up by some little trim and beard products, but when I don't need to (for example in quarantine) I can just let it grow for weeks with minimal care (beard oil)
Round 1-Eric Round 2- Eric Round 3-Eric Round 4-Tied since shaving and beard care are ritualistic art style that both gave great arguments over. Round 5- Eric Round 6-Eric Round 7-Eric Sorry Antonio, you had some good stats and historical knowledge but Eric won this debate.
Me personally I like growing a beard I feel more manly and handsome when i grow my a beard. It doesn’t matter if you are clean shaven or have a beard. It matters if you take good care of my yourself and looking well groomed as a man
Beards all the way man! When I was in my early 20s, I was in a job where I needed to train new starters quite often. Some of these people were over twice my age, sometimes with more experience in the field but unfamiliar with our practices and protocols. I originally started growing my beard as this made me look older and gave me more authority - baby face problems! In every job since, I have had to train my peers and the beard is something that I believe makes a difference. Also makes a difference when talking to new colleagues in other teams I believe. Now in my 30s with 4 year old, and I've kept the beard permanently (almost) since he was born. I shaved last year for Movember (No-shave November), and my son's reaction was hilarious! I still have the baby face, with some added wrinkles. Going to keep the beard, probably for the rest of my life. This was my experience though, in the UK. As a brown, bearded dude, I am fairly certain some people are wary of me, but you know what - screw them!
I have to say Eric wins. Every woman I’ve met likes a little facial hair, sometimes a lot of facial hair. I can’t grow a beard. I had bad acne in high school and have a patchy beard in general. All that said, beards irritate the hell out of me. There’s always rogue hairs that bother my face and that makes me not want to deal with it. So I shave.
Round 1: Eric Round 2: Eric Round 3: Draw (I felt like they were agreeing with each other) Round 4: Draw (both made strong points and it basically comes down to preference) Round 5: Eric (forgot to mention 300: the manliest movie of all time) Round 6: Eric Round 7: Eric Obviously, I sport a beard. And that’s my own preference!! I respect everyone’s opinions and choices when it comes to beards, including Antonio!! Bro, you rock the clean-shaven look damn well and I don’t think any real man would tell you otherwise!! Ultimately I resonate with the point that Eric made in the final round: It all comes down to loving yourself. The only way to develop real confidence is by starting with loving the person looking back at you in the mirror. Love yourself enough to admit your faults to yourself and love yourself enough to take action on the things that are actionable. Love yourself enough to be the man that you are, and love yourself enough to be the man you know you can be.
hah! Once in college, I tried not shaving for 4 weeks. All I got was patchy facial hair. Though, I don't have the ability to grow a full beard, I think it would be great to be able to have the option of going either with a beard or without a beard to keep things dynamic.
The title says "Beard or no beard, which is better on man" Well I would say, the one that makes you feel good, that makes you feel confident is better. There's no "vs" between the two. There's no competition. Cheers 🍻👍
Personally I hate shaving. My skin always feel sensitized and irritated afterwards. Since when I decided to grow my beard it's been so much easier and my skin underneath feels healthier. Of course there's the awkward phase, but it is worth It when you get there
I got in to men's style because of RMRS way back 2015. I learned the basics of a solid wardrobe, accessories, etc. As my style evolved, I watched more of Beardbrand as I started growing a beard 2017. Overall, I think there is balance how to be stylish and rugged rocking a beard. Depends how you carry it and most of the time, a pleasing personality really changes the whole notion of being intimidating or aggressive. Beard or no beard, we work with what we have. I follow Eric's beard tips and Antonio's style tips. So much respect to these two for their contribution to the men's style community.
Absolutely antonio, i would love to see you grow a beard! As you mentioned you can grow it in a way that works with your facial type! I think giving it a try when we're all in quarentine will be really nice! I know pleanty of other gentlemen would love to see how your beard looks!
People tell me to shave but I feel I look odd and worse when I don't got a beard. But I can't grow a proper beard. It's patchy. I'm not sure if I should embrace my baby face or try being macho. I am trying to lose weight and get more attractive. Hard to figure out lol
Practicality: Eric won, since a lot of people aren't exactly from the armed forces or work in an environment that needs their face to be air tight Professionalism: I'd call this a draw, both the gentlemen provided us very good Information and both are correct in their own ways. So let me make it a little more clear, if you're someone who works in an environment that works with people, like sales, shop keepings, small business then go clean shaven as it looks professional. If you're leading a team, like management and Actually owning the businesses and shops then go for a beard Attraction: this is a very open concept. Every woman has a different choice, some girls prefer clean shaven men, others prefer heavy beards. And it's not about women, even men have different opinions on beards. Some think they're cool and badass other think they're aggressive so I call this a tie again since this is a very wide topic and everyone has different opinions Upkeep and care: Antonio won here, he's right that shaving is very easy nowadays since you can just grab a razon and do your buisness. You don't have to use a double blade cartridge razor like your grandfather did. Beard they take mentaining, but tbh it depends on what type of beard you're growing. If you're growing for a shorter beard yeah it may not be that difficult but if you want a big beard like Australian comedian Isaac Butterfield's beard then yeah it requires a lot of care. Beard oil, beard shampoo, dryer, then keeping the shape you want to keep, it is a lot of work Style icons from movies: Eric wins here because almost every actor keeps a beard for a specific role. Whether it's the rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, brad pitt, Johnny depp, Jason Statham. But there are exceptions for both the sides. And heros with beards tend to really dominate the scenes. Like thor, Aquaman, capt America, any Jason Statham movie etc Historical significance: it really depends on your culture, in my country India beards weren't something everyone had. However we are EXTREMELY famous for our mustaches, even till this date, if you look at Soldiers from any rajput, Maratha or sikh regiments from the Indian army you'll notice the amazing styles of mustaches, similar to Europe where men also rocked mustaches both small (England, Italy, spain, france) mustaches or huge mustaches (germany, Russia, Austria. Or basically any Nordic country) unlike the USA where historical figures were clean shaven (most of the times) Individualism: both win here. Tbh I agree a lot of people feel confident while having a beard, and at the end of the day it is about you as a person. If you like being clean shaven, go ahead bud, if you feel confident in a beard. Go for it. Really it depends on you as an individual My opinion: if you like a beard you can keep it, however just remember that it WILL BE a lot of effort in order to understand what goes with your face, to mentain that, to feel confident in it. If you don't want to work a lot then go clean shaven, but if you want to be in a middle ground then keep a mustache
Yes grow a beard 🧔🏻 let’s see this transformation. I have been growing my beard for so long I don’t remember the last time I shaved 🪒. But Antonio do it cause you will be surprised at what you see you might even like it or not but you’ll never know if you don’t try.
This was fun! I can't say I'm on one side or the other. I let my beard grow when my shaves were no longer consistently close, I developed a "turkey neck", and I wanted to draw attention from my bald head. It would be interesting to see Antonio with a beard. How long a beard I leave to him. Eric can tell you beard oil eliminates scratchiness, your wife will tell you if it is acceptable.
According to me .. without beard that person looks cute and clean and with a beard he look tough and manly so keeping the beard or not will be up to which they prefer .. I love beard
I work in a very corporate environment and I'm supposed to be the successor to my boss. I've found that since growing a beard I've been taken much more seriously, as less of an 'assistant' and often I am the first addressed in the room not my boss. The adding years and wisdom thing is real. I don't need to maintain it much to look smart, but having really curly hair my skin always struggled being clean shaven daily. Often took me a long time washing and applying products etc.
Late teens and 20's I used to only grow a Goatee, keeping the rest of the face clean shaven, then after a few weeks shave it all off and stay clean shaven for a few weeks. From mid 30's to early 40's, I haven't had a clean shave in years and can on occasion really let it grow out. I like it because a number of people have said I look a bit like Leonardo DiCaprio with facial hair, I would like to think they mean Inception, but they probably mean The Revenant.
when i was in my 20's my aunt hated beards so i couldn't have a beard then for 40 years at work men couldn't have facial hair.after my boss retired he grew a beard which looked ok 5 years later my boss and i had lunch i did looking about beards i found imformation about beard care. for 6 months i have a circle beard which my wife hates in the begining now she is starting to like .keeping my beard short i like.i still learning about beard care.
If somebody wants to rock a beard, then more power to them. I do hope that the clean shave remains an option, though, as I was born with a cleft lip, and nothing will grow over the area where it was surgically grafted together, so beards aren't really an option for me.
From painful experience I can attest that growing a beard definitely requires a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Not to mention the high cost of beard oils and waxes. It is so much faster to just do a quick shave every day or two. Plus as far as I am concerned, being clean-shaven feels so much better and cleaner. Don't even get me started about eating and drinking with a beard. The beareded dude claims that is not an issue if you trim it properly. I call bullshit! Regardless of how neatly trimmed and cropped my beard was, it always managed to catch pretty much anything I ate or drank. My girlfriend always complained that it was scratchy against her sensitive skin, especially down there. I used all the expensive beard products to keep my beard moisturized and healthy. In the end, it was all a huge waste of money, at least in my case. What I do not hear Eric saying is that the majority of beards thin with age, it is a natural process. When I was in my forties. my beard was pretty thick and lush. Around the age of 55 it began to noticibly thin and show bald spots. My doctor said that is quite common because men produce less DHT as they age, and that is the hormone required to grow a beard. There may be some treatments available to help with that, but they are also expensive and not guaranteed to work. My biggest annoyance with bearded men in general, is how so many of them create an entire identity out of fucking facial hair, which is basically just pubes on your chin! I could care less what other men do with their face, just stop with the stupid comments about clean shaven men being women and other childish remarks. Lastly, take anything Eric Bandholz says about beards with a healthy grain of salt, as he is in the business of selling beard products. In the end, having a beard or remaining clean shaven is a personal choice, and that I can respect. Please just do not allow the facial fur to be the only thing you identify with. Having said all this, clean shaven gets my vote!

Antonio, this vídeo was awesome!!! You both are two giants of men style. It was like a Godzilla vs King Kong fight. I loved the video!!!
You can start no shave November
CLEAN SHAVEN ALL THE WAY!!!!
So the Van Dyke is with me until the end.
since im 23 and bald, i grew some facial hair as a balance, and personally i feel as a bald man who likes to wear hats , beards enhances the look
Absolutely . Being bold one needs facial hare not to look glossy and cold like a reptile. There is warmth to hair that we need to have. I'm bold too. Even a goatee is too little hair for me to have that warmth.
I’m not bald, but a thing that looks cool on bald dudes are beards that are not too big + a good fitting and a good looking cap
Looks good on you👍
I’m actually not but I shave my hair off and grow a beard just because I like the look
soy
Antonio I always love our time together. You're such an inspiration for the community and very grateful for our chats. Beard or no beard, it doesn't matter; what matters is you invest in yourself. Keep on growing!
Great discussion, Eric! Thanks.
Well said brother for us Men that cant grow beards lol.

Well I can certainly tell you which is better ON women.

Obviously beards are better 😉

Antonio - Grow a beard!! Lets see how it turns out
Agreed 100 ..
100% do it!
That would be great!

He doesn’t need one
Team beard here! I didn't think it would look good but I did a yeard and I get compliments all the time, mine curls like a Greek god.
Grow the beard don't touch it and power through it and let it flow!
Being clean shaven or maintained short stubble is a great way to stand out with confidence, especially if you have a sharp jaw line and strong chin. I work in a very professional office, and almost every single guy has a beard. In this post pandemic world, being clean shaven is the definitely the way to stand out, and also having a beard doesn't make you 'manlier'. It's all what makes you comfortable
Having a beard doesn't make you manlier but it makes you look manlier
A well groomed beard looks great
I love having a beard.
Amen. Why pick when you can have all, right?

Here's my take:
- Clean shaven: You appear more trustworthy, younger, cleaner, more conservative.
I couldn't agree with you more. A well-maintained beard just adds so much depth to a man.
I’m 100% Team Beard and here’s why.
Round one: I was in the military for 29 years and as soon as I got out I grew my beard however I don’t let my hair on top get too long. 🤨
Shaving become a chore where a beard became just like jewelry or a hairstyle.
And now do you have a long beard or not? In the photo i see you haven't.
A man is only as great as the beard that wears him.
A full and healthy beard carries with it a sense of great honour, and wisdom. Also crumbs.
No. Actually that’s a fetish of all you just said

Do us all a favour, and look up "humour." Then, maybe you will understand my original comment.
grow a beard & learn to drive a stick, or you aint worth shit, kiddo@@neox9369
After I got out the military I went the beard route. I’ve been out about 13 years now and I’m finally started to shave every week. It’s been actually really nice .
From my experience I haven't seen any difference. I been shaved clean, having only mustache having a big beard and I still get women. I haven't had any problems. I love that I could change styles and still look good either way.
I agree with Eric. I started growing a beard a month ago after shaving for 45 years. I love having not to shave and girls love the salt and pepper.
I've been having this debate in my head for years so I just do both. I let it grow for 6 to 8 weeks and then completely shave.
Let it grow super long
My personal fave was the short beard in my 30s, but as the gray comes in I prefer clean shaven.
Cheers
i prefer going clean shaven, growing to short stubble, then starting over, I can grow a full beard though, but I don't think I want to commit to the beard look, I am more handsome without it and I don't want my face lost in hair.
round 1 - depends on your profession and lifestyle

I am a die hard beard person. @antonio you should try the beard at least once
Is it only beard, or facial hair? I just have a facial hair under my chin, but I trim it so it looks good on me, makes me kinda mature looking🇵🇭

As a lawyer, beard helps, it gives you an edge when you are young and they don't trust you because you are young, it gives you experience points

I’ve rocked a beard 🧔 before but I just prefer the clean shaven look plus it makes me look younger.
As a beard person I can say that for men the beard is a win. I feel there is a cultural stigma against beards in this country. I get so many questions and conversation starters about my beard. Women get curious about me without a beard but many of the woman I’ve dated loved the beard. It’s a unique quality in man that exudes masculinity which’s draws an appeal
Personally the last time I shaved to the skin was around 2013.
I grow my beard because of medical history-black male ingrown facial hair; painful and unsightly!
not to mention the discoloration that happens from constanly shaving
I like erics beard. I have a face and beard wash. When I grow one I'm using beard wash. And some sideburns. And my hair grows it out, more
I can't grow a full beard and I used think that I am less of a man, you know plus being shorter that other guys.
I grew a beard everyone even my daughter said it aged me 😞 down to Jason statham stuble now 💪🏻
I’m ex military and now I like rockin a beard.
Shaving your face makes as little sense as shaving your eyebrows. But that was a great conversation!
Ah and something on the topic. I wear a beard for 1 year now and I only got his of it 2 times in this period of time.
And I think the Men with Beard won the fight !
But I like both styles, in the end wear what suits your personality better !
Cheers and thanks ! 🥂 🙏
I thinks its the fact that not everyone can grow one, that makes it more dichotomy
Also if you get into fight your beard may be a deterrent
Attraction: I think most women would prefer 3 weeks beard or something.
So far I had a lipstick mark on my right cheek(& my lips) from my mother's coworker(she really likes me btw)(despite the Pandemic)
Also being clean shaven is the most important part during the Hair/Glam Metal era(Motley Crue, Poison, GNR, Ratt, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Stryper, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Dokken, Steel Panther, etc.)

Me personally I like growing a beard I feel more manly and handsome when i grow my a beard. It doesn’t matter if you are clean shaven or have a beard. It matters if you take good care of my yourself and looking well groomed as a man
No beard for me I’m afraid I have attempted to grow a beard many times over the years and I can’t get beyond 2 weeks. The itching gets on my nervous.
You probably can’t grow one 😭 that’s a phase add beard oil
It depends on your facial features. Some people look good with a beard and some without. Personally I look dumb with a beard. So clean shaven for me.
I LOVE the way you did the intro at the beginning!
The music starts while you are talking and then the intro starts! Amazing!
My husband shaves his head now. I like it a lot but never thought I would. He is usually clean shaven but I prefer a two day stubble on him.
Also both of you have such valid points I think it really just depends on the person's style, mood, etc.
Hmm, that is some quality content, very important in these days, because a lot of gentlemen have grown neat beards during lockdown.
I rock a glorious beard myself-However The slight mullet look Eric has is having me rethink Antonio’s position....
So I shave.
I'm with you bro cant grow a beard but atleast we have a good set of hair to rock lol.

Obviously, I sport a beard.
Well put Michael.
hah! Once in college, I tried not shaving for 4 weeks. All I got was patchy facial hair. Though, I don't have the ability to grow a full beard, I think it would be great to be able to have the option of going either with a beard or without a beard to keep things dynamic.
Even a patchy beard will become full after some months....next time try growing it for 4months instead 😎
That’s not long enough lol
The title says "Beard or no beard, which is better on man"
Well I would say, the one that makes you feel good, that makes you feel confident is better. There's no "vs" between the two. There's no competition. Cheers 🍻👍
Personally I hate shaving. My skin always feel sensitized and irritated afterwards. Since when I decided to grow my beard it's been so much easier and my skin underneath feels healthier. Of course there's the awkward phase, but it is worth It when you get there
I'm always team no beard, but beards look awesome on lots of guys too, totally personal preference:))
Currently thinking whether to shave the lockdown beard or not. 🤔
Beard working hard to look effortless.
Shaved is clean, Type A. I go shaved I like a clean workspace.
Beard Is The Most Beautiful Gift You Gave Your Face 🖤
Absolutely antonio, i would love to see you grow a beard! As you mentioned you can grow it in a way that works with your facial type! I think giving it a try when we're all in quarentine will be really nice! I know pleanty of other gentlemen would love to see how your beard looks!
I have a beard and will have one now for rest of my life no matter what it's better in my opinion
I was entertained by this episode as well ! Proper job and greetings from Germany ! 🇩🇪
People tell me to shave but I feel I look odd and worse when I don't got a beard. But I can't grow a proper beard. It's patchy. I'm not sure if I should embrace my baby face or try being macho. I am trying to lose weight and get more attractive. Hard to figure out lol
Practicality: Eric won, since a lot of people aren't exactly from the armed forces or work in an environment that needs their face to be air tight
Professionalism: I'd call this a draw, both the gentlemen provided us very good Information and both are correct in their own ways. So let me make it a little more clear, if you're someone who works in an environment that works with people, like sales, shop keepings, small business then go clean shaven as it looks professional. If you're leading a team, like management and Actually owning the businesses and shops then go for a beard
Attraction: this is a very open concept. Every woman has a different choice, some girls prefer clean shaven men, others prefer heavy beards. And it's not about women, even men have different opinions on beards. Some think they're cool and badass other think they're aggressive so I call this a tie again since this is a very wide topic and everyone has different opinions
Upkeep and care: Antonio won here, he's right that shaving is very easy nowadays since you can just grab a razon and do your buisness. Beard oil, beard shampoo, dryer, then keeping the shape you want to keep, it is a lot of work
Style icons from movies: Eric wins here because almost every actor keeps a beard for a specific role. Whether it's the rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, brad pitt, Johnny depp, Jason Statham. But there are exceptions for both the sides. And heros with beards tend to really dominate the scenes. Like thor, Aquaman, capt America, any Jason Statham movie etc
Historical significance: it really depends on your culture, in my country India beards weren't something everyone had. Or basically any Nordic country) unlike the USA where historical figures were clean shaven (most of the times)
Individualism: both win here. Tbh I agree a lot of people feel confident while having a beard, and at the end of the day it is about you as a person. If you like being clean shaven, go ahead bud, if you feel confident in a beard. Go for it. Really it depends on you as an individual
My opinion: if you like a beard you can keep it, however just remember that it WILL BE a lot of effort in order to understand what goes with your face, to mentain that, to feel confident in it. If you don't want to work a lot then go clean shaven, but if you want to be in a middle ground then keep a mustache
What's loco is that you didn't mention him mentioning being an occult leader at all, in that long as heck memo you just wrote.

Despite what the beardos say, clean shaven will always be in style.
I had a seven month beard and forced to shave it for medical reasons... Worse day of my life... Soon to start growing again!
Beards no, facial hair have always been with me , they are our closest companions and any man that can grow one should. Eric won
Guys this was a awesome show, but i go with my beard with good style go with anything
It depends, Muslims see clean shaven men as women and even treat them as such
@@latinsho11 Who gives a shit what Muslims think about anything?
