I haven't watched Simpleflips before 2016, I've watched the original vod and yeah he sounds different and more shy but that clip; I have NEVER heard Simpleflips have that tone of voice and it might be the best Tomoko impression I have ever heard. The context is a perfect setup for a Tomoko moment too: He's streaming (likely with not a lot of viewers back then?) and one of the few randoms there type out a weird comment that he reads and goes along with to seem funny/cool. some of my fav simple moments are the smaller ones where he talks with chat but I never clipped them :') one of them was in ttt where I think it was maris talking with him or some other regular that was there asking for advice bc they were stressed out about something and he said "well, maybe it's worse than you actually think it is" and then that was it LMAO and they said in chat that that was not reassuring at all 😭 another was also in ttt where someone was asking for advice on self improvement and simple was all like "well you can definitely always strive to be one of the best but not better than me of course, but second best is still good, just not quite first" idk how he does it tbh that man is the funniest guy alive.
