I always loved halo 3 as a kid, the Elephant easter eggs was one of the first ones I discovered besides the Monkey family in 117. This game was full of so many little details I was always coming back to it
I love Carter's quote, because it means that Noble Six Canonically just stares at people randomly, and considering the Spartan III's, it actually comes off pretty logical and surprisingly understandable personality tick given the lore behind them. Also I remember finding the MAC Cannon in Halo 4, me and a bunch of old clan mates had found it just fucking around in the campaign. Good days...
@@mitchmitting102 I thought they said MAC gun. It's been a bit since I played Halo 2, but I remember them talking about them like guns. Possibly different in other games.
Not really an Easter egg, and it might be pretty well known, but my favorite weird thing I showed my friends was how the plasma repeater's reticle in Reach would eventually freak out and expand, and then just freeze in its idle position if you had bottomless clip on. None of the other guns would do that.
Better yet, did you know the sniper rifle’s reticle bloom grew slowly with each shot if fired as fast as possible, which only became noticeable with bottomless clip on. After a few dozen shots, it would effectively fire shots randomly within a large circle, like an unscoped sniper rifle CoD.
The Carter line is even funnier, as during the opening cutscene he did claim he read everything about Noble 6 including censored information. So he canonically would know.
Another thing with Carter and I've only been able to find it using the skull that allows rare dialogue to become more common on the first mission: if you run over animals like Emu or some enemies, he says "Yep, that's going in your file". Not sure how many know of it. I've never heard it before.
Back before the map backwash relased, Chris Carney the multiplayer map designer got my friends and I from highimpacthalo to basically break the maps to find faults. We eneded up finding this text while getting outside all those years ago.
Another interesting thing about the Halo 4 MAC turrets, they don't actually work properly anymore, if you go watch them in that mission in mcc now they do not fire and there are no firing effects which is a shame as i loved watching them, hopefully by submitting bug reports things like this that got broken will eventually get fixed

There was one oddity that happened only once when I played Halo on Legendary in The Library. It only ever happened once and could never replicate it again but there was a Scorpion Tank that spawned in the second half of the level. I could never find anyone else reporting this ever happening.
If this was on PC, maybe you had a mod installed (there's a lot of alternative campaign mods that are on the same maps but with different e.g. guns, etc.)? If it was on the original Xbone, then it was probably just an alternative universe leaking through the fabric of time itself. What's weird is that I also have a memory of a scorpion in the Library, but it's very distant, I don't know if it was from a mod that I played or just something that I thought would be nice to be in some mod... or if it was something else that would be more mysterious..

Another fun fact about Chief being called demon, in H2 sometimes you might be called demon while playing as the arbiter. I don't recall if I ever had that happen when I was a kid, but I'm currently in a playthrough of MCC and had gotten that voice line from an elite on The Arbiter.
In Halo 1, in Assault in the control room, at the start using Acrophobia skull or getting lucky with the pelican(how i and my friend discovered) if you land in the first plataform with extrudin points where it starts the fog, if you hug the wall in one point in concrete you can hear siegue of madrigal (is between 2 of the 5 extruding parts) . This may not be obscure, but I was replaying Halo 3 with the "Realistic" Rebalance mod, killed a kig-yar, and then an unggoy on the floor above said "nice knowin' ya, jackass!" I played all the classics repeatedly over the course of several years, always on Legendary, since the day they came out. The midi theme on Crows Nest flew right over me. I literally fuck around with the marines on that mission and I sit around in the control room for 45 minutes while having a firefight with the marines. I guess I never heard the beeping due to the constant yelling and bullets being fired.
The Halo 4 Mac Cannon part makes me think that they're a cut concept for that level, like we were supposed to use a mac cannon for something, but it was scrapped, but not removed from the game.
Great video, well researched, well presented, and you actually got me with some of these - I never knew about the server music in Crow's Nest, that's mad. Crazy to think I've played that level dozens of times and never heard it!
I knew a good chunk of these already. Only ones I didn't know about were the dancing grunts in Halo 4, and the wind rock. So you at least did teach me something new.
I like to interpret us staring at allies as a canon side effect to the two hyper lethal spartans has where they enter a 100 yard stare of sorts that has them calculate the many ways to kill a living being, almost like Michael Myers stalking his prey in a motionless trance.

Hectic i saw the speaker while exploring in spartan ops and never thought to shoot it 😂 also the carter voice line saying your file mentioned this seems like its because players regularly stand looking at npc's to hear their random voice lines and bungie halos emphasized that the person playing was inside the armour
About the one where Noble 6 stares at Carter, every character has several different types of quips when that happens. A Villainous Toaster made a video about it.

Those glyphs on Reach always stood out to me, I knew they had to be some sort of Easter egg.
i love the bluboyfin nod because I just finished his pokemon series and watching this intro for sure weired me out haha "oh you did? good" just too catch phrase-y
The midi theme on Crows Nest flew right over me. I literally fuck around with the marines on that mission and I sit around in the control room for 45 minutes while having a firefight with the marines. I guess I never heard the beeping due to the constant yelling and bullets being fired.
I run into this problem a lot where I know the 10 facts that I "didn't" know. Thanks.
7:41 His name is General Heed! Lol
Glad to see I made it in your video! Im Under BE
The Halo 4 Mac Cannon part makes me think that they're a cut concept for that level, like we were supposed to use a mac cannon for something, but it was scrapped, but not removed from the game.
I'm just glad people still play halo lol.
I remember cramming 16 people in a tiny apartment yelling at each other playing halo 2
Great video, well researched, well presented, and you actually got me with some of these - I never knew about the server music in Crow's Nest, that's mad. Crazy to think I've played that level dozens of times and never heard it!
I only found out very recently about the Lucky Loonie in snowbound & also Lance's ghost knocking against the shutters on H2's Ivory Tower.
Nowise! Omg thankyou for reminding about him. I LOVED watching his Mod videos growing up
I actually didn't know most of these, I was pleasantly surprised
You got me so good!! I was pissed for the first 20 seconds lmao great vid
I KNEW IT (pokemon facts video)
I was going to comment how I love that he starts with that intro and it made me appreciate this one more
Shoutout to all the tiny warning stickers in Halo 2 Anniversary
RVBs Easter eggs will always be my favorite, but these were definitely some new ones!
And here I was thinking I was well informed on halo Easter eggs when the only one I knew here was Carter’s voice line towards Six
The “why am I here” carving in the rocks, in halo 2, it just a red vs blue reference to, “ ever wonder why we’re here?”
finally some easter eggs i didn't know
15:20 ohh we will be going down a Marathon rabbit hole? I'll make the popcorn
Very interesting easter eggs! I can confirm indeed I knew just a few, its amazing to find out about this others so many years later. Awesome content, cheers!
I could have been Jason Morelli, it just didn't happen
I definitely knew all of these. You can trust me, my dad works for Halo.
Oh bro, your dad works at Halo? No way, mine too!
Think he gets halo is the game and not the company that his dad would say he works for?.
6:19 halo 3 warthog outline...maybe I'm just blind or slow, but I'm not seeing any resemblances
I definitely remember watching a video on Easter eggs in Halo 3 that mentioned the first one at some point, although I couldn't tell you which it was as it would have been many years ago.
On halo 3 in the mission Sierra 117, the fish in the water ping on the radar as friendlies. Might be an Easter Egg reference to Finding Nemo where fish are friends
Awesome vid and finds ! I wish you made this one along with Generalkidd, sharing his finds with yours would be so cool to hear and watch !
I still vividly remember the night discovering the text when flipping the elephant, it was at a sleepover and we were playing forge, eating snacks, and watching tv.
When I played Halo 3 on MCC a few years ago, I played one match on sandtrap big team battle, and we got both elephants to flip over. It was so fun
"Your file mentioned this" YES! Ive heard it before. Pure accident. I wasnt trying to annoy Carter, I was AFK texting my gf and I just happened to be looking at him.
Great list, I only knew of one!
11:32 I’ve played Halo since Combat Evolved and was consciously self-aware that I wasn’t even excited to watch this trailer after the highly lack lustre multiplayer game content to date. So it was good to be pleasantly surprised😱with new content for Halo Infinite 🤞🏼 Let’s Hope there is more to come !
I came into this video on my high horse thinking I’ll know every thing this man is about to say, but I’ll watch it anyways because I love ole Rock Slot. Then to my surprise, the very first one he says I had no idea of, and safe to say, the majority of them I didn’t know about. So if anyone needs me I’ll be down here on my little mongoose minding my own business.
Great video! Didn't know a lot of these.
The "It's looking a little rough out here" gives me the same vibe as the end of a Cowboy Bebop episode...
Also, all of these have been known for years, but thank you for unlocking memories!
Was happy too see the blue boy intro
Master chief has peaked. He can flip a freaking elephant 😂 hilarious. Nice video,
Keep up the good wirk
Edit: work not wirk
Have you ever talked about the moon on halo 3’s warthog run it’s a skull of chief? Pretty common but I never see anyone cover it!
Now im gunna have to check that out. I have never noticed it and ive logged over 600 hrs on the campaign alone.
6:27 looks like more people than u think didnt know about this since its the most replayed part of the video and i too did not know this and 3 is my favorite halo game ever!
