If anyone was looking for a comparison between these two specific air filters, here's a video doing just that, check it out! th-cam.com/video/70xwzSJ5dNU/w-d-xo.html
For people watching in the fiture there is a trick if you have no friends. At 2:12 he shows you the hinge he touches the hinge lock and Iguess doesn't realize what it is for. If you pull your hinge bolt out, then slide the tank a bit forward, (or left at the angle in the video) then turn turn your tank to 90° you can slide the tank back to the hinge that green tab he is touching will go under the black slot behind it and it will hold itself up even if the tank is full of gas.
Well made video. You got right to the point and thats the way it should be. Awesome! The thing I like about my 19' ZX6 is that you use the key to remove the seat. Makes it way easier.
NinjaPig yeah I can just use my key to take the seat off and there is a little cable to take the rear seat off. Love that. Your bike looks awesome and having to use tools to take the seat off doesn’t make it any less.
"if you're like me, you don't have a lot of friends" why you gotta make me feel bad man. lol. Good vid. I'm going to be performing this soon. how many miles did you change it at?
I chose to go with the higher airflow one to help me when i tune the Air and Fuel ratios, and from what i can tell (I'm just some guy on the internet, results not guaranteed) it helped the bike maintain the desired ratio a lot better than it did with the stock filter. TL;DR: Yes.
NinjaPig hi man nice bike I have the same just just the 30th anniversary edition looking to replace my airfilter did you go for the standard replacement k and n or the race k and n. Was the bike any better for it
09civsi I got the Race filter, allows a lot more air flow than stock. But keep in mind it's weaker so if somehow a bad rock or something gets through it could penetrate the filter and could potentially cause some damage. I can make a video comparing the two if you'd like, I'm also getting it dyno'd this week.

Thank you for the tip, I already changed my air filter but I will try that the next time around.

Really? That's awesome! That's my one main gripe about mine. Do you still have to take the side fairings off? or just pop the seat right off?

Hey man great video, filmed and narrated very well. Thank you for the walkthrough. Made me feel more confident changing mine out myself.
I was trying to do it on a '12 and that darn center screw was eluding me. Thanks for putting this out there.
LazyEye no problem man! Glad I could help!
Very informative and helpful. About About do mine and this is what I'll follow. Thanks!
