Little late in uploading this, but this is some footage from my first track day at Grattan Raceway in MI. Doing 2-3 more this fall hopefully and I’ll try to get some footage from that as well. Enjoy! Also apologies for the crappy sound noise, forgot to change the settings on the GoPro before I went out.

    For people watching in the fiture there is a trick if you have no friends. At 2:12 he shows you the hinge he touches the hinge lock and Iguess doesn't realize what it is for. If you pull your hinge bolt out, then slide the tank a bit forward, (or left at the angle in the video) then turn turn your tank to 90° you can slide the tank back to the hinge that green tab he is touching will go under the black slot behind it and it will hold itself up even if the tank is full of gas.

    Hey quick question, i’m having oil leakage on the right side of my ‘12 zx6r. Any idea if it could be due to over filling oil as there’s no bubble on the sight gauge and it’s filled to the top. If it helps it’s coming from the motor area.

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be two lines on the oil peep sight, and want to keep it between them. Make sure to run it for a couple minutes, then stand the bike upright (not on the kickstand) and check it. If you can’t see any air or it’s above the top line I would drain some oil out. Also check your oil filter to make sure it’s screwed in all the way. Hope this helps!

      Thanks! Happy to help. Different oil types have different life spans. I change mine once a season at the beginning of the year and I’ve never had any issues over the 7 years I’ve had it. I say if you change it once a year you’re good to go!

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did the first one myself. It was a little tough since it's really tucked in there, and to be honest can't remember exactly how i got it off. I think i used some sort of rubber band type tool to get enough grip on it to twist it off. If you can't get anything else to work you can always just stab it with a screwdriver, and twist it that way. Just a bit messy that way.

    Well made video. You got right to the point and thats the way it should be. Awesome! The thing I like about my 19' ZX6 is that you use the key to remove the seat. Makes it way easier.

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? That's awesome! That's my one main gripe about mine. Do you still have to take the side fairings off? or just pop the seat right off?

    • @jayholt2101
      @jayholt2101 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      NinjaPig yeah I can just use my key to take the seat off and there is a little cable to take the rear seat off. Love that. Your bike looks awesome and having to use tools to take the seat off doesn’t make it any less.

      Getting the OEM one off at first is a pain i agree, but I don't think it's as bad as some other bikes. My friends Yamaha and Suzuki both have to take fairings off to access theirs. Once you get the stock one off and put a K&N one on it's a breeze after that!

    Ah the trusty nerf football. That's gonna be your trademark lol 👍great videos! Does the K&N make a difference in sound with acceleration and idle? Is the exhaust sound and different and lastly how is the throttle response in comparison to stock?

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol until I get a shop buddy! Thanks man, and i haven't noticed anything as far as sound or idle, but it definitely gives the bike some more acceleration since it allows some more air to get through. To get the most out of it I'd highly recommend a tune of some sort if you can get one!

    I heard that with the race filter it requires a tune for fuel management do you have a tune or are you stock and not have any issues?

    • @TheNextGreatGamer
      @TheNextGreatGamer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SHADOWXWOLF_STUNTZ I wouldn’t say it requires one but it definitely helps if you get one, especially with the race filter. I do have my bike tuned and haven’t had any issues with the tune or filter so far, and it’s been a little over a year

    Any noticeable difference with the new filter?

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I chose to go with the higher airflow one to help me when i tune the Air and Fuel ratios, and from what i can tell (I'm just some guy on the internet, results not guaranteed) it helped the bike maintain the desired ratio a lot better than it did with the stock filter. TL;DR: Yes.

      NinjaPig hi man nice bike I have the same just just the 30th anniversary edition looking to replace my airfilter did you go for the standard replacement k and n or the race k and n. Was the bike any better for it

    • @ninjapig8380
      @ninjapig8380 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      09civsi I got the Race filter, allows a lot more air flow than stock. But keep in mind it's weaker so if somehow a bad rock or something gets through it could penetrate the filter and could potentially cause some damage. I can make a video comparing the two if you'd like, I'm also getting it dyno'd this week.
