- Today we will make a Persephone doll in her Goddess of Spring appearance out of a Monster High doll. We will reroot the doll's hair, draw a new doll face and make a lot of accessories for her + some gifts from Hades :-)

A really fun challenge would be Hekate, Greek Goddess of Witchcraft Crossroads and Ghosts. She’s said to be Persephone’s attendant and confidant while she is in the Underworld during winter. Hekate is traditionally shown with 3 faces (because she can see the past, present, & future all at once) which would be a fun challenge to make into a doll form.

Now that you did Persophone can you please do Demeter next! She is such an underrated goddess and her story is amazing. Also I think she deserves to be portrayed more and who else can make her better than you and your stunning dolls!

I just adore how you made her, she looks gorgeous. I really loved how you keep links to her Queen of the Underworld title/side with the skulls, i can't wait for the second! People seem to forget that back in her day she was known as Dread Persephone, and between her and her husband, She was the one people were more scared of.

Pomegranates also symbolize the feminine. I think they point out how she really came into her power by becoming the queen of the underworld. She would have always been overshadowed by Ceres.
I think a Hades to go along with the dark Persephone would be an interesting idea. I'd also love to see you tackle Aphrodite and Athena
I think the basket should have a handle so she could hang it on her arm. Also can't wait to see the dark version of her.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what she said lol. In french pomegrenates are called "grenades" but a lot of people call them "pommes grenades" (pronounced "pom-grenades"), and I think she speaks french so that would make sense that she said that

I love it, and Im glad you also plan to do her underworld counterpart once we circle back around to winter. Id personally love to see Hecate, who helped Demeter figure out Persephine had been taken to the underworld.

Since you're doing mythological creatures you can trie doing the three fates! Like one is young and beautiful and fresh , the other one middle aged and the third verry old and maybe kind of witch looking. Each doing her thread work . I think this would look AMAZING made by you !

The dolls are beautiful and I can’t understand how someone can be this talented it’s truly amazing but can we please take a moment to talk about what amazing work the mom always provides it’s always stunning, detailed and beautiful. I think it’s really fascinating. Both of you so talented it amazes me.
An interesting challenge would be making Aphrodite but splitting her face into like 10 sections of different skin and eye colors because beauty comes in many forms. Pulling that off would be very difficult but could be amazing.

Your Persephone is so beautiful, really captures the spring feeling. I can just imagine if you also did a Demeter doll, a mother and daughter doll set; or make a Hades doll like a couple set. Youre just overall so skilled and amazing.
On the weather side, around April it supost to be more sunny, but everyday its raining and cold breeze which is unusual for a tropical island (from The Carribeans)
Giving someone a basket of fruit and skulls as a gift sounds like something my sons would do 😆

I love this doll so much. I’m autistic and Persephone is my special interest. Literally everything I have ever done in my life is to learn more about her. I study history, language, philosophy, art, religion, music, biology, geology, and even some mathematics. Literally anything that’s even tangentially related to her I study. I’m actually going to get my PhD in classical archaeology so that I can help restore her sanctuary in southern Italy. I can’t express how much I love seeing other people paint, sculpt, or depict her in any fashion. Really. This makes me just so so happy

This is adorable. This repaint made me think of Dionysus for some reason. (Probably because he's some times said to be her son and he's the god of wine) which made me think of Disney's Fantasia. I know you usually don't do many males dolls, but I can't help thinking how awesome a family portrait would be. Dionysus and Demeter in summer and Hades in winter or something. I think that could be super fun.

Persephone is one of my favourite gods (if not my all time favourite) specifically because of the duality of her nature. She is both a beautiful nature god of spring and summer and flowers and she's also the rock-hard gothic queen of the underworld. When people say "get you a woman who can do both" they're talking about Persephone. I aspire to be even half as amazing as she is lol.

Watching/listening while I made my breakfast, shaking my head when I heard palm grenades, started watching more closely when she started painting and realized she said pomegranates. They were so tiny and she paints them to look so real. Who else does that? Amazing.

also, i'd really love to see you do sisters using the big and little sister dolls. maybe they could be the 3 fates, or the 3 sisters from the Three Sisters mountain legend. Since they're said to change with the seasons, you could do them all in a different season.
