- Nick Offerman--perhaps best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the acclaimed series "Parks and Recreation"--is a humorist, actor, writer, producer, director, and consummate woodworker.
With his book "Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop", Offerman shares stories and projects from the Offerman Woodshop family.

That is the best plug to get audible...Cause he was one of the reasons why I loved "Parks and Rec." and his wife is one of my favorite female comedic actresses. And he has the audacity to be a smart man too.

If we could make Nick an American hero in epic proportions America would rise up out of the ashes and people would genuinely be happier and a better people all around. He's really a most amazing example of a human and what a man should be....his father should be very proud
Mr Offerman is such a wise and a humble man. Impossible to not love the guy
ten minutes into this, I ordered his book. I'm an amateur woodworker and as soon as I hear them say that it involves mistakes... I'm in. I love learning about mistakes.
Frank Taylor I did the same. Very few woodworking books include the mistakes made along the way.
His laugh does not match his voice.....it's freaking amazing lol

Ha I can't imagine a voice that would match that goofy laugh, seems like such a cool guy. There's a couple videos on here touring his shop worth a watch such a sweet setup and stock to work with.

I didn't know he thought this way. That's always been my philosophy. I'm a woodworker, blacksmith, spoon carver, tanner, and right now I am had sewing a wool capote. Making stuff and fixing everything is how I was raised. I don't know any other way to live.

I went to the Offerman Wood Shop site, and on the "Who We Are" list there is a Krys listed. On their profile gender pronouns aren't used at all in the description. In case anybody was wondering about that, I think that's a reasonable way to handle it.
@@billybatts9491 In the video he mentions a situation where he's not sure what gender to refer to one of his employees. I noticed some comments chatting about that, so I added an observation I made on his website that seemed germane at the time.

I am confused. He said he grew up a farmer, and how much/hard they had to work. Yet his dad was a teacher (summers off) and his mom was a nurse (generally a higher paying job). I am missing the struggle as a Midwestern white middle class male.

Henry Webster teachers in the Midwest typically work from 10 to 14 hours a day. Farmers in the Midwest typically work from 12 to 16 hours a day. So your teachers that are "farmers" work 22 to 30 hour days?
