- Superbad is one of the best coming-of-age films of the 21st century, and it also helped kick-start the careers of many of its cast members, as stars Jonah Hill and Emma Stone are critically acclaimed actors today.
Another actor that gained prominence in Hollywood from the hit movie was Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who played the hilarious and iconic character Fogell aka McLovin. Mintz-Plasse continued to star in comedy movies after his success in Superbad, but we haven't heard much from him recently.
He is best known for his roles in Kick-Ass, Pitch Perfect, and The To Do List, but why haven’t we heard from the hilarious actor recently? Here’s why Hollywood dumped Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

So basically this guy a super well rounded career despite his type casting, He’s been able to do what he wants. That’s sounds better than 99% of actors careers, congrats Chris.

@@lodomir5519 imdb will tell you a lot more than a wikipedia page, he's also been gigging with his band so i assume he hasn't had a lot of time to go out for acting roles kinda like how when the hollywood vampires are on a tour or even just out doing gigs, johnny depp isn't filming anything.

I'm glad he hasn't tried to change himself to get more roles. He seems confident in his own skin and that's admirable. He's a working actor and musician and that's more than a lot of people can say.

Randomly showed up here, and honestly this is wholesome and i feel like he's winning in every way you think of it, he's one of the very few characters that's so legendary that doing nothing he'll forever be loved the same without expecting to keep doing the same and i love the way he chose to lead his life and it's honestly so much more relaxing than a ups and downs.

I watched Kick ass 1 and 2 before Superbad too but as much I liked him in those movies, I loved him as Mclovin and he is definitely more iconic as the mclovin role in superbad (2008)

I’ve met Christopher on a few occasions and he’s a super likable guy, he remembers me each time we’ve met and is actually the one to normally start conversations. He plays as Ben kwellers bassist as well and has made a beautiful tribute to BKs son, a friend of mine. He’s an extremely talented and well rounded guy and I’m happy that he’s happy with who he is.

Seems like he gets quite a lot of work. Ok, he's not taking Chris Hemsworth type roles but he's doing ok. Maybe if he didn't keep taking nerdy parts he'd start to get different stuff but everyone's got bills to pay. It's funny, even with his bands he's playing supporting roles.

I think Christoper Mintz-Plasse should play as Scott Summers/Cyclops in the MCU franchise
He is far too short. Cyclops is like 6 foot plus. Now, he could do Wolverine, as he is either, I forget, 5’1” or 5’3”. I’d be down for that. But then again, aside from maybe Mojovision, the Phalanx , or the Legacy Virus maybe…or an ACTUAL telling of Marvel’s best story line ever, the Phoenix and Dark Phoenix saga, which they just made a mockery of TWICE ALREADY so I doubt they would take it up again, the POS…left out the entire story from the space station break in, Moira McTaggert trying to cure Jean, the Shi’ar, the the Kree and the Skrull races, the Hellfire Club, Mastermind, Banshee, Erik the Red, Lady Deathstryke, the Morlocks, the Guardians of the Galaxy, all that stuff that would be needed to tell the story and in at LEAST 2 parts, but Marvels best stories are DONE now. So don’t see any of that happening. Oh also Omega Red or Sauron, Sinister, Zaladane, Cyclops and Jean in the Savage Land would be good, but I can’t imagine making a live action version of such comic book stories!
