I'm glad they are making these - I always wanted one of the original SC2's back in the day but they didn't make all that many of them. Now I can have one with different pickups too - whoooooohh!!
These are amazing guitars, play one right after you play a tele or strat and compare. Add a little compression/sustain, tone for days with stock pickups. Terribly under rated. Why don't we see anyone playing these?
@@hughpm I love the body of this, the pick guard and bridge specifically.. But love the roasted maple neck/headstock of the fender version. The G&L logo is so weak. It totally kills the excitement of this guitar. I'd still get it eventually one day though, just not dying to get it cause the lame "fallout" text straight out of Microsoft Word.
@@JGAbstract It's "weak"? How? Because it's DIFFERENT to you. It's ridiculous to be that superficial . . . Jerry Cantrell has played G&L for DECADES and it looks FAR from lame. Dummy.
@@JGAbstract Imagine caring this much about how a logo looks. You're not a musician you're a fashion model. I don't care if it looks like a turd if it sounds like magic it will be my guitar.

It also looks like the back of the neck is unfinished. You can see a clear coat line close to the headstock. They also make a USA version with duncans.
Space Jockey yep. I own a lgn Ibanez jem 777, Gibson sg, Stratocaster, two telecaster. This is my go to shred guitar. I love these and I will buy more.
Iggytommy I can kind of see the tele in the body but that's a big kinda. And in the head stock and maybe the neck i dont know. If anything my first thoughts was oh cool a hard tail mustang
Maybe he meant to say "as you can see from the spec sheet it has a mahogany body" or maybe he's just yet another doofus doing guitar reviews on TH-cam.
All of these folks asking for “Clean” sound! Every guitar gets clean by rolling off the volume... boring as hell! I want to hear how the guitar sounds stacked with gain!!! Not enough “Metal” riffing!!! You want to hear jazz, look up a hollow body video...
Nope. I think that was more to do with what was used to record the video though and the pedals used. I have a tribute Comanche and they are great sounding guitars. I think this was just a poor demo for various reasons because the guy doing the demo is a good player.
I have the DELUXE USA FALLOUT guitar now - I bought the FALLOUT TRIBUTE first. SO what's the difference? TRIBUTE is a GREAT guitar for the price hands down. This USA neck is better built and the electronics are better - the tuning keys are better quality - The bridge is better quality metal I can tell just by looking at it. The body is ALDER not POPLAR - The neck pickup is a ZEBRA HUMBUCKER & BLOWS DOORS on the tribute humbucker. I did a side by side recording of the 2 and the USA is just WAY better sounding - BUT the TRIBUTE is one heck of a deal if you can't afford the USA...
I'm glad they are making these - I always wanted one of the original SC2's back in the day but they didn't make all that many of them. Now I can have one with different pickups too - whoooooohh!!
G&L is starting to ship SC-2s again.
Love you Paul and hello from our new channel! 🙏 #falloutguitar #glguitars
This guitar looks so coool😳😮
I bought this one yesterday, it's really PERFECT to play!!!!!
where from? I can barely find them in stock anywhere...
great guitar; great price
This guitar has a Mustang kinda look to me honestly

Cause doesnt have the Fender logo on It i guess........

This is basically an SC and Page from Helmet played one of those on Biscuits for Smut.
Nice playing, and beautiful guitar.
I bought this exact same guitar and I love it! You can see it in some of my videos too. Cheers :)

I use a similar build, just the asat classic bluesboy tribute semi-hollow and a dark terror. Great for practice :D

It actually has a slightly lacquered finish on the neck. Which I plan on sanding off.
dang, this beauty is so awesome
this guitarist plays so well every guitar that he take .
What will happen if I don't check it out?
The neck profile is a soft V, at least on the one I just played. Very nice neck on that one.
It's a c
As you can see we have a mahogany body?
Nice guitar, fucking idiot demo...wtf. smh
I think the neck would be too narrow for me (it's 41,3mm or so). And the middle pickup switch position is so low compared to the other positions.
I'm getting one to shred. Regardless of the looks, this guitar can shred, but I'm changing the pickups to Duncans.
Space Jockey yep. I own a lgn Ibanez jem 777, Gibson sg, Stratocaster, two telecaster. This is my go to shred guitar. I love these and I will buy more.
why would you change to duncans? G&L pups are better.
I wonder if you can put mini humbuckers in it, bridge and neck?
why would you?
@@bonitabromeliads because you like them...maybe just because. Think outside of the box
I am thinking that with a set of 12-60's tuned to Drop C it will be a hard rock machine. Swap the pick up for a JB!
I want one so bad. I love my flying v's, but you always have to be careful with them. I need something comfortable and smaller.
Which pedal where you using for the distorted sound?
Is this guitar good for classic rock?
Yes
that neck looks huge on yo fingers. Thanks for da demo.
The neck is actually narrower than most necks, so whatever. Btw - Learn to write in English.
How does this do for jangly type stuff?
Great.
Pop the tone knob up for single coil bridge and the P90 neck and you got a twangle machine.
Elizabeth Stokes from the Beths has been using this guitar for all of her music career. That should sum it up for you.
Pure stoner bliss
i dont get how he compares it to looking like a Tele. anyone see that that?
If anything it's closer to a mustang. But only slightly. It's pretty original design, but I dig it!
Iggytommy I can kind of see the tele in the body but that's a big kinda. And in the head stock and maybe the neck i dont know.
If anything my first thoughts was oh cool a hard tail mustang
He was referring to the thickness.
Is there much volume loss when coil split is engaged from humbucker to single coil?
No answer I see :(
Che Guebuddha there's a slight volume loss
None at all on mine.
can i use it for grunge?
Every video you ask this.. and of xourse you can. Its perect. This would be the ultimate everyrhing guitar :)
+Phosphormann Scotty No, it is forbidden.
+MrCopperthwaite And of course no you cannot use it for gunge..... it is forbidden :)
+Phosphormann Scotty You can use a stick and a bucket for grunge, this will work better but you still need to learn about keys and harmonics stuff
it's forbidden.
Dang, I wish they could find people for these videos who know how to play a clean setting. This guy's no good without his fuzz
EXACTLY my thoughts.
The hair. The HAIR!!!
Clean sound? Screw that. Any guitar can get clean by rolling off the volume! We need to hear how it handles stacked gain!!! Clean... boring as hell
Stupid question but active or passive?
Passive
Want!
It's probably a really nice guitar but I wouldn't know because of the terrible, shreddy demo. What does the humbucker sound like clean?
He played it clean
Literally the very first thing he demonstrates after talking is the humbucker clean.
halffulltome Pretty sure that was the single coil clean. I just got this guitar, the humbucker has a great, sparkly, squirty sound clean.
eragon2121 Sorry, I meant the first thing he does after the second talking part. 1:58
halffulltome Ahh. Though I'd say there his amp sound isn't all that clean.

but does it djent
How in the flying fuck are we supposed to "see" that this guitar has a mahogany body? Its painted! How did that get past editing?
Maybe he meant to say "as you can see from the spec sheet it has a mahogany body" or maybe he's just yet another doofus doing guitar reviews on TH-cam.
GAK!!
I played one for sale. Very disappointed in what it sounded like. Just sayin'

most jazz players don't use hollow bodies bro. That's like a 50's thing,
If you're going to demo play clean and driven but just dirt is not enuff
Somebody buy this guy a brush. Is he sleeping in his car?
great guitar, bad demo...
I am the only one that doesn't like the sound?
Nope. I think that was more to do with what was used to record the video though and the pedals used. I have a tribute Comanche and they are great sounding guitars. I think this was just a poor demo for various reasons because the guy doing the demo is a good player.
Can the playing get more obnoxious and unmusical?
Too much "trang" for rock music, but otherwise, seems like a lot of guitar for the money.
Fastguitars what is “Trang”? I use mine for VH tones just fine.
the stock humbucker on this guitar is just as good as any JB or Gibson paf pick up...I compared them thru same amp settings
