A lot of people get hi prey drive/working dogs in the hopes that they will just lounge around and be as lazy as their owners. Mals are not meant to be laying around as they will tear your house apart if not given the proper stimulus they require. Don’t buy this wonderful breed if you aren’t dedicated like this man is to training. My hats off to you sir by doing this breed a wonderful service by showcasing their abilities.

The time you have put into their training I can see has been many hours of dedicated work. Your dogs are lucky to have you, because they are the type of dog that requires a busy, working lifestyle otherwise they would be bord and unhappy. Now hearing your story, I am even more impressed. You've done a fantastic job training them. I was gifted to have had 2 Malinois in my life. A mother and son. Loved them with all my heart . Ring Sport, personal protection trained. Responded to German, French and Dutch. Their personalities were hilarious. I was blessed knowing and living with them.💜🐾🐾💜
I am 66 and I have a 7 mth male pup Belgian malinois mix and my granddaughter has his sister pup. They love to play together. So smart and so much energy. I'm very impressed with Michael and his videos. He is an excellent trainer. I'd like to learn how he does it.

I discovered the videos with the Sound of Silence audio. And cried. It was hard to be the first female patrolman in my Deep South town. I was taught how to subdue a weaker opponent. Who is weaker than me? I didn't know how to fight. Also didn't know anything about the military chain of command. If I had seen the videos 30 years ago, I would have gone through the training. Then I could have been an effective backup AND I could have done my job without a resentful male backup. My choice would have been a GSD and cross-train it in search and rescue. I'll be 70 in a few months. That ship has sailed. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
I love your dogs ,they’re such beautiful and smart animals. I have Dobermans they are also high energy and super smart, and they like to perform and please. If I was younger id get me a malinois. I’m worried I don’t have the energy anymore. Dobermans take a tremendous amount of energy the first two years, then they chill out a little.

This is an excellent video. Very glad you stressed the relatively greater importance of the skills of the handler versus your dogs, and the great love you have for your Ares and Athena. They are not just military tools or assets. To have the best performance you have to have a very strong bond and love for the dog, enjoy fun times and vice versa. I am astounded that you and Ares actually walked down the side of a building and went up in a helicopter standing on the side bar, etc. You both are very brave. Also, very much like the portrait of you and your two dogs in the middle of the video. They are house dogs and live the good life, like their handler!

Loved this video. I’ve been in a dilemma for quite some time now about to get or not to get a malinois. I seen numerous videos why not to get one and so far I’ve not. Always stuck with shepherds and do quite well with them but scared to commit. Think my hang up is I need more training before I attempt such a brilliant dog. I believe shepherds are very intelligent but that would be a step up to the next level. The video gives me inspiration though. Lol
I for one think it was a great idea to train yourself, better results that way. Trust is a big part of that. I love your video and say to you keep up your good works.

I'm just in awe at the bond between you and your dogs. I know the feeling. I had a blk lab. He wasn't like your dogs but he and I were so tight. He cane everywhere with me and listened at first command because he was so bonded with me and wanted to make me happy.

He’s just a poser, an dog influencer. He has nothing to do with Leo nor Military. His dogs are not even close to „military standard“. He’s just making money with this
I discovered the videos with the Sound of Silence audio. And cried. It was hard to be the first female patrolman in my Deep South town. I was taught how to subdue a weaker opponent. Who is weaker than me? I didn't know how to fight. Also didn't know anything about the military chain of command. If I had seen the videos 30 years ago, I would have gone through the training. Then I could have been an effective backup AND I could have done my job without a resentful male backup. My choice would have been a GSD and cross-train it in search and rescue. I'll be 70 in a few months. That ship has sailed. Thank you for your wonderful videos.

I love your dogs ,they’re such beautiful and smart animals. I have Dobermans they are also high energy and super smart, and they like to perform and please. If I was younger id get me a malinois. I’m worried I don’t have the energy anymore. Dobermans take a tremendous amount of energy the first two years, then they chill out a little.

The Malinios is my bucket list pup, but I know that I don't have the time to properly put into one at this time in my life. This is an excellent video. Very glad you stressed the relatively greater importance of the skills of the handler versus your dogs, and the great love you have for your Ares and Athena. They are not just military tools or assets. To have the best performance you have to have a very strong bond and love for the dog, enjoy fun times and vice versa. I am astounded that you and Ares actually walked down the side of a building and went up in a helicopter standing on the side bar, etc. You both are very brave. Also, very much like the portrait of you and your two dogs in the middle of the video. They are house dogs and live the good life, like their handler!

Loved this video. I’ve been in a dilemma for quite some time now about to get or not to get a malinois. I seen numerous videos why not to get one and so far I’ve not. Always stuck with shepherds and do quite well with them but scared to commit. Think my hang up is I need more training before I attempt such a brilliant dog. I believe shepherds are very intelligent but that would be a step up to the next level. The video gives me inspiration though. Lol
I for one think it was a great idea to train yourself, better results that way. Trust is a big part of that. I love your video and say to you keep up your good works.

i have siberian husky & samoyed, also workingbreeds, but way easier to handle (for me).

I know the feeling. I had a blk lab. He wasn't like your dogs but he and I were so tight. He cane everywhere with me and listened at first command because he was so bonded with me and wanted to make me happy.
