I've recently purchased a Line 6 JM4 looper. Had to find a used one because they're out of production now. The drum sounds are excellent and the main reason why I chose this looper. I have purchased several looper pedals over the years, but this has to be my favorite. So easy to use and sounds great. I've posted some ambient guitar videos, and most have a looper, the Flamma FS21. Dependable and durable. I would never sell it.
Hi Derek, I'm definitely impressed by the Flamma, (and the demo as always), plenty of scope for practicing and at a sub $130 mark, I reckon it's decent value too. One of my old bands actually started with two guitarists, a bass player and a Boss drum machine which filled the gap to get us started, as we were all pretty much novices. We eventually took a drummer on and if it wasn't for the fact that the Boss couldn't buy a round after practice, we'd have kept it on!. Because it's also a drum machine (and has a sense of timing), is it more forgiving with your stop-record button press than a regular 'raw' looper? Like, does it round to the nearest down beat when you press the stop-record switch? Trying to figure out how it behaves if you're late or early with your loop end.
@@DerekPaulGuitar No more like this: I tap to start recording with the drums on. Then I play a measure and tap again to stop recording, but I do so slightly early, like a half beat. Does my loop start to play, but out-of-sync with the drums, or does the machine 'gap' that beat and then start the loop to keep it in timing? Basically how do the drums affect the looping behavior if I'm early or late with my button clicks.
@@alexfilmwriting Oh i see what you mean, i'm not entirely sure with regards to the drum loops finishing the beat before looping, i'll have to try it our this evening and see, cheers

@@bruggmanbrandon5272 I would prefer the Circle Loop from Donner - I think the Flamma does not show the progress of the basis loop whil overdubbung ("Circle" is missing in the display on the FLAMMA?!?)...not sure, I hae the Donner and it is cool. The Flamma look better IMHO.
How does this compare to the NUX Looper and Drum Machine pedal you also reviwed? I am interested in getting one of these for my practice. Thanks
I would say this is better for drum sounds for sure, but the NUX beats it for holding over 200 backing tracks if you want to import them, cheers!
Where do you download the software, can't find it
I've looked everywhere on their website and cant find it...awesome pedal tho
@@evanpaventy3114 No worries, heres the download link, just scroll to FS21 :) flammainnovation.com/download.html
@@DerekPaulGuitar thanks, which one do you download for windows computer.
@@evanpaventy3114 Just grab this one marked... Flamma FM10 Edit V1.1.1 Setup_English_win.zip
@@DerekPaulGuitar I like the FS21 but I am challenged to connect it to my PC. Per your above suggestion - I downloaded FS21+DRUM_LOOP+V1.0.1 from the link above - my PC with Windows 10 kept saying "No Device Detected". Then I downloaded Flamma FM10 Edit V1.1.1 - interesting experience. The downloaded screen turned to some kind of gibberish - I had to shutdown my PC. Scary...
Said files transfered to the pc, are they including the drum tracks?
Oooh not sure, I’ll have to check that myself
can you transfer to an IPAD?
I haven’t tried it unfortunately
For a drum machine the timing seems SUPER sloppy
I was looking for a DRUM machine. This was someone playing a guitar. DUH!
It’s also a looper
This is the worst drum&looper, this doesnt have sync to drums, and it cant change speed of your loop with drums.. there are few drum patern .and only 40 slots.. It doesnt have separate putputs for drums and loop thats completly sucks I'm pissed off. Nux can do everything I said and has 255 slots.. but this is likebroken pedal.
Which nux are you talking about?
@@gloomshrooom mentioned in the reply by the video poster to another comment, I guess it could be it: NUX loop core II stereo ?
Dont buy this sh... Worst drum and loop pedal. Synchronization doesnt work, if you change tempo youll f..k drums with loop
It would help if you knew how to play on time or key
bro what the heck
Music's about the feel!
@@LivinginLosAngeles-re5yx how bout you "FEEL" this (me biting your hand)
@@HerlihyBrothers Clever stuff. 🤣👎
You played better solos, the first one is horrible 😢
Thanks for the feedback, improvisation is definitely a weak point for me at the moment!
@@DerekPaulGuitar but I love your videos, great sound , well produced.. 🙌🏻
Thanks man! Really appreciate that
