    About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma TH-cam channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about inclusion and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

I am a paraplegic and I agree 100% with the walking. There are things that others take for granted every day that’s beyond just walking. I really miss knowing when it’s time to potty, more than walking.

I will never cease in believing that research, trials, and money for the research and individual operations. My husband, oldest daughter, niece, brother-in-law, are all registered nurses, plus my cousin is a cardiac specialist surgeons nurse.
My brother and I had 2 daughters both. I started this off with 1st daughter, 1990, is an RN. My brother’s 1st daughter, 1991, is both a physical therapist and a certified accountant for large firms. My 2nd daughter, 1993, is a successful business woman and world traveler. My brothers 2nd daughter, 1994, is a Nurse Practitioner. I made the decision to be a stay at home parent/child care giver. I raised our 4 girls together. They lived one street in back of us. When they were all finally in school I became an elementary school teacher for the next 23 years. Knowledge is Power!

I like Cole’s personality. I watched older videos on this channel and on his mother, Kelly’s, channel from when Cole first had his accident and was in the hospital. He always seemed like a great person but through his accident and injuries he has because a person that I don’t think he would have become if he was not faced with everything he dealt with and is still dealing with. Cole has a different outlook on life now and that shows in these videos. Cole is grateful for life and you only see him get frustrated a few times. However, I am sure that he gets way more frustrated off camera but he is allowed. Cole is a role model on how to live life fully. You can see that Cole has a big heart and is a guy that wants to spread love to others in the world.

Thank you for sharing your life. My husband about 2 1/2 years ago had a C3-C7 spinal cord injury. I don’t know how much you guys realize the help you give to people. It has been a very challenging 2 1/2 years for myself and my husband. We live in Las Vegas and unfortunately there isn’t very much medical facilities for people with spinal cord injuries in this city. You guys are like my allies. If someone would’ve told me three years ago I would know so much about spinal cord injuries I would’ve laughed at them. I know you guys know personally how overwhelming it can be trying to find new information and re-search. To have someone I feel like helping me it’s so humbling. So yes please keep posting any information you guys find out. And yet again thank you so much for being brave enough to share your lives you have done so much for me personally and I know probably for so many other people. God bless you guys thank you for loving each other and supporting each other because I believe without each other you would never have been able to do this that has helped so many other people. I’m sorry for rambling on I just want you to know how much you’ve helped so many people myself included.Xxxx

Priorities changes the longer you've lived with a disability and for me, having full bladder and bowel function would be a huge relief. When my nephew suffered his injury back in the 2000s, they were doing some pretty impressive work with the patient's own stem cells at a clinic in Russia. The treatment wasn't approved in the US but it was so promising that the Mayo Clinic was willing to do the preparatory and post-treatment physical therapy. It wasn't, "Take up your mat and walk." The amount of mobility regained varied wildly and nobody was out dancing the polka when they came home. However most patients regained at least some bowel, bladder, and sexual function. Not as obvious to the outside observer as getting up and walking but certainly enough that I told my nephew I'd raise the money and go to Russia with him if he was interested. However, he never exactly was a go-getter and didn't have the gumption to want to do that much work without a promise of regaining mobility.

I learned so much from this video. You both have always been so open and honest about Cole's injury and what difficulties this brings to him. I will continue to pray that science finds a way to bring Cole the technology he needs to be able to regain the functions that he wants the most! You two are such wonderful stewards for the disabled community! Stay Positive! Sending you much love and lifting you both up in prayer 🙏🙏❤️❤️

I read that molecular article and immediately thought of you Cole! You guys have opened my mind and taught me so much about spinal cord injuries and the importance of accessibility. I’m praying these trials go well and you’re able to gain some of those functions back that give you your independence 🙏🏽

What you shared with us was very informative. Oftentimes, we do not realize all the intricacies involved in taking advantage of the new medical procedures for those with spinal cord injuries. As onlookers, we sometimes think in terms of a person being able to walk again as the most important physical ability to regain; however, as Cole pointed out there are other abilities that are as desirable as being able to walk. GOD bless you both for your courage in educating us. I know at times it can be difficult to share certain personal things; however, we are better informed because you do share and we appreciate the two of you for that. You really opened my understanding to what others are going through; yet staying POSITIVE. This is so needed in our world today. GOD BLESS!!!

Amen! As a CRPS warrior I constantly think about people with catastrophic injury is how much are they suffering with chronic pain? What's their fatigue level? Are they able to hold a job or leave the house? There is such an association in society between "disability" and "wheelchair" as opposed to all the different types of disabilities that exist and what are the bigger problems with quality of life and independence.

I found this to be very informative. I loved that your folks were the two people who sent you an article about the Molecular compound study. They are still looking out for you even though you are grown and married. I keep telling my 38 year old son he is still my baby even though he is married with two of the best and cutest kids in the world. I would definitely like to see more videos like this in the future.

Hi Cole & Charisma! This news on the spinal cord stimulator is exciting but still glad to know you are doing additional research.
Like the information, from your parents, Cole, sounds less invasive and better for so many people with injuries similar to yours. Never lose hope! 🥰

I love hearing the specifics regarding the biology of the spinal cord. It's insane how much we depend on such a delicate fiber that runs through our bodies (I mean, it makes perfect logical sense, but people don't always think about just what it takes for any biological organism to function). I appreciate that you guys are willing to open the curtains into your lives. Your relationship (at least as it appears on camera) is a goal. The love you two have for each other is very visible, and almost palpable. I wish you both continued success. Knowledge is the only way we can evolve and grow as a species, and you have both been able to impart a vast amount of information and life-paths that many of us may never directly experience.

I think u are both amazing and so inspiring.I’m 81 and many times I think and regret things I did in my life that prevented it for being a better one, but who knows the little things that I was and still am unaware of that might hav help somebody we encounter avoid either sadness, or something worse. Even a smile to someone that crosses u on the street might draw that person out of dark, negative, defeating thoughts. Every day, every circumstance, every action, every misfortune, every joyful instant, few as they might be, has a purpose. Thank u both for giving out such an example of what human beings can really do in this as was in previous ages, and will be in future ones, God willing. Love u guys, u are the best example of the best part of the human spirit!
