Building Safety Crisis on Newsnight: Timber frame fires

Despite the safety concerns raised by a number of serious fires in timber frame flats, the Government has committed to a 25-year plan to increase the use of timber in construction. Fire chiefs are urging them to update building regulations to take account of modern methods of construction, and a resident of a timber frame building in Worcester Park which was destroyed by fire calls for public transparency about the results of serious fire investigations.
