    Thanks for all the feedback. I wanted to add a few things here in the comments.
    - The beaver is a great way to gather wood passively, however you can really crank this up with the chainsaw and some manual farming as Notfallhamster and KidDynamite93 point out!!
    - Eels are also a great addition to the setup, but keep in mind that they have a cooldown so be careful building out your base's energy need on the "increased cap"
    - There are other solid energy setups out there, but they require RNG to bless you on your memtic specializations. This is, IMO, the best general setup you can use in any biome 😁😁

      If you make food using coconuts or bananas, then there's essentially no reason for beavers ever. I can barely gather a stack of bananas before having like 10k wood.
      But yea, it's great for passively keeping wood up

  • @Notfallhamster

    My chainsaw said "F beavers I do 50k wood in 5 minutes!".

      I’ll have to put in a pinned comment saying that beavers are great for passive gains, but you can crank it up more with a chainsaw

      Use hydraulic generators and electric eels if u don't feel like doin all that u get more then enough power if you use switches to switch power between locations as needed this makes any of the other generators viable and electric eels increase their efficiency. 6 adv hyrdros and a few eels and each has an output of 45 watts or so I can switch back and fourth between some 16 turrets and my farms. Never having to fuel anything.

    Another tip to have an additional 60w is to use your vehicles to place 1 advanced biomass generator on each one (each vehicle has independent structure limits), you won't be able to attach wires to your base facilities, but for example, I am using 4 extra brewing barrels to process acid (limited to 2 on each vehicle) + 13 barrels I have on my base so I have 17 barrels processing acid at the same time.
    Btw if someone managed to make the deviation generator to work on a vehicle please lemme know how, I never could.

  • @MontrealVII
    @MontrealVII 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    since acid and oil/stardust source become a massive needs in later stages of the game because you gonna need a lot of firepower to finish certain missions not to mention prime wars also. i think, logging isn't really a thing to focus on at this moment, explore the map and settle your base at either polluted zone or oiled area. so you can farm those material passively, of course you got much more if you doing it yourself like doing silos, dungeon and everything but i mean really the more you get the best you have. i may have suggestion, try somewhere at northeast side of red sands i think there's polluted zone near the edge of the map also there's a lot i really mean a lot of startrace ore sitting peacefully waiting for someone to mine them. me myself always find 3k or almost 4k stratrace ore just in one sweep and i can go back in 3 hour and get another 3k more since their amount of spawn always in different spot but still in that location

    • @JudgeGray
      @JudgeGray  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For sure acid and stardust are hugely important in the late game. Building your base in a spot to farm those will allow you to use different power sources that are on par for sure. Stuff like stardust power is great but your base has to be in the correct zone and positioned just right so you get the bonuses without the negatives. This is imo the best way to power your base in general without any special memetics and with minimal effort. ;)

  • @ishi6412

    I could be wrong here.....but isn't the best way to max your output is to build six advanced solar generators and have six electric eels?
    which means you don't need wood or the beaver and it doesn't matter what your location is as there is always sun, just place and forget about it.
    Also i can only place six down, is this the limit or can you place down more?

    • @SilverTwinkle
      @SilverTwinkle 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can get up to 2 more but you gotta get lucky in the memetics. Advanced biofuel has also 2 potential rng memetics making it the best one out of all energy whise. I got lucky enough and have 8 generating over 50W with eels.

    • @JudgeGray
      @JudgeGray  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with silver on this. There are “Super optimal” energy setups but you need RNG on Memtics. This is the best IMO for general players. Also eels are great but they have downtime, so you will lose power here and there if you build out for them.

    • @vihta545

    "Your powering your base wrong" then never mentions power switches lol. You build a switch between defenses, ur farm and your crafting stations to shift power to where you need it. Do this and the adv solar panels are enough. Though I recommend the adv hydraulic generators they output more energy combined with electric eel deviations don't use the beavers that's not necessary at all. You should be by water anyway if you want to have automatic irrigation for your plant growing needs. No Offense but the way this vid suggests is counterproductive. Also anyone can access these by simply a respec to whatever you need then a respec back. Only exception to this is the garages and crafting components all building parts like farming parts base parts and benches exc, stay and are fully functional. Hope this helps.

    • @JudgeGray
      @JudgeGray  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The point of the video was to show which of the power sources is objectively best. There are situations where anything can be “best” but the biomass/beaver is the best all around because you can use it anywhere and requires 0 effort on the part of the player. Using hydraulic generation requires water, and not every base location is by water.
      You can use switches to throttle areas of your base that you aren’t using and min/max your energy usage, and yes that is an advanced tip for sure and something that a lot of people do and I def recommend it, however it was not the point of the video ;)
