Kobe and Shaq always said they were brothers and Shaq said their relationship was of respect and a competitive rivalry to each other which helped the Lakers become successful in that period. More like a brother rivalry
Real men, honest and secure within themselves, can do that. I was happy to see this when it first aired. I shed a tear and had to call my best and lifelong friends to tell them how much they meant to me. We have 50+ years of true friendship. I suggest that everyone that watched this an read this comment, do the same and feel your heart grow.
The true essence of a man. To be able to express when you’re wrong, to be there for your fellow man and brother, and to reconcile and move past your differences. This was beautiful to watch.
I never knew how powerful apologies were until I had to do it with one of the closest people in my life. It feels euphoric and it’s like the world has been lifted off your shoulders
This brought good tears to my eyes. Magic is the older brother that took the responsibility to reconcile their differences as you can see in his consoling Isaiah. it's beautiful indeed and it speaks to the healing that must take place between brothers because we are under attack. This will be a moment in time that I can cherish and learn from.
I idolized Magic growing up. I've watched this relationship disintegrate over a 3 year period, culminating with Magic helping MJ keep Isiah off the Dream Team. To see it come full circle after so long, I shed a tear. One, because 12 year old me who cried like a baby when Magic had to retire still can't believe he's alive but WELL when many of us thought he'd probably be dead by the mid 90's tops. Two, people really don't know how tight Magic and Isiah were. And brothers shouldn't ever fall out that long, blood or not. They're brothers and it just brought the kid in me out to see them reconcile. Never too late to make things right with the ones you love y'all.
Spot on! The last part, never too late to make things right. It could have been too late for either of these two if one or both had died, for what? sport?ignorance? , then that regret taken to the grave. It is a lesson all of us young or old, nothing is worth hating or hurting other people for, and whoever we have hurt in words or deed, we should humble ourselves, forgive the person and let peace and love reign.
I can’t stop crying. This is just beautiful. Life is to short. Please love, appreciate, honor the people that are in your lives. Because tomorrow is not promised.
If you watched the entire interview they showed you the definition of soul mates. Truly deeply & irreversibly connected for life. I pray they never spend another day without having each other. You could feel the healing

jonny bonez that dream team revolves around mike and what he wanted. They could’ve easily gotten rid of Christian Laetnner for Isaiah but they didn’t cuz of Jordan’s fuels with the pistons.

Isaha and majic were besties to the point where isaha was his best man at his wedding, and when Isahas Detroit pistons finally made it to the finals they faced the lakers, majic and isaha threw there friendship out the window right there. ( That's what isaha said in the Detroit Pistons 30 for 30)

A few months ago one of my childhood best friends passed away. We've been distant because of different schools and colleges. Was just thinking of chatting up the old group to meet up for Christmas until I heard he left this world. Broke me to know that at 19, he's gone. If there were any stupid ass arguments or fights, that shit won't matter in the long run, and you'll end up regretting it. Grow up and forgive. The world is changing too fast for everyone to cope with, and I'm glad Magic and Isiah are friends again.

It got so bad, Shaq left in 2004.
Crying like a baby…. These men were my childhood. Thank you guys for what u do and have done for people like me.
me toooo
Real men cry, have brothas, stand up for their families and they show love. It’s all good bruh.
Seeing friends re-connect and squash beef, is amazing to see.
I need to do the same. I shed tears watching this.
Do it!! Life is too short! ~~Jesus is Lord~~
This was beautiful to watch.
the thumbnail made me think Magic had some stupid ass hat on lmao
Real G I thought he was iman shumpert before I read the title😂
I thought it was a graduation hat 🎓
comment got me rollin bc it’s so accurate 😂😂😂😂😂
Real G I’m fucking dying right now😂
Real G me too lmao
I love Magic Johnson. He always comes across as a great man with a good heart.
And that’s called growing up!! Emotional right now 🤭
Magic Johnson is just the man. Everyone in the league who played with him, or against him, loves the guy.
@@elizabethtimothy4776 Yes , the way Jehovah God created us to be , loving.
This is true friendship, it doesn't come often but when it does it's beautiful
I can’t stop crying. This is just beautiful. Life is to short. Please love, appreciate, honor the people that are in your lives. Because tomorrow is not promised.
If you watched the entire interview they showed you the definition of soul mates. Truly deeply & irreversibly connected for life. I pray they never spend another day without having each other. You could feel the healing
Magic: I'm sorry
Isiah: Immediately breaks down into tears
So special what magic done and it clearly meant so much to Isiah
@@amsislam2010 exactly. Magic said it. He didn't just shake his hand or pat him on the shoulder and said "Are we good?" Magic said "I'm sorry". Beautiful moment.
Thrilled to see this. Didnt think this would ever happen. Isiah burned a lot of bridges over the years and you can see the toll that's taken on him. He looked like a broken man
Mr Thomas has faced Karma by getting grief and discord within his own immediate family...Karma always comes around
ny_kia31 who did he burn bridges with?
1/2 the country of Canada, the city of New York, every GM and owner in the league for running the CBA into the ground, and virtually every superstar of his generation.
Magic kept him off the dream team cuz he thought zeke clowned him about hiv.
The Admiral tell me more! please
1:58 comedic relief was desperately necessary
Leo Quintana lol
I was about to shed some tears and then that comic relief came just in time
This is the true meaning of growth within yourself and understanding of what it means to be human!!! Magic is 1 of the classiest guys I have ever known about
Both brothers have a genuine smile .
Total respect to Magic and Zeke for showing people what it looks like to be vulnerable and open with a friend, and to show everyone what reconciliation looks like.
I've had great friends and lost friendships .. When you get them back I have cried many times .. Whoever thinks them hugging it out is gay is dumb .. It's not at all .. It's emotional and real men cry tears .. Any body have a problem with it fight me
@@yhwhfearingguy646 He doesn't have "AIDS" you low budget troll. Fuck you.
😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭💯♥️♥️♥️💙
I won't fight you but I'll challenge you to a game of darts. I'm not particularly good, but. Darts.
I can watch this over and over and I still get choked up. Two hard men finally reconcile.
You definitely ARE a chronic bed wetter. HA, HA
To me that's one of the greatest moments in basketball.
Man, this is gonna go a long way in solving some of those childish feuds happening in today's NBA
Gene 007 Yup. I told these two to stop being idiots. Took them so long to get here. But they're here. Thank ya Jesus
No it won't
man sometimes it's hard being a real man and letting those years flow. this got me so teary eyed
Every time I watch this video I can't help but cry. Because I saw these two geniuses playing, I know the great brotherly love they had and after their disagreement.
incredible basketball minds
Magic is the reason why he didn’t make the dream team.
But we blame mike
wrong
ShakeTheGreat I’m listening!
jonny bonez that dream team revolves around mike and what he wanted. They could’ve easily gotten rid of Christian Laetnner for Isaiah but they didn’t cuz of Jordan’s fuels with the pistons.
ShakeTheGreat I can see that very understandable! Now was magic and Thomas not speaking during this dream team? Cuz to me it felt like this sparked them not speaking .
jonny bonez yeah it did stir up a bad relationship between them, but ultimately Jordan’s the one who basically didn’t allow Thomas on the team
am I the only one who didn't know they had beef ?
Michael E. Nah me too
because the beef is older than you probably are. When Magic caught HIV, Isiah Thomas said he was having sex with women and men
Isaha and majic were besties to the point where isaha was his best man at his wedding, and when Isahas Detroit pistons finally made it to the finals they faced the lakers, majic and isaha threw there friendship out the window right there. ( That's what isaha said in the Detroit Pistons 30 for 30)
CaptainSplashman damn you need to work on your grammar and spelling son
Michael E. Me too
Man zeke has been waiting to hear that for 20 years. To all, pls give flowers to those who love you while they are alive.
Wow that was powerful.
Amen to that.
And Now The Healing Begins!
This Needed To Happen!
This is what you call true men, the real deal. It's takes a lot of heart for things of this nature to occur. Amazing to see, wish this happened more often in this world.
Omg... This made me shed tears big times....That was the longest hug ever💙... And Isiah is too funny even through all that pent up emotion! 😂😂
This is that a brother really is. Hughing him tight and telling him you love him even after a fight or an argument. I feel the same way with my best friend jack. I never meant to hurt him and i hope he knows i will always have his back
mistakes are the hardest thing in life to reconcile.
2 of the greatest basketball legends of all time sitting down and burying the hatchet after 30 years of feuding. Truly a beautiful moment when they embrace one another and clearly demonstrate the true power of forgiveness.
Legends
James Ramírez I thought I commented this since we have the same profile pic 😂

God bless both Magic and Isiah ✌
Thinking about my best friend I lost a few years ago due to an argument. Hoping we can reunite one day like this. God bless
Call him. Make the first move. Bless.
This is cool af! I grew up watching these two and I always thought it a shame they fell out. But I understand how people competing for the same thing can somehow drive a wedge between them. but I'm glad they were to realize that it was just b-ball and reconcile. This is the epitome of what black men should be to each other! I am your brother!
Amen!!! I echo those sentiments. I, too, grew up watching these two ball, with Magic being my favorite player. To see magic and zeke together again is very cool.
Magic is truly a good human being.
Life is just too short. Lovely to see these guys emotional.
I bet y'all wont sit Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas together though
Or MJ and Charles Barkley
mj wouldn't.
barcode0954 Isiah would want to kill him, they will die hating each other
they've already reconciled
They are best friends.....
This is really touching. Magic showed what a real man is made of, and I'm glad that Zeke made amends as well.
This was beautiful! 😢❤❤
Dam magic was about to shed tears too thats was true love you could tell they are real close
The feelz are strong
Glad to see these two cats work it out, as a teenager i had to suffer through larry bird, magic johnson, and isaih thomas winning all those titles before my chicago bulls started their glorious run, but i. Enjoyed watching all of it. Thanks for the memories!
We all have that one friend who we never forget but hard to forgive. Then that day comes when face to face and at that moment the pain and resentment go away... glad these brothers finally reconciled
This is touching beyond measure. Two friends reconciling. A beautiful sight.
This is the friendship that I want.. friends that's as close as a family
I can only imagine Michael Jordan watching this and laughing 😂
Smoking a cigar 😂
what would be funny about it magic don’t hate jordan
LOL
I think Michael would get emotional too, he respects both these guys.
Always gotta come back to this to remind myself to be grateful for who I have in life.
Awesome. True brotherhood. People all make mistakes but true fellowship and a bond like that should always overcome any past drama & pettiness.
I havent cried in so long watching this is just like something is inside saying "you cant hold it in forever" very emotional😞
that shit brought a tear to my eye😭😭 Damn...I miss my pops, he stay round the corner and we ain't spoke in 25yrs
mike mike gotta make it right with pops man mine passed in 2015 and it’s the hardest thing i ever had to deal with...
mike mike my pop died this Year. You will regret not patching things up.
I'm going to make things right with my pops 2
Love Brother
mike mike my mother and I had beef for years. She passed away in July of 09. I was able to reconcile with my mom before she passed but I still can't believe we wasted all that time not speaking to each other. Please talk to your pops bro and if he doesn't want to hear what you have to say, at least you tried. I get teary eyed just thinking about all the time we wasted but I thank God we was able to reconcile before she passed.
The hurt of overcoming what was thought to never be reconciled , bring peace and comfort to the hearts of those involved. Those tears were well needed for this.
Two men who age and experience have helped them mature and see beyond rumors, pain, and scars. That conversation, apology, and hug brought healing. That is what it takes to be a man.
ITS THESE GUYS THAT MADE ME A FAN OF THE GAME LUV THESE LEGENDS
bless both you brothers. mad love 4 y'all from Michigan.
Respect. The GOATs
Im not the most caught on the situation so if someone could explain id appreciate it. But this shows u stop fucking getting mad over petty shit or whatever happens. This world is spinning too fast & it could he here today, gone tomorrow. Live life because u only get 1 of it. Dont live with regrets u take to the grave. Im 22 & still got too many regrets.
littlelosito they were best friend but when they first met in the finals magic there it all out the window
littlelosito there had been a rumor that Isaiah was telling people that magic had aids before magic came out and said it so magic felt slighted and had a part to play in why Isaiah Thomas wasn't on the dream team
littlelosito the realest shit I’ve heard all year💯keep thinking like that bro and you gonna go very far in life
littlelosito tell me about it. I'm 27yrs old. Just got news a friend got killed. After loosing around 50 of them in my life. It doesn't even hit me anymore. Live life close to your family and appreciate them. Time flies. Only only one chance at life. Fuck the regrets and focus on your future. Mistakes only make us stronger abs wiser. Take heed from them.
