Wife thought you looked like a little girl on Little House. Those eyes and mouth reminded her of that little girl when saw you on Fox news. You were a sweet heart back then as a child actress. Our girls loved Little House growing up. Was a great family show that we need more of today!

For people asking about Matt Lauer, this interview was 7 months before the dam broke about his behavior (and Charlie Rose's). Melissa was trying to discretely tell people when she said "I've had other women at other networks," approach her.
She’s a very attractive lady and was a cute child actress. But seriously, as a blonde adult I’d never recognize her in a million years.

Anyone else remember Missi from the 1984 movie - There's Something About Amelia? Subject relating to incest. Strange fact - Michael Landon was offered the part of the father, that ultimately went to Ted Danson. Landon supposedly said that after many years of playing a wholesome, loving, moralistic father type figure characters, that he couldn't possibly take on a role of a father who repeatedly abuses his own daughter. I agree and so glad that he didn't take that role - I wouldn't have been able to look at Charles Ingalls the same way again! Especially given Missi had played the younger daughter - too disturbing.

I haven't seen Testament. I think the only other movies I saw of Roxana's was, I can't remember the title but he was a family living with an abusive, alcoholic father, played by Martin Sheen. Matthew Laborteaux played the brother.
And also the true story of baby Jessica. The kid who fell in the hole in the garden.

ok ! I am Michael Landon's biggest fan! With that said . I have read Melissa's first book and she said that Little House was a corny show! That is so rude as it made her famous! and now she says that Micheal so so cheap! He gave people wonderful Christmas Gifts such as watches etc. Why is she talking about him this way? I will not buy her book. So very sad that she treats such a talented man this way.
I don't think calling someone cheap is always an insult.A persons resources are always limited even though the limit maybe in the millions so saving a bit here and there allows that money to be used for something more important.

Omg I love little house on the prairie, my mom use to watch it every morning everytime she got us up for school in elementary school and junior high school, so I got to watch it before I started walking to the bus stop. It's been apart my life my whole life since the age of 5 to 16, My mom had a huge crush on the legendary Micheal Landon. He was a extraordinary man and actor. I wish he was still around, just imagine how meny television shows he would come up with. He would be a piece maker in these bad times in the world. RIP Micheal Landon.

Many women have spoken up...the repercussions are enormous...loss of career trajectory...blacklisting. This goes on because men, generally, use power for questionable motivations...but the enablers are Human Resources that protect management and their culture on down the line. Human Resources needs to step up and women must be prepared to suffer setbacks from speaking up because this has not changed in years!

There's nothing wrong with keeping that image if that's what you want but Michael Landon was human. It's not fair to anyone, alive or dead, to idolize them. Every actor who worked on that show as a child or adult says Michael was wonderful and a father figure. He was also human and a perfectionist, as artists are known to be. He held that tv family together but he also wasn't a saint and why should he be? Telling the truth about someone doesn't make them bad it makes them real. And that's okay :)
The TRUTH makes Michael no IDOL except for his acting, directing writing ability. In real life he ran around on each wife and children, got a girlfriend pregnant, leave that family and remarry. Once is a mistake but twice is habit and no learning from the first time---3 wives, three sets of children, not enough time to be a proper father while working long days and going home to another house where his other 7 children were not living. All FACTS!
