Rivers of blood is so overused in pvp, still a solid weapon but I smell a nerf soon. I've got every weapon in the game, and I've tried them all. So far many of them have great potential, should be interesting to see when people notices them too :)
There seems to be something wrong with the way how the Rivers of blood damage scales off of the Arcane. Investing points into Arcane with the D scaling increases damage more than investing points into dexterity with the B scaling. But people seems to happily overlook this fact. So yeah.. 'nerf'.
@@AkantorCZ its more goes to how increasing arcane increase bloodlost build up, so instead of raising its actual damage, its increase how fast you can build bloodlost so its making it like it deal so much damage, also remember that rivers of blood have secondary fire elemental damage which scale from arcane more
@@BlwnX29 Well the bloodlost build up should increase with the arcane. Only suspicious thing is that the Corpse Piler is for some reason building bloodloss faster than i.e. Uchigatana with the Double Strike and stat wise higher bloodlost build up. Fire damage is usually str or fai related so I don't see any reason why it should scale better with arc but even so the damage distribution is 50 - 50 physical - fire so why arcane increases overall damage more with 2 tier lower scaling. Something's odd that's for sure.
I wish the dragon scale katanas lighting would stay on the sword just that little bit longer seems to fade off to quickly but definitely has been a great sword since getting it 👌🏼

@@DinosaurThug white reed armor. You find it in a side cave, not sure which one but it's full of summoner snails.
I wear the same thing!!
@@Konghammer1 it's the frozen lake up in the mountain top of the giants
@@Konghammer1 The Spirit Caller Cave near Frozen Lake in Mountaintop of the Giants has the armor, among the spirit wolves of that large foresty area.
Before I say anything, I don't play PVP, and I need this to be known. I am in NG+1 rn I use double rivers of blood just to see how fast I am shred the boss. I know it's not really the best build in the game, especially after the recent patch, but it's still fun.
I'm on ng+ 3 and going for dual rivers. I don't give a damn about how people feel about them they're the shit.
Personally I use hand of Malenia in my main hand (love waterfowl dance) and m.o.b in the other. Makes for a lethal combination.
M.O.B? What do you mean? I am only Level 102 so I don't know all weapons yet...
@@againstthebrokennarrative meteoric ore blade
for the nagakiba u can just kill him and he’ll drop it also if u want i did cuz i wanted that early game advantage
fun fact if you get bloodfire blade and flame grant me strength and you use double slash on the nagakiba it’ll be like we have rivers of blood at home
About the nagakiba. If ever you killed the invader first without knowing its for the quest. Just go back to the first npc with bonfire. That npc will disappear but he will left the nagakiba. Itd actually a shortcut if you just want the sword. Youre welcome
where is the first npc with bon fire ?
@@steeverogers5274 there is no way you will miss that its just right almost in front of you. just keep walking straight
Rivers of Blood is a nod to Lone Wolf and Cub/Shogun Assassin. He says “they will pay with rivers of blood”
love your videos mate! watching them for a long time now and they are never disappointing! thanks for helping us gamers out with great information and gameplay-tips! thats the spirit!
finally someone who tells you how to find these weapons! Very nice video
Do twin blades, halberds, or reapers next.
Thank you soo much bro I’m about to get Elden ring I have played a bit of my friends and the game is amazing I barley know anything about it❤
I was having trouble killing Bloody Finger of Okina but I found a spot where he couldn't get to me. Finally got his weapon! Thank you for the locations.
This is perfect for me because in dark souls 3 I'm a dex katana user so this is perfect for my build
I love the Hand of Melania, definitely my favourite katana, just for the skill.
Dragon Scale sword is my favorite katana mainly bc the Lightning and Frost cloak you get from using the skill
Wakazashi! Im sad you didnt add one of my faavorite bite sized boies! Fantastic video none the less!
I started as Samurai with the Uchigatana and had a great idea! Go to the Deathtouched Catacombs to get another one and dual wield! I think its a great start untill i can get stronger swords😁😁
I love how he uses the blade on the giant and just gets curved stoped
Currently im using moonveil and i love it
for the nagakiba if you’ve defeated elden beast go to where u find the guy the first time & the katana will be there
Where you find the Meteoric Ore Blade, I have never explored the Western side of Caelid, until now. Thank you for putting in the hard work to put these kinds of videos out. It's appreciated.
I defeated Malenia yesterday (not much of a struggle) but that 48 dex minimum requirement "killed" me. I'm currently at 26 and I've come to a moment in game that each attribute point costs 120000 runes. I could use larval tear at the academy of Lucaria but I don't think it's ok to fuck-up my build just for this sword.
Hand of malenia is not that great actually, if you've manage to kill her, your current weapon should be good enough to beat the game entirely.
You don’t have to Do Shabaris quest line, you can find the Nagakiba next to the fire you met him first post game.
I just got this game haven't played it yet I'm getting ready to play it
For anyone who doesn’t want to go on the quest for the Nagakiba you can just kill the guy and you will get it, but I do not recommend because I found the quest pretty fun
I only have Moonveil and the Uchigatana at the moment because they're just fun to use because of Transient Moon and Unsheathe.
So yeah.. 'nerf'.
@@AkantorCZ its more goes to how increasing arcane increase bloodlost build up, so instead of raising its actual damage, its increase how fast you can build bloodlost so its making it like it deal so much damage, also remember that rivers of blood have secondary fire elemental damage which scale from arcane more
If you tried all, which is your favourite to use?
@@lebby7301 high Dex build: Hand of Malenia, multy purpose: nagakiba/uchigatana, arcane build: rivers of blood, melee Int: Moonveil
@@BlwnX29 Well the bloodlost build up should increase with the arcane. Only suspicious thing is that the Corpse Piler is for some reason building bloodloss faster than i.e. Uchigatana with the Double Strike and stat wise higher bloodlost build up. However I don't see any reason for the direct damage to increase more with arc D over dex B. Fire damage is usually str or fai related so I don't see any reason why it should scale better with arc but even so the damage distribution is 50 - 50 physical - fire so why arcane increases overall damage more with 2 tier lower scaling. Something's odd that's for sure.
you can actually get the nagakiba at any point during yuras quest by killing him
This helped me defeat the first boss thank you😁
Imagine my surprise when i went to find my Uchigatana and realize i sold it by mistake lol
Now the question is, can you use both the serpent blade and the rivers of blood? Poison plus bleed build up? Sounds pretty strong to me.
I wish the dragon scale katanas lighting would stay on the sword just that little bit longer seems to fade off to quickly but definitely has been a great sword since getting it 👌🏼
I prefer running powerstance twinblades (eleonoras + Godskin peeler) over katanas. Spamming Rivers of blood art just doesnt feel satisfying to me. Jumping L1 with duel twinblades is so fun
jump l1 is soo op especially with the claw talisman.
How is spamming the jumping L1 different to spamming L2
@@emerystheimmortal417 using L1 you still have to get up close and time your attacks. L2 on Rivers of blood there is no thought process, at least in PvE. You just run up and mash L2 and get off your ranged lock on attack. I don't judge anyone for using it just as a personal preference I get more satisfaction out of jump attacks then weapon arts
@@darklordshuaib Yup, plus the Raptors black feathers chest piece. Add on other buffs like successive attack talisman, white mask, seppuku, golden vow, flame grant me strength etc you can hit crazy damage
Yeah that still sounds like cheese and doesn’t really require anymore skill. It’s like playing street fighter and only doing the jump kick the entire match.
Started with Samurai
Used katanas exclusively
Rivers - Malenia - Nagakiba 👍👍
I already beat the game and the katana was laying at where you first meet the merchant when I went to see if he's there.
They should add a faith based katana
That would be cool
@@iambravvo hoping it'll come in the dlc
Thank you guide really helped
well my friend gifted me Rivers of Blood when I was lvl 18 and he boosted me to lvl 40 so I can use it, now I am about lvl 48 and game is pretty fun but I play game some times I do not want to end game too fast
The don’t get boosted
Just making sure I have them all.
Same
@@CreamyFacial Just say you’re salty he gets to make money playing video games.
@@CreamyFacial hahahaha I am a katana collector and have them all but this video shows ppl were to get all them on one video. Imagine being as salty as you?? I cant, it must suck.

Katana videos now. I’ll watch and like everyone of them. Also hope they add some more katanas so he makes even MORE video on katanas. Yeahhhhh yeahhhhhhh
I've always been drawn to the Katana's since the original Demon Souls. In this game I like the Rivers of Blood. I main Eleanora's Poleblade, but keep ROB on my off hand for emergency situation.
Lol not for emergency situations more like using it when they do so u can show them that it takes no skill to use that
From what I’ve seen online, people sleep on Serpentbone Blade and Dragonscale Blade.
I have a big doubt: it's my first time playing this game. I've never tried dark soul games before, not even bloodborne. I've played monster hunter before and I'm a longsword user. I had this feeling that the weapon I should be using in this game is clearly katanas but, a friend of mine told me I had to invest in strength, vigor and endurance in order to play as a melee character (which I always wanted to do). I was trying heavy swords and I found out they're too slow for me. Of course a heavy sword is better in some situations, that's how I killed the tree sentinel (my first boss). But I invested in strength and not that much in dex. My stats are:
Vigor: 40
Mind: 12
Endurance: 30
Dex:20
Strength: 40
Int: 12
Arc:12
Faith: 12
I just wanna know if I can be a melee character that uses katanas. Please somebody help me with this doubt
Meteoric Ore blade is my favourite.
subscribed! question, what armor is that when showing dragonscale blade? when you have the scarab helm equipped. love your videos thanks!
Really stretching things out to please the algorithm, huh? Gotta hit that ten minute sweet spot.
Duel welding moon veil and rivers of blood and having a blast
Bruh, you must be loved in PvP
W video bro ty so much!
What starting class did you pick?
I have a level 6 moonveil and level 4 meteoric ore blade, should I power stance it or only use moonveil?
Serpentbone is the most ethical:cool R2, double slash L2, and poison ;
I missed out on so much at the Volcano😢. I did the knight but went to boss after. I killed beast champion armor guy because I needed a good set from the start but as soon as I finish up the last few items to get ill start ng+
For the nagahiba it's crazy because I did everything in the order and no dead body
Make sure you talk to him until he starts repeating conversation
I wish there was a faith katana so i could build a holy samurai
Dragon scale blade would be so much cool and more usable in pvp if it’s ash of war was changed. I would think of something like a slash that costs the sword in the lightning and leaves like a frost lightning mist like thing where the slash was
U can also get the nagakiba by going to zumirs ruins at the giants mountain tops and killing him and you get his amor set and his sword
I use the Nagakiba for the range, haven’t beat Melania yet.
Thanks for the info
Re Nagakiba, helped Yura in Academia, got some Ashes of War. Went to Second Church of Marika on Plateu, but there was no Yura just this crazy red-blade guy turned up, managed to beat him. No rewards whatsoever. At least plenty of bloodrose around, waste of time, unless I did sth wrong....Anyway, got pissed off and killed Yura on the bridge. Have my Nagakiba now.
While following the steps for the Nagakiba, I did everything, and then once I got to the church, he wasn't there and there was instead an enemy. Thoughts or help?
Question, would these katanas still be good for other classes like Vagabond?
Finally got all of them
Couldn't get the Nagakiba. Is it because Yura died in the fight at Raya Lucaria? If so is there another way to get the Nagakiba?
