  • What is a dental abscess? Dental abscesses are a mix of immune cells, pathogens such as bacteria like viridans group Streptococcus, and dead tissue. Because there’s no blood supply to the middle of an abscess to deliver antibiotics, it usually needs to be cut open so that the pus can drain out. For periapical abscess, a root canal treatment or extraction has to be performed on the offending tooth. Find our full video library only on Osmosis: osms.it/more.

Dip Q-tip in oregano Oil (don't dilute it) and put it straight on abscess. Hold it for a minute. Then put around tooth. Make sure it doesn't hit back of throat. Be careful. That sounds like the infection is spreading. You need to get some antibiotics soon. Some dentists can help by video call or a phone call. They can send a prescription to the pharmacy for you. As I mentioned take 8 ounces of warm water, small spoonful of salt and stir together. Swish it around your mouth for 60 seconds 3x a day. The salt pulls out the infection.

      @@patriciaroy5013 hey I have a question and you seem to know more than me , 3 days ago I thought I had a toothache but it’s still going , I called me dentist and explained it to him and said since 2018 my back left bottom molar tooth has a deep cavaty and that I will need to wait a week from now to get my toothache checked up , my lower left chin feels painful when I push on it and sometimes when the tooth pain is too much my left ear hurts abit , and the gum right beside my molar tooth is swollen , do u think I might have an abscess inside my tooth ? Or do you think this is just a really sever toothache , btw I’m on day 4 taking antibiotics and my tooth is still in pain .

      The pain that you feel is more than likely from your jaw and not your chin and ear. You should go to a doctor to get the abscess checked to see if you have any sort of infection. I had a root canal done a few years ago to my left molar and a abscess showed up a few days later. My past dentist told me to ignore it and because of that I've been harboring a tooth infection for years and I'm bearly starting treatment for it. Please go to a good doctor to ensure that you don't have a similar issue as mine.

    • @greecelightning1828
      @greecelightning1828 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I wanted to do a root canal but they said they can’t because of COVID , they don’t do them atm , so I might have to remove it when I next feel pain , atm I don’t feel any pain , do you recommend I was my mouth with salt water now to avoid THR abscess coming ??

    2 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of both salt and baking soda, a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (mix all ingredients together). Put a dab of the mixture onto the abcess and let it sit for about 15 minutes, twice a day, and BAM instant relief! It kills the bacteria and relieves the pain 🙌

    Thanks great video. Wondering if someone can provide some reassurance for me?
    One of my teeth had been eroding away at the back, and stupidly I left it not knowing the consequences of doing so. And yep, started to get throbbing pain...
    I have been to a dentist, they scanned it, and said I can have it removed or go for the root canal procedure. I have chosen the root canal.
    But it's in 6 weeks time...that seems along time to leave an infection in my face right? Or is this ok?
    I am healthy, the pain has almost completely subsided, but sometimes my cheek feels a little swollen...but is not red or painful to touch.
    Any reassurance or advice would be much appreciated, thanks. 👍

I just swish vinegar and salt twice a day and brush my teeth thoroughly. Leukoplakia are small white patches that appear on the gums, the insides of the cheeks, the bottom of the mouth, and the tongue. They may thicken or harden overtime, and they can't be scraped off. Many cases of leukoplakia are benign, but some may be precancerous.
