    Thanks for sharing so many different ways for tiling larger projects. I particularly like the second method. Is the margin setting that you mentioned on the last method to give your pieces overlap, e.g. if making a vinyl mask?

    I love your site & have shared it with others. I have a cameo 4 but want to upgrade the Cameo 5 mainly because you have given such great instructions. But I have a question; I want to use the embossing and the foil tools. What are the other main tools, cost and where to buy these? I don't want to sticker shock my dear sweet husband.

      I love the heat pen for foiling. And I've just got my hands on an embossing tool, which I can't wait to play with!

    Hello. I love your videos. I've had a Portrait 2 for many years and it has never given me any trouble. I was almost convinced to buy a Cameo 5 when I started reading about the problems with the pinch roller. What can you tell me about this? Thank you.

      I have seen quite a few posts about broken rollers, myself. I use mine daily and haven't had any issues, so I don't know if it was a bad batch of plastic, user error, or if I just got lucky. I haven't heard the responses given by silhouette. The machines are all under warranty at this point, so I have to assume they are repairing as necessary.

    Please can you explain what convert to path actually mean please.

    • @edwardholmes91
      @edwardholmes91 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The star was drawn as a smart shape, so you can use the handles to adjust the angles on the points etc. Once converted to a path, you can only resize the star.

    In the tiling feature, how would you use this feature to make a longer than 12" decal? Thanks.

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It would be the same process shown in the video. Set up for a12x12 mat, size your design properly, check the tiling active box, and it should do the rest for you.

      @@silhouettesuccess So, don't size the file say 12 x 45 size it 12 x12? Don't understand.

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mikeledee8786 you set your mat and material to whatever size you will be using, then size the design to whatever you need that to be. If your decal is 18x32, then keep it that size. The tiling panel will section it into pieces that hi can line up after its cut.
