My friend of more than 60 years, Dr. Leon Breeden, who, for all practical purposes, built the Lab Band program at UNT would really be proud of this display of his legacy, as would Stan Kenton who willed his entire book to UNT and had spent a couple of decades mentoring the UNT Lab Band graduates. Congratulations to Jay Saunders. Awesome performance!

These musicians are nothing unless they learn and recognize the contributions that Leon Breeden brought to that program.
