Yet another Mitsubishi item that is superior. We bought a pair of audiophile stereo speakers some years ago that we got at a trade show. Knocked our socks off with exceptional sound.
I saw one of these last week at my local gas station. I just watched him and smiled in envy. I see a few regular Delicia's but that was first time seeing the camper. I am so jealous
OMG! i’ve been following the full-time nomad RV channels! Something like this would be a huge huge success! why hasn’t it been marketed in the United States? gas mileage, 4 x 4, to go off road! Perfect for so many of these people who are living in vans etc.!
the beast part about the size, besides physically feeling like a car to drive (and the diesel not being gutless), is that the will easily pass under a _fast food drive thru_ limiter ;)
That's a camper I might get on with! I love L300s and it seems like it's got enough room for me to sleep in! Most RVs have beds that are shorter than I am and since I love to sleep stretched out that's a deal killer for me!
@@evonnebyrd5991 Not actually, like all foreign American made diesels, elected politicians are paid by environmental lobbyists and only allow them to be sold where they can't purchase politicians, and your rights. Sorry to be blunt, but I've traveled the world for my job and rented small diesels made in America that I loved, that were not allowed for me to drive here.
I think this Is the engine i had in a ford escort type car. I put the engine on a stump grinder. The throttle was a motorcycle grip. It was light on D fuel. It lasted as long as 4 new Wisconsin gas engines.
Actually, Mitsubishi never used diesel engines during the 80s Dakkar Rally. They used the 4G54T engine which was succeeded by 4G63T in the 90s and the 6G74T (V6) later on. But the 4D56 is a very reliable workhorse and easy to maintain engine. Parts are also cheap and easy to find since it is commonly used. 👍
Very nice, strange looking but nice, I like the wabasto heater, I own one in my RV, very expressive, reliable dry heat unlike propane, and Wabasto currently is a high end heating unit, some Wabasto units also double as an endless hot water unit and will preheat the engine on cold days, parts are widely available. The power trane (diesel engine), transfer box is a plus. I really liked the Toyota Hilux you had, diesel, straight axel, Generator and everything else, simple, effective easy to drive, I would give my left arm for a Hilux camper. Great video, thanks for the demonstration.🇺🇸✌️
These Japanese micro campers are considerably better designed and built (using better materials and components) than those from US based motor camper manufacturers. They have better ergonomics, use much less space and consume considerably less fuel than US built versions. Your vehicle is in immaculate condition and with only routine maintenance and the replacement of consumables (such as hoses) it should last a very long time.
It does slide back a bit. These cars are most problematic to drive for people with short legs (because they need to slide the seat so far forward their knees hit the steering column when getting in or out) and people with tall upper bodies because their heads will hit the roof. If you're taller than about 6'3" or shorter than 5'4" it might not be the car for you! I'm 6'3" with fairly short legs for that height and can drive it nicely but my slightly taller brothers have trouble.
A lot of the interior is the same as the items used in the factory Toyota LiteAce/TownAce CM65 Camper (not the Compo). Those seat are the same, the heaters is the same, the vents are the same. The earlier models dont have those fancy combination windows.
No hot water shower and manual transmission. Deal breakers in any RV. Too bad, because I really like these tiny Japanese Campers. It is interesting to note almost all of the current versions of these Japanese micro-campers have automatic transmissions on them.
I agree I would rig hot shower but the manual transmission is is a huge selling point to me.. it is superior to auto trans in every way!!! But we have like two generations of Americans that have never seen 3 pedals on the floor
Get the dramamine! Too much camera movement.....back and forth and zoom in and zoom out......getting nauseous! Would also be nice to stand back occasionally to get a bigger picture of the layout of things.
I personally prefer that all of the seat adjustments and hideaway features are manually operated. We have become way too lazy thinking that its a positive to have everything electric and computerized. The amount of things that can break and be costly to fix… for what? I would buy something like this over a modern RV any day
You can! They are getting imported and sold in a small handfull of importers/dealers in the US. A few in the Northwest and at least one in Maryland i heard about.
Imagine this 1995 and is so ahead of its time. Great video!
Or the "modern" ones are just not very innovative any more🙂
It only appears ahead of its time to those used to the crappy RV's of the American market. This is very contemporary of the Asian RV market.

Thank you, a good man!

yep, they are :) and already going for 3x the price of 2 years pre lockdown
Love these Japanese Campers. Efficient. Wish they sold them here.
If you voted for a democrat you voted for these beautiful diesels to be outlawed in the land of freedom- once known as America.
Just saw one on the street and decided to look into them
I love these smaller Japanese campers. A real shame they weren't sold here, especially the modern ones they make.
the beast part about the size, besides physically feeling like a car to drive (and the diesel not being gutless), is that the will easily pass under a _fast food drive thru_ limiter ;)
Man this camper looks so nice for being a 1995. The interior is amazing and seems so c!ean. One of the nicest ones I have seen in a long time.
What a cutie-pie, inside and out!

the fact the dinette had cup holders. I swear that need to be a thing.
I have just watched a 1982 version and I wrote she was a beauty that goes for this one too
Ive seen the window screen/shade combos in a few new truck campers. Great idea, very simple, very compact
Agreed, they are perfect
I wish they made more modern versions of that same size rv It seems all the recent ones are built in Japan but nothing in the US
As long as we keep paying high dollar for the cheep American made stuff they will never make it here.look what they get for overland stuff

i like this :) but i would do a little upgrade > settings some solar panels on the roof; remove all gas things ...
Actually you need a quite lot solar and battery to equally compete the gas things in power output
Previous owner must have loved his baby. So pristine.

Love this. Exactly what I've been wanting. Manual diesel.
Starts like a glove
Cosby sweater inspired upholstery is hideous!
I'm in the Phillipines I'm opting to live in this on my girls property and travel all around the Phillipines
I love the windows i wish American RVs would get these. You need screens. I love the over head bed wow a whole family could sleeps there.
i love these elf campers thanx im gonna get one.

Omg I would of totally bought this. I love this. 💘 I'm sure after a year it's gone
holy christ i thought you were in canada so glad i finally read a little more this is great
That is one of the cutest, coolest original camper vans ive ever seen. Great condition too. IF by any chance it’s still for sale, please contact me
Really need to start remaking these compact campers
I would love to buy one like this. I own a 1992 Delica L300 4X4
Got a nice 1990 Toyota Itaska, been busy tricking it out. Thanks for the look.
They should make more of these cuties!!!!
Right hand drive and stick I could never drive it
But it's pretty and you are great with the camera.
This is gorgeous
If I could I would buy it. Great car👍
This is like the greatest ever. It speaks Japanese? Too awesome. Suki des
Only in my dreams I can have this

I love this camper build, it looks so awesome. Tho the back of my mind says its just a japanese Winnebago, it looks so flappable. lol
these would be perfect for the UK
"You can sleep like 3 adults" ... nice
They really put every litle detail in it.!!amezing!!!!!
Love the camera guy
Praise these kampeng car bradr
I need this in Australia!
Super cute and so clean💕💕💕
nice rig, take good care of it
That’s a beauty that!
My in-laws have a fourteen-year-old RV and they have those windows but without the ugly latches
I want that left hand drive with a pickup bed. To replace my '82 datsun 720.
How roomy is the cockpit? How far back can the drivers seat slide? It looks pretty restricted, but overall I love this thing!
It does slide back a bit. japan make efficient and practical things.
🙌🏽🙌🏽😍 Love this!! If only I knew how to drive a 5 speed😩
Theres some motivation to learn!
Diesels are easier on the clutch and easier to learn on, just a tip!
American problems 😄. But actually i never drove anything automatic - European problems 😊
The dinette seats remind me of airline seats
my dream...solo camper
Show us the overall layout!
So i can park this anywhere? without having be in a RV place? i can be parked at walmart?
At 16ft long it will be shorter than most trucks!
Very cool but that pink stripes gotta go😃
Its cute. I like it.
Awesome little camper

Mitsubishi 😎❤️❤️🇯🇵
Very cool
I'm shocked this video highlighting a 25 yr old RV has over 92,000 views.
I'm surprised how much better thought out this little thing is then almost any RV I've seen in the US
Нету лучше велика, чем мицубиси делика👍👍👍

How do I get one of these in Australia
Aussie here as well. There's a few places that import these and other vehicles. Google will tell you who
Do I still use my Left foot for the clutch?
I wish we can have this in USA.
You can! They are getting imported and sold in a small handfull of importers/dealers in the US. A few in the Northwest and at least one in Maryland i heard about.
The catch is that they have to be old. 25+ years I believe.
Nice! What's the cost ?
Cool van
"never been smoked in" (ashtray full of ash) lol
how much did this sell for?
Отличный обзор. Спасибо
What are you asking in price for this camper?
Price is listed on our site. Ottoex.com
OttoEx Dang, it’s sold
Soo nice
Can it be made legal in USA? Emissions? Right hand drive?
This is 100% road legal in the USA.
Eh? Did you think a right hand drive vehicle is not road legal in America?
Does the dinette convert to a bed?
Is the gas pedal on the left or right side geez even first gear goes left. Confusing. Pass. Otherwise nice rig. No ac?
Awesome, sorry it’s already sold’
MommaFaye 🌺
What are you going to ask for it? How many miles? Very informative video. Ok know where to go but how long is it and miles?
Weight?
Cool, what was the wheel base
Where is the doors from bathroom?
