    Great work and don't forget to grind down the valve stem from 3mm down to 2mm for more flow! Also you can remove a couple of mm from the valve spring guide for more volume! trrobb sells a longer valve stem too, 1.5mm longer

    This is phenomenal next level work mate. I’m a hobbyist starting to tinker myself with these rifles. Liked and subbed !

    Jumping on lathe to do this power mod wish now. Hopefully I don't bugger it

      Just watch the depth and diameter so you don't take it too far!

      @@edaggs1677 lathe I had access to didn't have a good cutter for depth. Cut the thread down remove the thread on the inside and opened up the other side .but still what a power increase cant wait to finish the depth off at some stage

    do you know if anyone is making 22 hollow probes? I've drilled out my ports to 4.5mm and occasionally I'll get a pellet that nose dives into the port. If I press down on the top part of the skirt while I insert the pellet (so that the pellet tilts up slightly) then I don't have this issue, but I really like your hollow probe approach.

      I haven't seen any commercially available but any gun smith or machinist could easily build one using the standard probe as a template, you just have to make sure the hole in the bottom of the probe lines up perfectly with your TP.

    how did that .25 go ?? love the bolt probe ! have you tried that in .22 ??

    • @edaggs1677
      @edaggs1677  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On 12gr co2 carts it ended up at around 22fpe, which is a fantastic result. Unfortunately this one was a build I was doing for someone else and I sent it off to him before doing a final performance video!. I have used these probes in .22 cal as well when doing larger TP holes, it works very well.

      @@edaggs1677 what would be your basic price to supply me one in .22 have already increased TP to 4.5mm , and would you need me to send the bolt ?

    Is it possible to change a .22 to .177 by simply swapping out the receiver etc. with that from the .177 smk? Thanks 🙏

    • @edaggs1677
      @edaggs1677  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just the barrel, mag and probe would need to be swapped, maybe a little fine tuning on the TP too

    are you still using the co2 bulb

      Yes, this one will start on the 12gram cartridges and see how it performs. I'm expecting 20ish fpe and 15ish shots

    Is that valve really strong enough whith that much material removed?
    You'd think most of these rifles have been engineerd and not have excess material and threading to reduce cost.
    Hope I'm wrong tho xp
    Anyway looks great, love vid's like these.
    Also incase people wonder about turning the cr600w into a PCP, just look for the pr900w.
    It's the same airgun but a factory PCP version that's only like 20$ more expensive.

    • @5Komma5
      @5Komma5 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This rifle comes in CO2 and PCP (Diana Stormrider). The parts of the gun are almost identical since they are mass produced and it is cheaper to not to retool for minor changes. Maybe different springs strength but the valve assembly is the same. In PCP form the assembly must withstand at least 200bar but at 21C CO2 only has around 62bar of pressure.
      That's why you should be fine doing this with CO2 but should probably not remove as much/any material from the valve of the PCP version.

      @@5Komma5 you are exactly right!.. I have 3 Diana chasers and bandit and I've done these valve mods and more to my Bandit pcp in .22 getting 27.34 FPE....

    Did you opened valve TP to 6mm??

    • @edaggs1677
      @edaggs1677  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      5mm, all the way from the valve, tp, breech, barrel and the flow through probe.
