I had a bad ortho for 4 1/2 years, all my braces did was worsen the way my smile looked, braces were put on wrong and it gave me gum issues, was mistreated and was yelled at a lot for things like I wasn’t facing the right way etc. I had to go to a new ortho and was told all of this wasn’t right bc I thought it was normal. I was told I have to get my old braces taken off, get 4 teeth pulled surgically, and have to go through 2 more years of Invisalign, I get rlly anxious now going to an ortho or the dentist bc of this experience, but without you explaining how braces should be, I would still be in that situation so thank you so much Bentist

Fun fact, my father was born with his two front teeth. I wish I was able to get ahold of the newspaper clipping but it disappeared when my grandma passed away. I and all four of my kids had our first two baby teeth by 4 months old

Omg I had the braces with the doors on the brackets and my terrible ass teeth were fixed in 15 months and all my friends who had the ones with bands holding them on , had like literally a whole year or so longer in their braces and they had better teeth before braces than I did lol . OMG 😭 So my mom was THE ONLY oral maxillofacial surgeon in our town and anytime someone my age came in, she used that as an opportunity to ask them if they knew me and would try to hook me up with some of the guys at my school who never talked to me…. I don’t know how many times I heard “Hey! Your mom took my wisdom teeth out.” But it was humiliating.

A few years back then, my brother had to take out his tonsils because he was having a hard time breathing and he wasn’t talking to much. So he had to get a check up and see what was going on and he had a really thick place of tonsils. He had to get surgery and once it was taken out another problem popped up, for some reason he had to stay at the hospital for a few weeks and found out he had pneumonia and a few weeks then he recovered safely.

This is going to be a short story.
So a couple months ago I figured out that I had to get braces, I was so upset and scared but I started watching your channel and it changed everything,I ended up getting a pallet expander and I have 5 more days and then I get my braces and now instead of being scared I’m so excited to have braces! Thank you so much bentist for making me excited for this!!❤️
I am going through the same thing!! I got my braces today after having a pallet expander. Some things to expect are a bad taste, soreness, and poky wires. So with the bad taste you have this thing in called a mouth retractor that keeps your mouth open, so when they put in the chemicals that glue it you can’t spit it out so you get this really bad taste in your mouth. Expect your mouth to be sore, you’re lucky if it isn’t. If you have a poky wire TELL THEM. A poky wire causes misery. I had to drive back to the ortho today cuz I didn’t tell them, so my mouth was bleeding.

i might get pre braces or spacers next year and im pretty worried, but the bentist just makes it all better❤
I had a top and bottom spacer and it was pretty much okay but i will tell you that i had to be careful with sticky food

Both my canines are impacted plus one baby tooth without a counterpart so seeing that one TikTok helped me figure out what’s gonna happen to me! Already in braces waiting to schedule surgery, hopefully it all goes well 😁

I bought the listerine breath strips for my dry mouth (due to my medication for hyperhydrosis as I’m allergic to heat/perspiration) and when I put that bad boy in my mouth it turned into a swimming pool full of saliva so if y’all ever need some dry mouth remedies fast.. yeah 😳 it doesn’t help that I also have burning mouth syndrome so ya listerine is spicy 🥵

When I was younger I broke my arm and the thing I was the most worried about was the Bonesaw that was cutting the cast when I had to get a new one until I found out that it doesn’t actually hurt in fact if anything it tickles and once I found that out it was fun I liked getting my cast taken off and once I no longer got it first of all obviously I was happy but second of all I kind of miss getting that bone saw because The Bonesaw was always fun just watching your cast parts go flying all over the place if anything it was entertaining and if you still read this point, please comment so I can have the notification and ... make my phone go boom.

When I first got my braces, the first couple hours didn’t hurt at all. But after that, I couldn’t even eat jello. The pain literally gave me a headache and I had to stay home from school

I love how this is exactly 11 minutes and 11 seconds and I have 0 teeth basically. I got 7-9 pulled a few months ago and my teeth take about 3 years to come in. Nice vid! (I can’t eat, I have one tooth to chew and I have two front teeth)

To those who are going through orthodontic treatment ( like braces, pallet expanders etc.) You will get through it!! When I was in 4th grade i had got a pallet expander and tightenings were the worse but i eventuall got used to it! Now i am in 6th grade and have braces! I only have a few on the top row and getting a full set and turbos (things to help me not bite my brackets) in april! What my point is, although it may hurt at first, it won't hurt forever.
