My band teacher has moved schools and I was already 3 years into Trumpet, yet no one told me this. We haven’t gotten any band teacher since he left, so it was just some random student telling us what songs to play and to practice at home. This channel is a life saver.
i'll never forget the time that my band director made the french horn section sing our note because we couldn't play it in the right partial. After singing it we played it all perfectly.
Im not in band but im in color guard so i get to see alot of the musixal instruction to the marching band and they sing things instead of playing it like probably weekly
I was playing a hard price once and got super frustrated and unmotivated to where I was almost crying in the middle of class. My band teacher came over, played with me to help me stay with everyone, but he didn't play the hard part so that I would. He told me that he was proud of me afterwards. I was extremely comfortable with that part after that
hey if you have any questions let me know man, i am a flute player learning baritone for DCI and i went from sounding like literal shit to sounding fantastic in 6 months and im getting even better now. if you want help I can give u my # or something and you can send me videos and ill critique you.
Sometimes when I play trumpet I sound exactly like a professional trumpet player and it gives me a huge confidence boost while playing. I love those days
Thank you so much, sometimes when we play for long periods of time my lips start going limp so it always sounds like this! I’ll definitely will be using this next time i get tired and forgot to how to play 😅
I love playing the national anthem. It’s so fun for mellos. We got the counter melody (I think?) and we get to do the “AND THE ROCKETS RED GLARE (is it flare? Meh. Don’t matter. All that matters is that WE PLAY IT!!)! THE B0MBS BURSTING IN AIR!” Part.
I’m currently learning trombone as a college student for my old hs’ band concert and something i realized was singing it in tune then taking that thought into playing made my playing in tune and full(according to soundcorset)

We as a marching band would sing our parts as we learn our spots.
My woodwind teacher’s motto: If you can sing it, you can play it!
I think this is great advice but then there's people like me who can't sing very well and can play my instruments wayyyy better than I can sing haha

*Proceeds to sing Axel F theme*
"if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball"

Baritone really sucks
@@WalmartBag257WHAT it’s so easy AND fun, what’s to hate about it

This helped so muchn
Wonderful 😮❤
Breath support! Nice!
This is a big thing that makes music easier for me the second thst i hear it from me humming or singing it i can play it ten times better
My old band teacher made us sing at the start of every class, he was onto something
It sounded so good the teacher saluted

Yeah, this and longtime practice and you’ve got a perfect sound
Yes, one sort of sings into wind instruments usually without using the vocal cords although that is sometimes done for effect.
Our band teacher always says, for the national anthem, “Day-Today”

I just played the is song in my concert tonight!
As a bass clarinet player, I can assure you that this is NOT exclusive to trumpet, but also is used for tuning rather than for “sounding better”
OMG, HE PLAYED AN THE BEST GREAT UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 😱🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🛢️🛢️🛢️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💵💵
That’s why our visual teacher in marching band makes us sing reps of our show before we play.
So what im hearing is being in choir gives me a head start for brass instruments
very useful, and i've tried it :) IT WORKS :0
The only thing in my head is the Metamorph solo
Okay, but what do you do if you're a percussionist 💀
Practice, practice, practice
It works like a charm
Hit the pad harder. It works like a charm
Use these sticks, it works like a charm.
Hit closer to the middle, it works like a charm
Use 4 mallets, it works like a charm.
Try whipping the stick, it works like a charm
You 4 snare sticks, it works like a charm.
Use 6 mallets, it works like a charm
Use 8 mallets, it works like a charm
SINGGGG XD
Learn how to subdivide better in your head dawg keep listening to that constant 64th note
I’m learning this rn!! I’m in seventh grade symphonic
my band director said something similar, “you play as good as you look”
Seems accurate enough to actually work
Bro I need to know how to pretend to sound bad like I couldn’t play with such horrible quality if my life depended on it. Also love your playing man 😃
MURICA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅🦅
playing this on flute is sm fun i love hitting the high notes like d and c

I have been in choir my entire life, and am moving into college to be an opera singer, and I can assure you, it is 100% the same concept with us 😅

Germany 🙋🙋
One HUMONGOUS tip, is to make the students make a “to” sound so it reflects the embechure of how you play
What trumpet do you have? I have getzen 300 series, bach 37 and schilke x4 these trumpet are the ones I remember
Bro pulled that hat out of his inventory
This is
How to rick roll people 2 times
Sing it and then blow the tone in to the horn there u have it it super use ful
I'm taking some notes for my trombone-
It's the same thing with hte kazoo. You have to play some certain type of "tuh" to make a melody
This is the only thing I remember from when I still took Flugelhorn lessons, or however that thing is called I dont speak english.
My director says "nothings too hard, just too fast"
My conductor says this to every instrument, not just brass
so what are the buttons for if not for changing the note?
I have to play and singing it so i best now it
I need more instruments. How easy is trumpet
My problem is getting the sound to come out though I know what I’m supposed to play
Sprinting
I haven’t played that type of the banner yet… who’s it written by?
