There are also HDMI switches that route the single incoming signal to only one of several HDMI TVs.

So the laptop "thinks" there is only a single monitor connected, but the splitter duplicate the image.. That's not good if you want to have different settings for each display, like different resolution or refresh rate.
Yeah, you can't use a splitter for that purpose. You'll need a usb3 - hdmi converter if you want additional displays. Make sure you have usb3 ports on you computer though.
hit the key you use to switch between different modes (for me it's fn + f4) and then hit arrow key up (or down) and then enter. Repeat this severel times until you get your main display mirrored on other screens.
Hmmm, my old desktop had 2 vga ports and my old laptop I would connect it to another screen via hdmi, I don't know how I'm going to choose between so many options that are out now a days. There is a plethora of options for multi display xD

Is it more cpu or gpu demanding to have both screens, currently i have a tv conecvted via vga to my laptop and only use the tv but i want to have both for some programs to show on the laptop. Would it affect the performance?
Yea, but i have the same spliiter but what i want is working on total 3 screens without 2 screens with the same image. So we have here 3 different monitor, but 2 of them has the same image..

You can in the settings when your in display (windows) idk about with this particular splitter but if you just output from the laptop from hdmi you can pick which is main and which is not

no it's not possible, you can only have the Winamp on the laptop and the lyrics on the other 2 screens
