I've loved watching all the transit TH-camr Cameos across the REM opening videos. Goes to show how popular the REM and gives me hope it'll inspire change in the rest of NA
Nice video! Glad you got to ride it (I saw you on the Friday but didn't say hi). A small clarification: it's not that buses aren't allowed on the Champlain Bridge now. In fact, there is still at least one bus from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (the 96L) that uses the bridge. It's that the REM has exclusivity over a large swath of territory now, as part of the conditions for its operation. Buses from RTL and exo that originate in this exclusivity territory are the ones that can't go on the bridge, and they are obligated to instead feed into the REM. Something similar will happen once the branch to the airport opens in a few years; the 747 from YUL to Lionel-Groulx will legally not be allowed to run anymore. I think the 204 will still be able to have a stop at the airport, but that's not a useful one for tourists, and I'm not sure about any of the other routes that go to the airport 209, 460, 405, etc); I wouldn't be surprised if several of them are also no longer able to run.
Hey, you got a shot of me! I'm the guy in the bright green shirt and ball cap.
