Its all in your head, your not an artist. Your living in a fantasy world created by the mainstream and TH-cam. All your paintings are for kids. You have a choice to make, you can recieve some proper art education or continue paintng like a child. If this is the path your taking, stick to Acrylic paint its cheaper and dries faster. Its getting really annoying seeing this crap recommended to me on TH-cam, whist i am trying to search for actual artists. TH-cam used to be a platform of decent information, not its all censoring and pumping garbage into the world.
@@AlpayEfe 🎨😂 You can laugh all you want mate, your not a real artist. Your paintings are like pokemon and hello kitty. Its not masterful, and it does not demonstrate skill or creative intelligence. "If it doesn't work out, you can always repaint it." Was something my perfectionist brain needed to hear. Thank you for showing us the process of your beautiful work!
Do more "lazy way" videos! 😅 In addition to your artwork being INSANELY good? I love your bluntness, sense of humor, and how much you love pop culture. I also find your voice incredibly soothing as well. Love love the painting! (As always!) ❤
she looks so regal🥰 And thank you for saying artist dont always have a meaning to what they create, sometimes we just want to create a cool pretty piece 😝
As an artist, I always start off with an idea in my head, start to Paint, and it never ends up how I pictured it in my brain. There’s never really a concept to begin with, but as I painted and finish it, the concept just reveals itself. Love your channel, and love your honesty 😊
To be honest, I hate the painting and keep going until I love it. But what you said about knowing when to finish it. So true if you keep going you’ll end up ruining it, or hating it again and you don’t want to finish it.bloody hell. Love from Australia.
I often start painting with just a hint of an idea. Trust me you can repaint the same canvas many times & still end up with something beautiful. I don't do this all the time...I usually start with a thumbnail. Then Black and white comp. Then a color comp & maybe a final comp...with this process it usually flows quite smoothly.
I don't think I've ever felt so strongly about a painting! I LOVE this painting, and am excited to have been able to watch it happen! Thank you! Also, your honesty regarding painting, and the process of painting is SO encouraging!
This is absolutely incredible, the colours work beautifully together! I love the golds and blues - also the little tease we got about the digimon painting 👀 it's also really calming to hear you struggle with finishing your works too - that really seems to be pretty common; thank you for the solid advice at the end! It really is that simple, if you think about it... if it's done it's done!
I love this painting so much! My half brother was born in the year of the dragon. I think for Chinese people the year of the dragon is just extra special. Glad you found some inspiration from it.
I got CHILLS…it looks like a Chinese calligraphy painting come alive. It genuinely looks like the painting is moving within the frame that you created with the dragon’s bodies. Including the less rendered body of the dragon on the side is what gives it this sense of reanimating from 2d to 3d. And I love the blend of East Asian and Western influences. For example, asiatic dragons are usually more serpentine and western dragons look more like giant dinosaurs with wings. Including that was such a nice touch. And the music at the end 🙆 Epic.
haha! Exactly 0:38 People forget...art serves as a tool for relaxation, creativity and just being passionate about creating something. Too many people 'imagine' there is always a hidden meaning or something behind it. A lot of my digital art pieces are just something I wanted to do and took all of a minute to decide on- the initial idea. As I work, the idea can take a different form as I cannot visualize, but usually I don't like thinking about some big piece of information behind a piece. I like your work. Well done.
I love every painting you do, even the ones you think are not perfect. You have a style that is so unique and all your own, and it's beautiful and special! Thank you for sharing. Also, your commentary is always so soothing to me for some reason. I love your perspective and thoughts on being an artist! 👍
Congrats, excellent work, I personally love live presentations, for example, at minute 5:33 a fascinating visual effect occurs while you are painting, a woman stops in the background, and for a moment it seems to integrate into the painting where she is wearing something like the dragon mask for a second I was struck by the fortuitous and interactive circumstance, very cool The year of the Dragon, greetings from Minnesota USA
I just have to say your art is so beautiful and you’re very talented and you inspire me every time I see your videos and posts to keep going and wanting to create art.
Thanks for pointing out that you don't need some huge emotional concept to produce a great painting. Some TH-cam artists just get sooo caught up in documenting their personal angsty art journey that even though they are great painters, I've ended up losing interest in their channels. It was nice to hear the message to just take an idea and see where it goes. I haven't painted in years, but really wanted to get back to it. However, I just had some fun little ideas without deep symbolism - So I figured it wasn't worthwhile and put off starting them. I'm going to try to get some done this year. Just to see where it goes.
just love it! such a beautiful painting. and you are right... we call it "overstyling" in graffiti scene... happens quite often... and it is a dance with the devil to find the right moment to stop
This video got recommended to me and I just couldn't look away. As someone who wants to start with oil paints I truly appreciate the honesty behind the process, the insight of the artist's mind. It was very much needed. Thank you for being real for all of us.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE painting! It is absolute PERFECTION! When I get to nearing the end of a painting I have to first, walk away. Leave it be for about a week or so. Turn the painting to the wall if you need to continue working, but a break is a good idea. After that, you WILL come back to it with fresh eyes. You may immediately see what needs to be done to finally sign the painting. Other times, you may have to try different views of the painting in order to see if something needs correcting (hue, value, chroma). After ALL THAT, comes my "WTF?" test. If you've done everything you needed to do, and you're still uncertain whether it's done, take a critical eye across your entire painting, and ask yourself if at any place you think "WTF?" I've found this to be rather effective, because it takes the emotion out of it. As we know, it's at this *fiddly* point where overworking might very well ruin it. FINALLY, after everything is DONE, sign it, put the brush down, and slowly back away. WELL DONE, Alpay!👏👏👏👏👏
Having watched several of your videos it is greatly appreciated that you're very honest about all that goes into painting. Being new to the community it's definitely not always dandy and fun. Many thanks!
4:58 "I was talking more than I was painting, so I was surprised I got so much done" ......it is quite the interesting experience of drawing while not consciously paying attention to what you're drawing, either thinking about something else entirely, or talking to someone .....and funny enough, your hand and brain are still guided by an artistic instinct. It's quite fascinating.
WIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW!!!! THAT IS A STUNNING PIECE, ALPAY! It's just so gorgeous! So happy for you! Thankyou for you advice and encouragement to us all. 😊
I have to admit this was very suspenseful! When he started working on it again from home I thought it was going to be ruined : ( but it turned out amazing : ) Just Beautiful!!!
I'm glad that you stay in your way of making videos. The more I think about it, for me you are the current Bob Ross. You got that vibe, but with your own style.

I can never forget how hard you’ve worked to reach this point of painting competency. Slaving away for hours and hours, at first making practically no money only to build and build up to this point of success. You’re amazing! So talented and hardworking.
Oh my gosh! I feel so validated XD I am always, forever, painting something and then redoing it and then doing something different and then going back to the first thing etc, etc... until I get the look I wanted or decide I've learned enough to finish this one and start a new one with the new ideas I accidentally gave myself while painting the first one.
This painting turned out so well! I love the contrast of the angry dragons and the beautiful face, plus the various textures. Looking forward to your next dragon painting. BTW, I do appreciate your dry, deadpan sense of humor 😄
I'm glad for this video, I have been asked several times for the 'meaning' behind certain pieces and while I do have some meaningful art, for the most part, it is just things that are fun to me to paint! I'm also working on a Year of the Dragon inspired piece, yours is wonderful!
It was great to see the process in this video (and the end result) after watching you start the initial stages at Creative World. And it's refreshing to just watch a great painting come to live, instead of forcing a story or meaning into it. Art for the sake of enjoying making it 🙌🏼

Don't get me wrong, commissions are awesome, but they usually entail another's vision and your talent to get a piece they want. I'm glad you went with dragons. I have been thinking about dragons a lot and didn't realize it was the year of the dragon. Thank you for another wonderful experience, and your insights are always appreciated.
