@n4002 my bad. It's "GTO Engineering" that does the Ferrari 250 GT Revivals that I was thinking of - and not DK Engineering. Though I'd pump the brakes on saying it's beyond Lazante Limited, their race car engineering is legendary. Also a few years ago they turned a Mclaren P1 into a spider and made it look like it was a factory option.
You would think that after watching the 1 hour episode 3 or 4 times, there would be no point in watching this episode, but I did anyway. 🤣 I can’t get enough of this car. Coming up with a good look for the rear cover on the transaxle seems challenging. I think if it matched the cast aluminum look of the transaxle, that would look good. Maybe some gray wrinkle powder coat? And leave the Ferrari emblems smooth so they stand out. Just a thought.
Turned out sweet. Daryl seems really excited about it. I had my hands in it many times over the years. It took many directions and many motor changes from the 348 to the 360. Lots of chassis changes but it finally found some legs. Nice work. I will have to come down and see it and the new shop.@@JustDriven
My favorite Ferrari of all time and now it's a restomod... makes it better alltogether and more attainable (won't say affordable as that will hurt some people).
@@JustDriven Not building one today. Need to finish other things first but once those make way, I'd really like to have a 288 based off a stretched 308/328. The way labor costs are going up though, it may be now down to a pipe dream and just settle with my F355
Second to the Testarossa the 288 GTO is my favorite Ferrari from the 80’s, can’t wait to see this thing when it’s done 🔥
You'll hear it before you see it!
This is something DK Engineering in the UK would do to a 308 and I'm here for it 👍👍
Heck yah! Thank you.
DK Engineering doesn't make such a complicated work!
It's beyond Lazante too what is in this video🏁

We love to see all types of amazing builds and work. We can appreciate it.

Thank you so much for the watch! We tried to chop the longer version down for anyone who might have commitment issues.
If it's a dream car being built then I believe everything should be built to your spec how you want it
Thank you sir.
YEEEEESSSS FINALLY after one year of waiting ❤❤❤
Thank you for your patience!
@@JustDriven I know it's not easy, but love the work!
This might be a 750k$ or more.
Easily.
The craftsmanship in this is incredible. Oh how I'd love to have one of these replicas to daily to and from work. Amazing work!
Thank you so much for the kind words.
What a beautiful project. The 288 GTO and F40 are just quintessential Ferrari.
They are two of our favorite Ferraris of all time.
Indeed, though the F40 is a highly modified 288 GTO.
It's come a long way and many many changes. It evolved into a beautiful machine. I'd hate to see the dollars and time involved
We shudder a little when we think about it. In the end though we are so in love with how it turned out we can't really complain.

Thank you. You should come check it out. Waiting on the upholstery next. So we don't have to sit on the floor.
Neah leave it loud...let the people know turbo Ferrari's can be extreme ❤❤❤
We worry for the faint of heart. We don't need to cause any heart attacks!
@@JustDriven 😂 atleast they saw a sexy car before you know...😅
haha... "officer they were like that before we even arrived."
Dream car:250 GTO SWB in black🖤
Great taste!

We love this thing. And so happy you're diggin' it too.
One of the best car ever
❤️🐌
Job incroyable 😍
Merci pour vos gentils mots.
As an Italian, the two Ferraris that really appeal to me are the one in the video and the 355 spider...
That is some great taste you have!
It reminds me of the show magnum PI. Now you know how old i am😂
It's similar to Magnum's car. But you can't be as old as most of us here! You're in good company!
Amazing 👌
Thank you so much!
I have a lot of dream cars it depends what brand. In ferrari i love the F40 and the Testarossa and the 288 GTO and the Dino 246
Those are all some amazing Ferraris. A couple of the guys here are dying to build an F40 or and F50.
..this makes my bank account ache.....always thought the 288 GTO's were great looking cars but i think i'd just go buy a 488 pista.
At this point it's more a labor of love than having an off-the-lot-car.
“What’s the retail on one of those?”
More than a Supra for once.
100% would do it. In fact....
In fact? Are you going to build one?
