  • Ruth Rogers is chef and owner of River Café Restaurant (London).
She is one of the UK’s most famous chefs and one of only 50 women game-changers in food. Hear her talk on the River Café's story from a tiny place on the river Thames to the iconic place it is today.
    ABOUT
Ruth Rogers is co-founder and chef of Michelin-starred restaurant River Café in London, where renowned chefs like Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Tobie Puttock, and April Bloomfield learned how to cook in their early careers. Together with her business partner, the late Rose Gray, Ruth Rogers has helped change eating habits in the UK, influenced and inspired cooks and chefs across Britain and the world. Their vision for fresh, seasonal food was revolutionary when introduced in the late 1980s, and has now become core to the menus of most of the top restaurants in the world.

She looks just like her husband. She also reminds me of Linda McCartney. Similar long face and style of speaking. Boring.

She's on BBC radio at the moment: for at least 5 minutes I honestly thought I was listening to Catherine O'Hara from Schitt's Creek
