Wow, I didn't even know this was a thing. I've had a few matches now where this has happened, but I just thought it was the servers being shit. It's sad that people are using this, but its even sadder that Niantic knows about this bug and hasn't done anything to fix it.
Waiting for Niantic to put it on the list of Known Issues and say it's fixed when it clearly isn't.
3 years and same bug still works sums up about how serious Niantic are about this game.
I have almost stopped playing GBL(Played some 60 battles this season so far). And whole reason for me to play this game is GBL.
I’ve had people flip out on me for saying this is still live. These slow downs always happen when I have someone on the ropes and I lose a match I had in the bag.
so gald this is coming back to light. the sooner this gets fixed, the sooner the ragequit app closing lag will be fixed as well, as I believe they are one in the same
I've also been getting a bug for awhile now (since a day or two before the Little Galar Cup ended) where I noticed that sometimes my active Pokemon's fast move's animation would display not just from my Pokemon, but also my opponent's despite their Pokemon not having access to that move, getting the animation for the move the actually have on top of it, and speeding up the animation of the bugged move to match the speed of the actual fast move the mon is using.
Example, I have a Snarl Mandibuzz, the opponent has a Tackle Bronzor. Every time it Tackles it also plays the animation for Snarl coming from the Bronzor.
This seems to mostly happen with my 3 turn charge moves (so right now my Mud Slap Claydol being the primary offender) which makes Psywave look even funnier when I have the Claydol out because it fires out Mudslaps at lightning speed. But I believe I've also had it happen with my Malamar's Psywave. It was confusing at first, but now it's mostly annoying. I submit a bug report with video evidence, but they didn't even do anything other than say 'sorry that happened' and 'thank you for sharing'.
This was probably even more relevant in little galar cup where you could play for the timeout with shuckle and bronzor...
I was wondering why I was encountering so many "laggy" scenarios in the game, and then they'd be able to swap like 10 seconds early compared to myself when, on occasion, we'd swap simultaneously.
Battled them earlier this season, saw they were cheating straight away, reported them to Niantic a few weeks ago. Hopefully they now take it seriously. They were running Malamar +Gweez Overheat before to take extra advantage of the switch timer being up
So that's why I lose my 150 points today

I recently had a crazy experience where a Ho-Oh in the master league used Blizzard, Earthquake and Brave Bird all in the same match. So 3 charged moves + Hi-Oh doesn’t even learn Blizzard in Pogo…

I’ve lost a lot of matches like this at the very end. They stall it as I’m about to use the killing blow.
I've had that issue. If my game stalls after I power up my charge move, I do that just to make my game work properly again. That's the only reason I do it. It tends to fix the issue. Niantic just doesn't care about PVP. They messed up the premium reward system, which removed the rare XLs from slot 2. It's been an absolute mess lately.
Don't worry, they will send you a battle pass and call it a day
I've done this accidentally when using ground type moves and my finger is wet or a bit of moisture got into my phone case. It didn't occur to me that this would be something to abuse. When it happens I'm more frantically trying to get back into the game so I don't lose out on fast moves.
Niantic wont even care about all of this but niantic will ban those who plays fairly

This has been increasingly frequent while playing daily GBL. Had no idea this was the cause. Crazy so many people are using this glitch to gain an unfair advantage.

Sadly, niantic's just as corrupt And likely won't do shit about it. Their own rng for battle league is rigged asf. While the random selection of opponents works accordingly. The pool that opponents are randomly selected from, all have teams meant to make sure your lose is greater than 50% at any given time. So, as end result it's technically not who uses their team better.
Had no idea. Thought opponent just had a weak connection but come to find out they be cheating.
Is that bug where people can see teams and charge moves also still around or was that fixed? I swear sometimes opponents know my whole team and call charged moved beyond what is normal even at high ranks

What if we get rid of the switch timer and just limit the amoint of switches per battle.. then instead of limiting the amount of sheilds you can use, make the shield cost energy
I mean this as respectfully as I can, do NOT take GBL seriously.. The whole system is in shambles, and even the main game is hurting right now between pogo plus not working and adventure sync being busted for android users. I REALLY wanna love this game but man... They don't make it easy.
