I’d have said it the same way haha 🙈 I’m just not that into make up & the beauty world now I’m older; when I was younger my ex SIL was a working beautician / make up artist & hairdresser, she taught me at 12/13 how to cover those annoying large spots with a bit of stick concealer, it’s the only time I used it! Powder was kept for discos & prom / nights out, & I used to enjoy eye make up. I’m 33 now & have 2 chronic genetic disabilities & it’s the last thing on my mind to do. Nothing wrong with enjoying make up, but nothing wrong with not really being bothered outside of the basics; & it’s so nice to read your comment about it. I’ve been so shocked over recent years regarding the cattiness of other girls & women when it comes to not being interested in make up! X

There is a market for dumpster dived makeup, I don’t personally sell what I find at ulta but I am part of a Facebook group called Dumper diving diaries. tons of ppl on it sell things they find, that way you really know where all the makeup is coming from. Awesome vid as always !! 😊
my fiance and i went dumpster diving for the first time recently and found some amazing things! flowers and tulle for wedding decorations, phone cases, an iphone 11 tempered glass screen protector that was brand new, and a coat rack! keep doing you, we love watching!

Not sure if anyone said it yet but when they scrap stuff you can repack it. I am not sure how but it IS well worth watching as many TH-cam’s about repotting make up. And do save everything!! I love your channel! I wear makeup and personally would never buy makeup used like that. It goes on your face and I just don’t feel comfortable buying that unless it’s in a box and never used. I love how you show us everything after it’s cleaned up that you find♥️. That foundation wasn’t too bad. Makeup is also very expensive. That foundation could cost from 40-60.00 and if in pretty good condition you could sell on the makeup find groups. I think that’s the only one that looked half decent 😀
You can clean those palettes and compacts with rubbing alcohol which removes the gunk on it and sterilizes. There is a Facebook group that sells dumpster makeup. And they do sell partially used stuff. So you could look into that.

Hi Kelly, I love watching you, you're my favorite dumpster diver. I live in PA and dumpster dive all the time, every chance I get actually. So the Ulta soup bags, the palettes can be cleaned with alcohol I spray rubbing alcohol on the shadows because it dries nicely and absorbs and also it sanitizes everything. I break up the shadows and mix alcohol in with the shadow and reset it works great. The lids to the stuff you decided to keep were probably in that soup bag if you wanted the lids. I use lysol or Clorox wipes to clean the outside of the products I keep. You can use a q tip to get the foundation out of the bottle of hair conditioner. I never get tired of watching your videos, I need to find some apartment complexes like you do.❤ take care hun
Please don’t sell anything used in or on the body to anyone without disclosing where they came from. Alcohol doesn’t kill everything anymore. We learned that when we discovered HIV. And many people are chemical sensitive. Bleach, even when diluted, causes my skin to peel...almost immediately.
Kelly sharing make up don't s spread Aids I haven't got sick and there's a lot of of people dumpster diving at ULTA etc and sale or share makeup with family and friends.
@@jacquicherry1721 I used to be sensitive to bleach, but for years I put a few drops in my dish water and we rarely ever get sick or get flu bugs that are going around. The grandkids haven't missed school for illness more than maybe a half dozen times between all 3 in 3 years.
Hi Kelly, To fix the remaining makeup in the compacts and eye-shadows get a razor or something that can chop up the remains as fine as possible, then drip a little rubbing alcohol on them for a pancake batter consistency, flatten and set aside until it dries. Keep all tops and clean boxes to use in the future. Keep the fluid lipsticks and eye-shadows stick applicators, if you don't find the fluid now, you might later or just wash them in Dawn. If you find solid lipsticks in good condition but some soup on parts, use rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to clean. IDK about the soup being on the nice eye-shadows. I'd let it dry up then use something sharp to cut and flake it off. If that worked well, I'd fix remaining eye-shadows as explained in the beginning of this message. Hope that helps :) Like you, I generally don't wear makeup, except on special occasions...

The store where you found the coke mugs is Big Lots I believe ! I used to dumpster dive there daily they throw away display furniture lots of food goods that are about to expire and damages or returns ! One of my favorite places to dive, I would suggest to check it often I know you love donating food so that is the place to go !

I would like to thank you for not leaving a mess at the dumpsters when you dive. I've had some in my area rip open the bags and dump them on the ground. Not cool, apts love to blame us for making the mess when we dump the trash.
The Anastasia foundation hasn’t been put long enough to be expired, and setting spray is what you use at the very end of your makeup! It helps hold everything in place 😘

Yesteday where I work I went to trow some trash at a big dumpster and it was full I never look in but yesterday I did and found some candy it was seal and it expire next year and of course I got it there was more stuff but it was to hard to reach , but I felt so proud of myself just for getting candy 😂😂😂😂😂 excuse my English still learning 😊

If you get any mascara wands ever you need to send them to the Appalachian wildlife refuge or another one that collects them. they use them to get larva out of animals fur and feathers. I’ve also heard of them cleaning birds that have been hurt in oil spills with them also.
I have seen people get the soup bags from Ulta and when it's a fairly decent Palette it's worth saving. They can be sterilized and reformed from what I have heard, don't know how but sure there is a video out there on how. Brushed are cool!! You can find tossed out displays with brushed attached that are clean, unused etc. Just depends on if you want to put the time into cleaning the Palettes but I have seen people find major brands in decent shape. Totally LOVE Pilgrim on your lap through the cleaning process. I went out the last 2 days (totally raining here too) and had 2 major score days. Pays to play in the rain😜. Happy Hunting Sista🧡🐾
Diving while it's raining works well because people don't go outside as much when it rains. My friend and I dive in the rain all the time since rain and the cold don't bother us much.

Eyelash glues small size is great for travel & handbags! U could def get good $$$ for makeup brush wash it with shampoo then conditioner & let dry naturally! I sell makeup all the time! Expiry on makeup is underneath it’s a circle with a number in it! It means whatever number is in circle u have that long after opening to use
Living in the U.K. I didnt know what you called a soup bag was. Now I do and I seriously wouldnt bother with them. I think you will do better with the other dumpsters. Enjoy diving and keep the videos coming. I really like them xx
When it comes to compacts and pallets that are powders, all you have to do is crush it up finely then spray it with rubbing alcohol. After that you can compress it back down with a flat object, like a quarter covered by a paper towel or something similar. Then just leave it open to dry and the alcohol will evaporate leaving it fixed and sanitized.
Stuff deeper down in the dumpster gets more wet since many dumpsters don't have drainage holes a nasty pool of water, garbage, and rust (aka dumpster soup) forms in the bottom. Stuff in the middle is usually relatively dry.
You rinse the pallets off and get as much of the goop off cause the water will not harm it then you scrape all the pans of eyeshadow until it’s all broken up squirt a little rubbing alcohol into each eyeshadow and press them down until they look presentable then let dry 🥰 you can do that with and powder you find
Its a personal preference if u want to take time to go thru all ulta soup boxes! One time at the beginning diving I found new sealed items but it wasn't that badly souped! If its really bad souped I don't bother!!😊😊
You will love this ms Kelly. Stopped off at dollar general and looked in the dumpster. There was a ton of unused scented candles still on the boxes. I grabbed them. I went in side to buy a few items and asked the girl behind the counter about all the candles that were-thrown out and her response “ they are expired “” Do candles expire?
The wax doesn't but the fragrance can. I would think they could be taken and re-melted Into new candles. I would be sure the scents matched and color groups too. Otherwise you get ugly colors and stinkly smells. You would only need new candle wick. Maybe find some neat containers at garage sales etc.
I also would recommend not really asking about what you found in their dumpster unless you know the person. It may get them to put locks or no trespassing signs.
The palettes can be saved. First wipe crud off as much as possible then you wipe them with alcohol. The alcohol sanitizes and reforms the shape. It can take time but can be worth it.

Fun video 👍 ....soup bags are gross but sometimes there's hidden treasures in them. I have found $150 facial creams $50 conditioners full you just have to get past the yuck..😁😄 I live in Colorado and love diving in snowy weather less competition

Morphe has good brushes. You got those souped items cleaned up pretty good. I think the eyelash glue would sell good because they're small & can go in your purse. I love your videos !! 💖
My best friend could open her own store with all the soup make up she has gotten. She just cleans them up and soo much of it is brand new, unused, unopened& still in date. It's wild!

You should take the microfiber wipes that you see. They are great for cleaning. The reason they do that is because they don’t want anyone taking it and returning it to the store. Usually there is nothing wrong with it but it’s souped!!!👍🏻👏🏻
Can you tell how you determine what areas you will dive in? Do you have a route with good dumpsters and how did you pick those? Do you just stop behind "good" areas or stores and how do you decide? Thanks for what you do!
It's storming here in okla too!! I want dumpester diving the other day after a rain and found 2 cases of Hostess cups cakes and cherry cream cheesebuns. That's all I found before it started pouring.
Got 3 boxes of soup boxes at ULTA and got 3000 dollars worth of products. Including 3 dry bar straighter brushes, and blow out brush and a straightener... they can be a mess but worth it.
Jackie Bowen I think it’s worth it especially when u get 95 bottle of Gucci’ bamboo perfume &. Hair products like tons. Or I get straighteners , remember they sell more than makeup 👍💜
As a seasoned Cosmetologist/Barber and 5-year diver, you did everything right. I am also a free lance makeup artist. If it has a pump, its sanitary. if the pump wasnt on it, not sanitary. There is no way to save the eyeshadow if it is already drenched in sludge. Otherwise, just wipe the palette/compact down and spray with alcohol and let dry. Perfectly sanitary. Lipstick, mascara, anything without a pump or a seal is a NO GO. Brushes can be easily sanitized and disinfected. Good find on the morphe brush!
I can't understand how Companies let staff spend so much time to destroy items and yet their recycle bins have boxes that they don't break down 😜 Just watching how long it took for you to look through that mess means Staff would take longer to open and destroy each item 😶 🦘🐨🦘🐨🦘

Hey the next time you get one of them soup bags have a warm bucket of water next to you and and old towel so you can clean them off as you go through them that's what we do and we have found like some really expensive perfumes and some awesome body mists
We all get a little frisky when our temp outside change so quickly. Halloween was almost scary the way the wind was whipping around and the sky was yellow. So eerie!
I think a lot of people that find makeup that is scraped or damaged usually keep it for themselves. Sometimes you can repress the powders, blushes, highlights, and shadows and sell them that way. Just make sure you disclose that you repressed. And for expiration dates, many items have a number at the bottom of the packaging that indicate when it expires. And the expiration starts once the product is opened. I know a lot of eyeshadows expire 12 months after opening and foundations are usually 3-6 months. This goes the same with skincare products.
I think you get better stuff at the apartment complexes, and I see other divers that do well at Aldi antics ,save a lot don't know if you have these stores. I really enjoy your videos and that you give back and share.

I watch another TH-cam channel called Steve and Steph (they are dumpster divers too) when she finds make up at Ulta she cleans it and sells it on Facebook, all this to say according to Steph there are specific groups on Facebook where you can sell makeup you find in the dumpster and the buyers know you got it from the dumpster.
Hi. It fun watching ur video. A tip of info on the Anastasia Foundation if u are going to sell it..don't go under $25.00. They are very expensive. Before u sell it, look up what the cost is and probably go at least 60% to 70& less from what the orginal cost is. The brush is also very expensive also. Do the same as the foundation. the Morphe(pronounced MORE FEE)brush sells for about $19. the PUR (pronounced pure) primer is green and used to cover red on the skin. The Anastasia foundation sell's for $38. Any compacts or palettes that are not dirty, you can spray them down with alcohol to sanitize them before selling them.

Aww pilgrim loves you so much 😭 Lost my beloved October (my Pit) late Sunday night. I will never be the same, she was everything. But she came home (in her ashes ) yesterday, eases the absence a bit. I would like to thank you for not leaving a mess at the dumpsters when you dive. I've had some in my area rip open the bags and dump them on the ground. Not cool, apts love to blame us for making the mess when we dump the trash.
Yup. You can clean the palates and use isopropyl alcohol a few drops it will look brand new on the ones that look broken.
The Anastasia foundation hasn’t been put long enough to be expired, and setting spray is what you use at the very end of your makeup! It helps hold everything in place 😘

Yesteday where I work I went to trow some trash at a big dumpster and it was full I never look in but yesterday I did and found some candy it was seal and it expire next year and of course I got it there was more stuff but it was to hard to reach , but I felt so proud of myself just for getting candy 😂😂😂😂😂 excuse my English still learning 😊

God know why people are saying pick the soup bags up, I think it's more hassle than it's worth, apart from the mess it's not that there even usable , stick to what you enjoy doing
These things can be sold and there is a lot of money to be made from them. They can be sanitized. Most of them anyway.

My wife n I have about 20,000 in souped makeup that we worked hrs on cleaning and disinfecting so it's deff worth it

If you get any mascara wands ever you need to send them to the Appalachian wildlife refuge or another one that collects them. they use them to get larva out of animals fur and feathers. I’ve also heard of them cleaning birds that have been hurt in oil spills with them also.
If you find any MAC containers, if you keep them, you can trade them in for a full size lipstick! Check google for more info on it! 😊

I have seen people get the soup bags from Ulta and when it's a fairly decent Palette it's worth saving. They can be sterilized and reformed from what I have heard, don't know how but sure there is a video out there on how. Brushed are cool!! You can find tossed out displays with brushed attached that are clean, unused etc. Just depends on if you want to put the time into cleaning the Palettes but I have seen people find major brands in decent shape. Totally LOVE Pilgrim on your lap through the cleaning process. I went out the last 2 days (totally raining here too) and had 2 major score days. Pays to play in the rain😜. Happy Hunting Sista🧡🐾

Diving while it's raining works well because people don't go outside as much when it rains. My friend and I dive in the rain all the time since rain and the cold don't bother us much.

Eyelash glues small size is great for travel & handbags! U could def get good $$$ for makeup brush wash it with shampoo then conditioner & let dry naturally! I sell makeup all the time! Expiry on makeup is underneath it’s a circle with a number in it! It means whatever number is in circle u have that long after opening to use
Living in the U.K. I didnt know what you called a soup bag was. Now I do and I seriously wouldnt bother with them. I think you will do better with the other dumpsters. Enjoy diving and keep the videos coming. I really like them xx
When it comes to compacts and pallets that are powders, all you have to do is crush it up finely then spray it with rubbing alcohol. After that you can compress it back down with a flat object, like a quarter covered by a paper towel or something similar. Then just leave it open to dry and the alcohol will evaporate leaving it fixed and sanitized.
Stuff deeper down in the dumpster gets more wet since many dumpsters don't have drainage holes a nasty pool of water, garbage, and rust (aka dumpster soup) forms in the bottom. Stuff in the middle is usually relatively dry.
You rinse the pallets off and get as much of the goop off cause the water will not harm it then you scrape all the pans of eyeshadow until it’s all broken up squirt a little rubbing alcohol into each eyeshadow and press them down until they look presentable then let dry 🥰 you can do that with and powder you find
Its a personal preference if u want to take time to go thru all ulta soup boxes! One time at the beginning diving I found new sealed items but it wasn't that badly souped! If its really bad souped I don't bother!!😊😊
You will love this ms Kelly. Stopped off at dollar general and looked in the dumpster. There was a ton of unused scented candles still on the boxes. I grabbed them. I went in side to buy a few items and asked the girl behind the counter about all the candles that were-thrown out and her response “ they are expired “” Do candles expire?

The wax doesn't but the fragrance can. I would think they could be taken and re-melted Into new candles. I would be sure the scents matched and color groups too. Otherwise you get ugly colors and stinkly smells. You would only need new candle wick. Maybe find some neat containers at garage sales etc.
I also would recommend not really asking about what you found in their dumpster unless you know the person. It may get them to put locks or no trespassing signs.
The palettes can be saved. First wipe crud off as much as possible then you wipe them with alcohol. The alcohol sanitizes and reforms the shape. It can take time but can be worth it.

Fun video 👍 ....soup bags are gross but sometimes there's hidden treasures in them. I have found $150 facial creams $50 conditioners full you just have to get past the yuck..😁😄 I live in Colorado and love diving in snowy weather less competition

oooooo....a DIF bag with souped makeup. It’s so satisfying rescuing and rehabbing what you can. I haven’t dived in a few years, I miss DIF bags and boxes.

Morphe has good brushes. You got those souped items cleaned up pretty good. I think the eyelash glue would sell good because they're small & can go in your purse.

My best friend could open her own store with all the soup make up she has gotten. She just cleans them up and soo much of it is brand new, unused, unopened& still in date. It's wild!

You should take the microfiber wipes that you see. They are great for cleaning. The reason they do that is because they don’t want anyone taking it and returning it to the store. Usually there is nothing wrong with it but it’s souped!!!👍🏻👏🏻
Can you tell how you determine what areas you will dive in? Do you have a route with good dumpsters and how did you pick those? Do you just stop behind "good" areas or stores and how do you decide?

It's storming here in okla too!! I want dumpester diving the other day after a rain and found 2 cases of Hostess cups cakes and cherry cream cheesebuns. That's all I found before it started pouring.
Got 3 boxes of soup boxes at ULTA and got 3000 dollars worth of products. Including 3 dry bar straighter brushes, and blow out brush and a straightener... they can be a mess but worth it.
Soup bag doesn’t look like it’s worth all the trouble of digging into it and cleaning it up. I agree with another comment, I wouldn’t buy used makeup.
There's a huge market for it. Higher end tester make up can easily turn $20 for one 1/2 full foundation lol

As a seasoned Cosmetologist/Barber and 5-year diver, you did everything right. I am also a free lance makeup artist. If it has a pump, its sanitary. if the pump wasnt on it, not sanitary. There is no way to save the eyeshadow if it is already drenched in sludge. Otherwise, just wipe the palette/compact down and spray with alcohol and let dry. Perfectly sanitary. Lipstick, mascara, anything without a pump or a seal is a NO GO. Brushes can be easily sanitized and disinfected. Good find on the morphe brush!

Hey the next time you get one of them soup bags have a warm bucket of water next to you and and old towel so you can clean them off as you go through them that's what we do and we have found like some really expensive perfumes and some awesome body mists

We all get a little frisky when our temp outside change so quickly. Halloween was almost scary the way the wind was whipping around and the sky was yellow. So eerie!
I think a lot of people that find makeup that is scraped or damaged usually keep it for themselves. Sometimes you can repress the powders, blushes, highlights, and shadows and sell them that way. Just make sure you disclose that you repressed. And for expiration dates, many items have a number at the bottom of the packaging that indicate when it expires. And the expiration starts once the product is opened. I know a lot of eyeshadows expire 12 months after opening and foundations are usually 3-6 months. This goes the same with skincare products.
I think you get better stuff at the apartment complexes, and I see other divers that do well at Aldi antics ,save a lot don't know if you have these stores. I really enjoy your videos and that you give back and share.

Love how you says it’s cold and that it’s 40 degrees. We are lucky it even gets up to 30 for our summer in the uk. It’s currently 8 degrees here haha. Also don’t feel pressured in picking up the soup bags ☺️

I watch another TH-cam channel called Steve and Steph (they are dumpster divers too) when she finds make up at Ulta she cleans it and sells it on Facebook, all this to say according to Steph there are specific groups on Facebook where you can sell makeup you find in the dumpster and the buyers know you got it from the dumpster.
Hi. It fun watching ur video. A tip of info on the Anastasia Foundation if u are going to sell it..don't go under $25.00. They are very expensive. Before u sell it, look up what the cost is and probably go at least 60% to 70& less from what the orginal cost is. The brush is also very expensive also. Do the same as the foundation. Don't want you to cheat your that's all.

the Morphe(pronounced MORE FEE)brush sells for about $19. the PUR (pronounced pure) primer is green and used to cover red on the skin. The Anastasia foundation sell's for $38. Any compacts or palettes that are not dirty, you can spray them down with alcohol to sanitize them before selling them.
