I am hoping to convince the wife to make a similar journey in our van. I think travelling south for the winter is the best idea - the birds have been doing it for ever. :)
Glad to see your at the other side 'hot and fresh' Now to chillax for the evening and think how lucky your are to miss the thunder and hail that we have just witnessed in West Yorkshire.. Enjoy your lasagne and will look forward to your next upload.... xxxx
Good evening and Thankyou for your lovely comments xx , we enjoyed the lasagne and enjoyed missing the thunder and hail a bit more 😁 .. hope everyone is safe back in the uk, that storm was not fun … thanks for watching and your continued support , Corrin and Paul xx
Aww thankyou ! It’s been a bit of a trip so far ! But easing up a little now, finally relaxing and catching up , really appreciate your comments and support , thankyou for watching 🥰
Bad weather at the start made for slow going but you got a ferry over in the end , you'll be past it now but if your not or if you have time on the return leg, Chartres is definitely worth a visit as they light up the cathedral at night with a moving light show, I'll never do it justice so maybe best you look it up on utube and make your own mind up , another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍, happy New year to you both.
Thanks for watching! We walked into Chartres this morning and it’s gorgeous. We went into the cathedral, decided it’s a definite ‘come back’ to city and we can see the illuminations. Thanks so much for your advice
Nice blue tounge corrin 😂 makes a change from tooth paste .. That weather looks horrible 🥶🥶 Nice to see the pet lounge as we’re on pioneer next Thursday ❤
😂 it’s that cold Corrins tongue went blue, nothing to do with the jolly rancher , Redders was into the red ones 😛 , at least it’s dry , a quick wander into town, then hitting the road … pet lounge is great , power points, usb chargers, tea, coffee and cola on tap ! Look forward to meeting up 🥰 safe travels xx
Hi you two, God watching your video brings back so many memories of the rotten weather traffic problems etc etc. any way have a great trip😂😂 🇦🇺🇬🇧👍👍 Jon

Looking forward to seeing your travels as we will hopefully be emulating the same in February next year as we ‘retire’ and obviously have a limited budget was well. We all need to get as much bang for our buck’s these days 😂. Jeff & Diane
Congratulations on your very close to retirement! This is the perfect way to spend it! Thank you so much for watching and sending us the lovely comment ❤️
Safe travels you two, we’ve just come back from Barcelona (not with our Airstream though sadly) where it was bright blue skies and warm in the sun. Enjoy the sun.
cheers for the vid, i have just travelled down to Andalucia near malaga, Left calais on 27th arrived on 29th took tolls, will take a 12 day drive back though. stay safe HNY
Good morning ! Glad you enjoyed the vlog, wow that was a big initial drive ! , hope the weather is good with you ☀️ , safe travels and Thankyou very much for commenting, HNY 🎉 ❤️
Hi great video ,we live in Murcia and when we do the trip to UK in the summer(to escape the heat) we travel from Bordeaux to Pau then thru the Somport tunnel then a great free stop in Estacion can Franc then on to a free stop in the beautiful town of Sabinanigo then another free in Huesca,5 mins walk from the centre ,then to the most beautiful town in Spain ,Albaracin and a campsite with all the services,a great run, little traffic, next stop Valencia.hope you try it 😊
Good morning ! Thank-you so much for this information, we’ve taken a screen shot of all your recommendations which we really appreciate xx safe travels and Thankyou for watching and sharing ❤️❤️
Enjoy your trip guys when we go abroad with our campervan the worst part of it is the trip to the Tunnel and back again and we live in Surrey! Getting ferry from Portsmouth next year 24 longer crossing but doing West Coast France 🇫🇷, so no m20 m25 traffic. Enjoy new year .
😂😂 I was wishing we lived in Surrey so we could be closer, but it sounds like even that’s not close enough! Now we are ‘on the other side’ we are loving the trip again! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave us a comment ❤️
How long does it take if I may ask, and do they have a pet lounge on board ? Our 2 little princesses get a little separation anxiety and the 90 minute crossing and pet lounge is a little easier going for us all ❤️
Hi lovelies glad you got over to France safely and making your way to the warmer weather, great editing considering the conditions you have travelled in!! Hope you weren’t poorly on the boat !! 🤮 it’s still blowing a hooley here so your in the right place 🥰 speak soon, safe travels 😘 xxx
Aww thanks guys xxx 😘, it was a bit of a journey ! But calming down now, hopefully in Spain for the weekend 🥰 lovely to hear from you , speak soon ❤️❤️
Hi Corrin and Paul lovely to be along on your journey. We are already in Spain and enjoying the warmer weather. We came straight down on the 18th and arrived in Spain on the 22nd to Camping La Naranja in Gandia where we have had an enjoyable Christmas and we are heading back there for New Year’s eve. Would love to catch-up somewhere in Spain and learn more tips from you two. Safe rest of your journey.
Hi ! Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰 yes , Spain sounds very inviting, we have a few hundred mikes to go yet, but do keep a check on us and hopefully we can meet up when in the same area, that would be fab to say hello ! ❤️🥰 , looking forward to getting there 🇪🇸 , thanks again xx Corrin and Paul ❤️
We're currently in Ameria on our 9th week in Spain. The weather has been gorgeous. About 20 - 24° and full sunshine!!! You'll love it! We filled up with diesel today and paid €1.27! The cheapest so far. We love watching you, and are looking forward to seeing where you visit.
Good evening ! Sounds like you’ve had a great time enjoying the sun ! ❤️🎄 and the fuel prices sound great, we will be looking to get to Spain by the end of the weekend, so if we get near give us a shout and say hi, it’ll be lovely to say hello 🥰 thankyou once again xx
Hey guys just started watching your vlogs. Lots of good tips . Just wondering if you managed to get travel insurance for longer than 62 days and if so via which provider please.
Good evening and thanks very much for subscribing and watching , much appreciated.. we certainly did, we used staysure , and we had to make a phone call to them to do this, couldn’t do it online ❤️👍🙂
Hi Guys Appreciate your work on your vids I'm picking up my first MH in two weeks I'm planning on benidorm in June Portsmouth to Caen with two stops can you advise on A ) route B ) stops I've calculated Stops at Gradignan and Zaragoza before arriving at benidorm On day 3 Any input would be appreciated We do only have 16 days. Keep up the wonderful work !
With 16 days I’d say our only advice would be to use the tolls. Your time is more precious than saving money on cheaper routes. Make sure you order your crit air sticker when you get your van (to avoid fines in all those LEZ in France) Have fun planning your trip! Sounds like you’ve thought about it a lot already 👍
Are you stopping in Donastia San Sebastian. We loved it there staying in the aire in donastia. We did a tapas crawl with starters, mains and deserts in different bars. Yum!
Good morning, the front ones are agouti seat covers ( or trucker seats ) , the rear are shein covers, the front ones are lovely, and have optional arm rests .., very comfy and easy to fit 🙂 thanks for watching and commenting xx
Good evening 🥰 thanks for watching, subscribing and commenting, very much appreciated, and spot on with Spain ! Please share any tips and experiences 🙂 xx
@@redsgotravels advice, stay away from big cities like Barcelona stay in the small towns, Zaragoza is a highlight, big but not too big and the most beautiful cathedral i think i have ever seen, amazing indoor market and free park up, go where the locals go, learn some Spanish they genuinely love it when you give it a go, take your time and enjoy, its such a beautiful country.
Hi Both - we travel down to Spain next week - similar plan - what was your route that ought to France ? And do you have to carry snow chains/socks to cross into Spain ??
Hi and good evening ! The route we took was Rouen, Orleans then into Bordeaux , Frances winter period is up to the end of March and the requirement is to have all season tyres and use of snow chains in certain parts ( we carry chains too ) some regions will require chains when directed , in Spain , chains aren’t compulsory to carry , but compulsory to use when directed ,it is a little confusing , but here’s a link I found useful 🙂 www.snowplaza.co.uk/blog/winter-tyres-in-france-where-and-when-are-they-compulsory/
We use search for sites as our main go to , along with our lovely subscriber recommendations, it’s easy to find park ups in France, but Spain is proving a little more difficult , in France the Camping car parks app and card is essential in our opinion, really makes finding and booking easy ❤️
Good evening David ! Thanks for watching and commenting, we hope you are not affected by the flooding , fortunately the effect of the hurricane is easing up here now 🙂 , about 500 miles to go to get to Spain 🇪🇸☀️
Good morning , it’s an option we’ve considered, but we do enjoy using the pet lounge on P and O , Dolly and Pippa do get stressed when left, so we feel the 90 min crossing by our side suits us all, but if the chaos continues , we may have to re assess , but this horror trip was a lot to do with the M4 out of Wales and the weather , thanks so much for watching and commenting, really appreciated 🥰
Awful weather to start you off! Hope you enjoy Chartres. We were lucky enough to see the lumières in June! Slaw is intrigued. How can you do another 90 days when you’ve just got back from Europe? Does one of you have an EU passport like him? Looking forward to your trip 🚍☀️
Hi Guys ! Hope you had a fab Christmas 🎄🥰 , I bet the lumières were amazing ❤️ our last trip was only 3 weeks, so we are just using the remainder , would be nice to have an EU passport, but sadly not 😣 … lovely to hear from you , are you off to Europe soon ? Happy New year to you both ! And all the best in 2024 xx Corrin and Paul
Hi You was lucky we gave up on Thursday night at 10 pm and parked in the street it was gridlocked I ended scraping back corner of our new motorhome so that didn’t go down well , woke at 4am still gridlocked and took 6 hrs to get to ferry terminal 1.2 mile away The worst trip ever in my life , we are now in Magescq heading round coast into Portugal Good luck
Wow ! That is horrendous , so sorry to hear , scraping the motorhome is so upsetting, hope it’s an easy fix, and 6 hours , oh dear .., hope you are now able to relax 🙂 safe travels xx
Good afternoon ! Yes we had the crit air ( for France ) prior to leaving the uk , for Spain, it’s only needed in select areas where we aren’t going 🥰 happy new year ! 🥰
Thank you for your quick reply, we're off to Spain at the end of the month driving through France and came across the need for this sticker, seems we need another for Spain. Hope you have a fantastic trip. Regards Garry
5 hours to Reading. 😱 Some grim conditions there for sure but it is what it is; it’s how you deal with it that counts. Rubber neckers! 😡 Ever considered Les Routiers for night stop and a nice bit of nose bag? Bon route Redders! 👍
Good evening ! It was an horrendous trip, weather, roads , delays … but that’s to be expected as it’s the uk ! , but we had plenty of stops , breaks and doggy stretches ! Will look into the food and stop place, always nice to enjoy new adventures ! Thanks for watching and commenting , very much appreciated ❤️❤️🎄
Hi guys Been watching your channel for some time now. Hope your trip is going well. We are actually doing the same as you guys right now too, sounds like you’re taking a slightly different route, we’re heading straight down south France and then cutting across into Spain and heading for Alicante area, not sure exactly where you are today but we’ve just made it to La Rochelle, trying to stay ahead of this awful weather 😂 Would be great to meet you guys if we cross somewhere 😊
Good evening ! We have just landed in Tours , heading down toward Bordeaux tomorrow, so not too far from us, looks like we are heading towards better weather too ☀️ we will update very regularly , so if we are near give us a shout out 🙂 , it’s down to Pamplona after , hope you are having a great time too , wishing you safe travels, and may well bump into each other soon ❤️🥰
@@redsgotravels hope you have a safe journey, we leave in the morning and heading for Bram and it looks like we will be hitting the better weather too. 😊 we will keep an eye on your videos and see if you end up close by 👍
We are 2 weeks in and ahead of you overlooking Denia marina. We went down the centre of France mixing tolls and the N20 toll free we spent 76 quid in tolls to get to Spain via Carcassonne as we didn’t fancy the trip via Zaragoza. Weather is not great probably the same temp as Uk but clear skies and no rain we are chasing the sun south so may see you on the road. Safe travels. Can recommend Denia free park ups for the old town but arrive early as they are busy, free for 48 hour stay.
Good morning ! Some great tips there , thankyou ! We will certainly find the marina aire , we are going via Zaragoza heading to Pamplona, nice to hear it’s dry , the sun isn’t too far away ! Safe travels, really appreciate your comments, may well see you there ! ☀️☀️❤️
@@redsgotravels there are 2 aires on search for sites for Denia for 48hours which we used if you go past them there is a rough car park that overlooks the sea or the marina it gets busy during the day but vans stay overnight if you can get in best to arrive for the best views either early or late when the cars have gone. Can recommend the Sala Thai on the main drag facing the marina and the Magazino Arcade. Enjoy 😎👍 we are moving down the coast today in search of the sun.
We just love the dog lounge and a 90 minute crossing, Portsmouth is quite a bit longer and no dog lounge … but if we keep experiencing the Dover nightmare , it’s certainly a consideration ❤️👍 Thankyou for watching and commenting 🙂
Good morning ! The fluffy white ones are agouti covers, that’s the brand of the seat ( shoulder strap style ) or trucker seats ( bought online ) can’t recall the website sorry 🙂 but the main seats are shein covers 🥰 hope that helps ! Thanks for watching 🙂❤️
We always used to use the tunnel, but in recent times have found the ferries cheaper and of course doggy lounges! So despite rough seas we still prefer the ferry
@@redsgotravels the tunnel is more expensive. We like it for the convenience really, turn up early or late and you’re on the next train. Safe travels and you’ll soon be in the sun ☀️ ☀️
😂 arms like Mr Tickle ! Yes, Redders does drive very relaxed, but very safe ( ex hgv and blue light driver ) , thanks for watching and commenting, very much appreciated ❤️❤️🎄
Thanks for watching Pamela. It costs more, the dogs prefer the dog lounges and it takes a lot to make us sea sick, and the sea wasn’t rough enough this time. We used to do tunnel all the time, but it’s too much money in our eyes now
Hi hot and fresh, I can cope with you 3 times a week. I looked for your video this morning. Really looking forward to see where you go and what you get up to. Safe travels
Very best for a top holiday . Brilliant to leave this useless little country where nothing works . The simplest of journeys takes hours on end due to rubbish roads , never ending roadworks, strikes and zero investment . I would move to Spain !
Good morning and Thank-you for watching and commenting 🥰 , it was a dreadful journey , and one we hope we never have to repeat again, the weather didn’t help, but it’s all part of the trip, but now we are in France the roads are so much better and aires readily available, so much easier over here 🙂☀️ , thanks again , much appreciated ❤️
@@redsgotravels I didn't. Had to leave after, like, 10 minutes coz of boredom, lack of good pictures, travel stories ... and a profound confusion about where you guys even are at any point in time.
sorry but it does seem that your man redders seems to do all the water grey water main jobs and so he should but he also does all the driving and then top it all he does the washing up well it seems to work for you and thats fine because if redders had to make dinner or tea i guess it would be cheese based what iam saying it would be good to see you making your food because you do it on a budget would make it interesting viewing sorry if it seems iam having a dig im not just think it would be interesting to see what you cook on a budget

Happy New year to you both ! And all the best in 2024 xx Corrin and Paul
Hi guys! Do you have a What3words for the car park you stayed over in on arrival in France?
Good morning it is …. Arrived.earth.browser Safe travels ! Great little park up x
Any chance you could add a little more detail about your route please?
Good afternoon ! Happy New Year ! Yes we will include it in the upcoming videos 🥰 thanks for watching and commenting x
Hi
You was lucky we gave up on Thursday night at 10 pm and parked in the street it was gridlocked I ended scraping back corner of our new motorhome so that didn’t go down well , woke at 4am still gridlocked and took 6 hrs to get to ferry terminal 1.2 mile away
The worst trip ever in my life , we are now in Magescq heading round coast into Portugal
Good luck
Wow ! That is horrendous , so sorry to hear , scraping the motorhome is so upsetting, hope it’s an easy fix, and 6 hours , oh dear .., hope you are now able to relax 🙂 safe travels xx
Hi did you buy an emissions sticker for driving through France and Spain before your trip?
Good afternoon ! Yes we had the crit air ( for France ) prior to leaving the uk , for Spain, it’s only needed in select areas where we aren’t going 🥰 happy new year ! 🥰
Thank you for your quick reply, we're off to Spain at the end of the month driving through France and came across the need for this sticker, seems we need another for Spain. Hope you have a fantastic trip. Regards Garry
Safe travels ! Happy to help 🥰
What make of maps do you use to plan your holidays and/or use en-route? Have a fab time
Good morning we use via Michelin website ! Thanks for watching and commenting, very much appreciated ❤️❤️🎄
Hi guys
Been watching your channel for some time now. Hope your trip is going well.
We are actually doing the same as you guys right now too, sounds like you’re taking a slightly different route, we’re heading straight down south France and then cutting across into Spain and heading for Alicante area, not sure exactly where you are today but we’ve just made it to La Rochelle, trying to stay ahead of this awful weather 😂
Would be great to meet you guys if we cross somewhere 😊
Good evening ! We have just landed in Tours , heading down toward Bordeaux tomorrow, so not too far from us, looks like we are heading towards better weather too ☀️ we will update very regularly , so if we are near give us a shout out 🙂 , it’s down to Pamplona after , hope you are having a great time too , wishing you safe travels, and may well bump into each other soon ❤️🥰
@@redsgotravels hope you have a safe journey, we leave in the morning and heading for Bram and it looks like we will be hitting the better weather too. 😊 we will keep an eye on your videos and see if you end up close by 👍
🥰 fab 👍
Got in the traffic on M4 from new bridge crossing in that nad sweeping rain ?
Really horrendous conditions weren’t they ! 8 hours to get to Dover from Bridgend 😣 thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
Amazing, Thankyou for the recommendations 🥰 much appreciated x
We abandoned the Dover crossing several years ago,the Portsmouth Santander crossing better for u
We just love the dog lounge and a 90 minute crossing, Portsmouth is quite a bit longer and no dog lounge … but if we keep experiencing the Dover nightmare , it’s certainly a consideration ❤️👍 Thankyou for watching and commenting 🙂
Enjoy where did ye get your seat covers
Good morning ! The fluffy white ones are agouti covers, that’s the brand of the seat ( shoulder strap style ) or trucker seats ( bought online ) can’t recall the website sorry 🙂 but the main seats are shein covers 🥰 hope that helps ! Thanks for watching 🙂❤️
@@redsgotravels thank you when you come to Ireland we will meet up im having two weeks in the North of England in April P G enjoy your journey
🥰 safe travels and happy New Year ! May well meet you on the road in 2024 🙂🐩🐩
Yep yep hooray we are off to sunny Spain 👍
🇪🇸🇪🇸☀️☀️🎉 good evening ! Not long now 😁
Don’t you use the tunnel?
We always used to use the tunnel, but in recent times have found the ferries cheaper and of course doggy lounges! So despite rough seas we still prefer the ferry
@@redsgotravels the tunnel is more expensive.
We like it for the convenience really, turn up early or late and you’re on the next train.
Safe travels and you’ll soon be in the sun ☀️ ☀️
Thankyou ! 🥰
Not a good start but enjoy… looks like he will fall asleep if he reclines his chair any further when driving 😂. Must have long arms 😁🙏
😂 arms like Mr Tickle ! Yes, Redders does drive very relaxed, but very safe ( ex hgv and blue light driver ) , thanks for watching and commenting, very much appreciated ❤️❤️🎄
Why didnt you go on the tunnel as you have dogs. Then you dont have problems with waves!!!
Thanks for watching Pamela.
It costs more, the dogs prefer the dog lounges and it takes a lot to make us sea sick, and the sea wasn’t rough enough this time. We used to do tunnel all the time, but it’s too much money in our eyes now
I've just one question ..... who is Bob the nob 😂
😂😂🫣some things should really hit the editing floor , ooops 🫣🫣😂😂😂😂😂
😂 😂
🤭🤭ooopsie
Hi hot and fresh, I can cope with you 3 times a week. I looked for your video this morning. Really looking forward to see where you go and what you get up to. Safe travels
Aww thanks, hot and fresh is the way isn’t it ! 🤣 not old and mouldy 🤭 , really appreciate your support , thankyou xx 🥰
This isn't vanlife content but just talking heads. :(
Thanks for watching
@@redsgotravels I didn't. Had to leave after, like, 10 minutes coz of boredom, lack of good pictures, travel stories ... and a profound confusion about where you guys even are at any point in time.
@@orcaflotta7867 😉 glad you enjoyed 😂😂😂😂
sorry but it does seem that your man redders seems to do all the water grey water main jobs and so he should but he also does all the driving and then top it all he does the washing up well it seems to work for you and thats fine because if redders had to make dinner or tea i guess it would be cheese based what iam saying it would be good to see you making your food because you do it on a budget would make it interesting viewing sorry if it seems iam having a dig im not just think it would be interesting to see what you cook on a budget
Keep watching, we often use the air fryer to make our food, we share all of our jobs and are happy how we do it , the camera doesn’t show everything .
