Have to say TH-cam suggested a few video's 1 was a clean cut man and hid family stooped in Wyoming ( I think ) recognized the voice before I looked at the maker. Second 1 was of hard working cowboy that had a messed up hand. That kid could end up running the world some day.

Watching all of the folks trying to get on their horses reminded me of one of our bear hunts. We started at Weed N.M. and had eleven horses and one mule and thirteen dogs. When I say dogs, I mean every dog in Weed N.M. Three packs of hounds all mixed together, heelers, and a toy poodle. That little stink made the entire round. We rode through the forest and chased something, probably a deer or two. Never saw a bear, but, it was still an exciting time. Just think of all the memories your making!! Ya'll have the best kids!!
I love Riley he always try to take on the goal first. You were out there to get cow and by God was he gonna find cows. Then realized he had no help and had enough sense to get the dogs home safe. Good kid!

What I love is that, even really busy, Dad always finds that few moments to explain and praise. This family seems like a modern Walton family. I am in the UK, love the way these children are encouraged all the time. Love the way they care for each other without bickering, they are learning responsibility from an early age. Pity that Health and Safety have ended much of this in the UK.

Momma is amazing, kid sleeping on her lap, shifts while talking to Dad, I thought I was cool to shift holding a mountain dew between the legs. At 29:36 you need a little sunshine son, that is some white, looks like grandpa's farmer tan. Nice to see you all out together. Ridgee watered the 4 wheeler so it would grow. My son and his friend filled my ex wifes gas tank with sand from the sand box she put right by her van. I felt bad, because I ended up paying for it in the end. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.
Please explain to all those red headed youngins what skin cancer is. I’m 71 have been getting cut on, scraped on, frozen for last 35 years. My face is looking like a road map. Close to losing an ear. Can tell you how many times the Dr found something. Now every time I go ( every 4 months) either I or Dr find a new one. Grew up without a shirt on. When I was 19-20 thought it was cool, went 30 days never put one on. Looking back should have had sun screen on every time went out. I’m not light skinned have dark brown hair. Lost good friend to skin cancer. His started with a mole on hie back, 2 years later he was gone. Moms take care of them kids.

It looked like a long hot day, but in the end all are accounted for and you got some cattle in. PS. my eyes still haven't adjusted back after being blinded by a pastey white teenager.
I was going to say the same thing, a few Motorola FRS or GMRS radios would be a good thing. HAM Radio license and some Baofang Radios would be even better as they have a longer range, and the HAM Radio Technician test is pretty easy.

I definitely like the idea of only sending the kids off in pairs, at least if one of them gets hurt, the other could hopefully ride back and get some help. Glad that Riley was back at the truck but what if he wasn't, that's a lot of space to cover, even a drone out there wouldn't help when they're not even sure where the kid is. Some handheld radios would be 100% useful in these cases, some FRS or GMRS radios or go further and get a HAM license and some cheap Baofang radios which have a much farther range and far more capabilities.
Why not just get two way radios? I love your videos. I really appreciate your family. Most kids today don't realize how easy they have it. I myself would've loved doing what you guys do when I was a kid. I actually had fun doing manual labor.

After watching very many of your videos, I have come to the conclusion that you need more children, specifically daughters, like a half a dozen or so. You are WAY too calm and composed for a man with nine children. There's an imbalance in the universe that must be addressed. By all normal standards you should be at your wit's end, yet you seem to be at peace with the world. More women will solve that problem. Just saying. In all seriousness though, you and your family are a blessing to us all. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I was a couple yrs old. Dad bought a push mower. Parked the truck under a shade. Got his tractor went to the field. I put water in the gas. Dad was mad at me. Ram my brother is 61 he is special needs. End of last summer, his can with mower gas was empty. I come home just in time to see him dump green liquid out of the gas tank. I keep some green diesel for my truck.
The best camera man is, ummm oh darn forgot his name, but its the next boy younger then Rylie and older then the blonde boy. he needs to be #1 camera man cause he tells us the story of whats going on through the eyes of a young cowboy. Good to finally see a CowGirl riding with the boys finally doing some work to pay for that basketball hoop construction. Future video basketball on da Ranch. Lucky she got a real hoop we had to make our own from a old bucket, first one was plactic and lasted a week [almost as long as it took 2, 8year olds to set it up behind the old barn] great grandfathers missing metal bucket is still hanging behind the old barn and hooped many many balls for a bunch of years.
think its totally awesome the way you raise your kids letting them basically take lead gathering and your wife actually walking all the way from the truck to the coral just to give both of the babies experience on horse you sir and your wife are surely raising your awesome family right way very seldom see that kinda thing in these days and times specially a mother who wants her babies to enjoy themselves she would walk that whole trail to the cows just to put a smile on those babies faces and give the youngest one their first experience of riding a horse sir i know you teach your kids important life lessons on the Ranch when you gather horses but if i may commend your wife on what she did for your babies that ma'am was mother of the year worthy

You should try and push those energetic cattle to water and get their bellies full of water and they will settle down. I am starting to remember riding down the Hopi and Navajo fence line pushing the cattle towards our water trough. We'd let the horses rest up and while the cattle filled up with water. They would then walk to the corral. Carrying all that water takes the run out of them.
some sort of communications needed cell,wakie talkies ,two-way radios etc..etc..lot of open range out there..i dont know is signal not possible ,but you can get a type of walkie-talkie i know me and my family used them at disney in florida and they worked perfect,16 kids 9 adults,many seperations but we would get location no more lost kid...
FRS or GMRS radios 100% useful, no cell service needed or required....cell service out there is most likely spotty at best, and unreliable anyways. Better yet a HAM license and some cheap Baofang radios with much better capability and range than "walkie-talkies".

@@wildbill23c Baofung on gmrs with a 5w repeater. Legal and would cover that area fairly well, if the green shirts are okay with it.

Some handheld radios would be 100% useful in these cases, some FRS or GMRS radios or go further and get a HAM license and some cheap Baofang radios which have a much farther range and far more capabilities.

Why not just get two way radios? I love your videos. I really appreciate your family. Most kids today don't realize how easy they have it. I myself would've loved doing what you guys do when I was a kid. I actually had fun doing manual labor.

being from argentina and see your little son (beautiful all of them) remember me when i was 38 years younger , the way he come down from the big horse ajaajaj i did the same , and when i have to mount , used to spit on the horse nee grab the crines and with all my 8 years old force claim to it , also remember crying when my mom put crean in my rear end because the sore were big enough to cover a 1 dollar coin , of course riding the horse mid summer mid day full sun on it back along

After watching very many of your videos, I have come to the conclusion that you need more children, specifically daughters, like a half a dozen or so. You are WAY too calm and composed for a man with nine children. There's an imbalance in the universe that must be addressed. By all normal standards you should be at your wit's end, yet you seem to be at peace with the world. More women will solve that problem. Just saying. In all seriousness though, you and your family are a blessing to us all. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I was a couple yrs old. Dad bought a push mower. Parked the truck under a shade. Got his tractor went to the field. I put water in the gas. Dad was mad at me. Ram my brother is 61 he is special needs. End of last summer, his can with mower gas was empty. I come home just in time to see him dump green liquid out of the gas tank. I keep some green diesel for my truck.
The best camera man is, ummm oh darn forgot his name, but its the next boy younger then Rylie and older then the blonde boy. he needs to be #1 camera man cause he tells us the story of whats going on through the eyes of a young cowboy. Good to finally see a CowGirl riding with the boys finally doing some work to pay for that basketball hoop construction. Future video basketball on da Ranch. Lucky she got a real hoop we had to make our own from a old bucket, first one was plactic and lasted a week [almost as long as it took 2, 8year olds to set it up behind the old barn] great grandfathers missing metal bucket is still hanging behind the old barn and hooped many many balls for a bunch of years.
think its totally awesome the way you raise your kids letting them basically take lead gathering and your wife actually walking all the way from the truck to the coral just to give both of the babies experience on horse you sir and your wife are surely raising your awesome family right way very seldom see that kinda thing in these days and times specially a mother who wants her babies to enjoy themselves she would walk that whole trail to the cows just to put a smile on those babies faces and give the youngest one their first experience of riding a horse sir i know you teach your kids important life lessons on the Ranch when you gather horses but if i may commend your wife on what she did for your babies that ma'am was mother of the year worthy

You should try and push those energetic cattle to water and get their bellies full of water and they will settle down.
I am starting to remember riding down the Hopi and Navajo fence line pushing the cattle towards our water trough. We'd let the horses rest up and while the cattle filled up with water. They would then walk to the corral. Carrying all that water takes the run out of them.

some sort of communications needed cell,wakie talkies ,two-way radios etc..etc..lot of open range out there..i dont know is signal not possible ,but you can get a type of walkie-talkie i know me and my family used them at disney in florida and they worked perfect,16 kids 9 adults,many seperations but we would get location no more lost kid...
FRS or GMRS radios 100% useful, no cell service needed or required....cell service out there is most likely spotty at best, and unreliable anyways. Better yet a HAM license and some cheap Baofang radios with much better capability and range than "walkie-talkies".
