That is a tanker of a mulie dead head!! The eye guards on it are world class! Honestly I have hunted 40+ years and never ever seen one with eye guards like those. I do have a whitetail buck with big ones.
I gotta say that musta been one fun day. Two sets of antlers (one was huge) and then roping a wild bull...puttin' your own ANCHOR Brand onto it...then "Transitioning" it into a Steer and not wasting one single thing. Finally taking a break and eating a nice hearty set of meatballs for lunch. What a day. Yeehaw!!!

Another great video guys really enjoyed it. Did bring up memories on the ranch. My aunt would bring a Dutch oven filled with grease and fish fry batter and potatoes and at noon she would start cooking. And thank God she never forgot the ketchup. I started working cows at 6 or 7 years old on my own horse and I am 58 now and still working cows. Thank God

Gordon Ramsay, famous chef, is known for enjoying unusual local foods around the world. He's made many documentary-kind of episodes talking to farmers, hunters, fishing people, etc., then to people who actually prepare the unusual foods, which he gets to eat and then maybe make something even better. Perhaps you could send him this video and suggest he would like to learn ho cowboys hunt, deal with cows (and whatever animal is found), and enjoy food cooked out in the desert. I can see Ramsey enjoying riding a good horse, learning about roping, and then turning what the bull has surrendered into a fine meal with a great sauce. Also, he and his wife have a lot of kids, so that aspect would be of interest to many. Programs could be broken up to allow viewers to see parties, rodeos, schools teaching young cowboys and -girls, and more. He might want to visit similar activities in New Mexico, AZ, ID (but... not Texas).

Ha ha funny when this came into my feed, I was just talking with my nephew about how I used to share the bulls nuts with my dogs as a kid, one for me one for them. Used to grill them up on skewers over the coals fresh from the bulls or take them home for mum to turn into stake, kidney and nuts pie.

Now *that* was an hour well spent! Among all the goodness was fuel for the debate I spend an unhealthy amount of emotion upon: What is the proper way to hang your carbine scabbard?
The oldest literature with quotes from cattle drive cowboys supports Reo's rig, left side, butt forward. This has always made the most sense to me, especially in areas containing possible hostiles; at the slightest sign of danger, dismount (left side) while pulling out your carbine and moving to keep the horse between you and the threat. In less dire situations, you can stay mounted with your left hand on the reins while you reach over with your right to withdraw your carbine. Ram's rig has the scabbard on the right side, butt backward. This is anathema to me; it undoes all the previous benefits of the proper mounting. But this is the way the scabbard is rigged in virtually all cowboy movies and TV shows. Watching that carbine butt bouncing and thwapping around as our hero gallops across the scene never fails to bring up a little vomit into my throat.
I wish I had memories of time with my dad like this, very cool. Work through.
My husband worked in a large Cattle Feedlot in CA in the summers. They called them Rocky Mountain Oysters or calf fries. Great video boys!

Am I not looking in the right section at my supermarket? Can’t find the oysters anywhere, even checked the seafood section. Delicacies like beef tongue and chicken gizzards are a rare find these days. My mother-in-law was so happy when I joined the family. Made it worthwhile for her to cook a tongue now and then.
This video made me the hungriest of any of your videos that I’ve watched. Back when I was younger both my older brothers and I had small cow herds. Every spring when the morel mushrooms were ready we would have mountain oysters and mushrooms. Big family get together with our parents and kids. (My wife was the only one who fried herself a piece of chicken)

My husband asked me once I knew what Rocky Mtn. oysters were and if i had ever eaten them. I said yes and no. He ask what I meant, I said yes I knew what they were and no I had never eaten them. He then asked if i was brave enough to eat them. I said when it comes to food I'd try anything once and twice if i liked it, so he took me to a restaurant to try them, I have eaten them several times but never that fresh.
